I love this place! I been coming here since I was a little girl. The staff here are super friendly and welcoming. They are very family oriented here. I love that this place still looks as it did when I was growing up. The prices here are resonable, definitely for the large horchata which is pretty big. They give you the option to be able to serve yourself your own amount of salsa, onion, etc. which is great because a lot of different places can be stingy with that. If you want good food and a friendly welcoming staff, this is the place to go.

My job is around the corner and I always have my workers go get the food for me from here. but today I walked here to grab some Mexican food… its a hole in the wall place with a few tables and one tv.simple. The food is really good compared to the restaurants that are bigger and more ‘fancier’…honestly I’ve had the chicken taco to the carne asada to the tostadas to their torts planchada to their sopes and it pretty simple jst delicious.

Best tacos on tweedy. The aside tacos are bomb and the tortas planchadas de lomo are the best in town. Very nice people at the counter that treat you like familia… love this place.

I would have given this place a better review but on several occasions that I’ve stopped by they didn’t have Wat I wanted. They always run out of stuff. The food is good but they need to have things available for their customers. Its not like oh it’s only happened once or twice. Its happened to me like 8 times. Never coming here again.

The only reason why I give this place a 4 is because its a little hole in the wall restaurant but it gives you the feeling like you are eating in Mexico which to me it’s awesome, who doesn’t wanna get the feeling like they are eating in Mexico since it’s so crazy now to go eat out there… I Miss You Puerto Nuevo… lol… Anyways… You gotta try there Torta Planchada de carne Asada, there sopes de Asada and there tacos de Asada… They are delicious… They are very tasty… There salsa is really good too my favorite is the red salsa and watch out for the habanero salsa that one is very hot… Well hope u guys find my review useful and give this place a chance…

It pains me to say but I just lost 100% liking of this place. As I was eating my Burrito, I noticed a lil roach walking on the wall. My sister told me she saw one a few months back. I still gave it a chance. Seeing was believing, goodbye taco shop. We had a good run, but you hit rock bottom with me. No more Ace’s in my book. My enjoyment of this place just walked out the door never to return.

If you have not ate here, you have no idea what you are missing out on. The carne asada here is always the best, my personal choice is in a burrito. This place keeps me coming back 2 – 3 times a week, I don’t work near the place either. I’ve contracted their catering (taquizas) before and everybody loved it. The people are great, service is great, and the food is great.

Okay so I’m from San Diego where we have thee best Mexican food. It’s right by the border, what can you expect? After unsuccessful attempts to find goodness in SF and LA I stumbled upon TDJ because it is by the school I work at. The nachos are made with fresh chips and are delicious packed with goodies. The sopes have lettuce, tomato, and avocado unlike King Taco who sticks to the meat and cheese formula. It’s cheap and the owners treat you like family. You can walk in the back door through the kitchen. Even the burrito, minus the rice and beans kinda, low key reminds me of home. Hole in the wall goodness.
