As a first time home owner I was looking for a reliable AC contractor to install a new Hvac system in my home. I searched around craigslist and Unilocal.I found some contractor that were really reasonable and happen to found they were not license and they were advertising them selves as a license and bonded company. Long story short I found Pros Complete Plumbing on Unilocal.I used them because there local and they had a good representation. They arrived on time, they where clean and perform all the work in 4 days. There were also very reasonable. I will recommend them to family and friends.

A very bad problem struck our household right before the weekend. I smelled gas at home, it worried me a lot, so I called Long Beach gas, they sent promptly an emergency Gas technician to check the issue. The Gas technician found that there is a solid gas leak under the house, and as required by California law, he turned off our gas meter, sealed it and put a lock bracket… Our family of 3 + a little baby was suddenly in a very unpleasant situation. All of our home appliances are dependent on gas, except our high-end electric convection oven. Cannot cook, cannot take a bath, cannot prepare the baby’s food… We felt like we were transported back to the stone age! Worst of all, it was already 3PM on Friday. I called 10 different plumbing contractors, and all of these people got pissy when they heard of the problem, and said they are just too busy to do this now. «Call me next Thursday, and maybe then I can talk to you about it», said the Family Plumber– a company that I thought I had a good relationship with(but lately they got so popular that their prices have sky-rocketed). «This type of job is very tedious, time-consuming, complicated, difficult, and will take days to complete… it is nearly impossible to fix, and you may have to replace the whole pipe network under the house. And it will be very, very costly». Some of these prima-donna plumbers even suggested that I may need to tear holes into the hardwood floors in some areas, or break into the concrete, in order to access the old pipes. Etc. Etc. Horrible experience! What a nightmare scenario, especially in a moment when we are trying to sell our house… Tough luck, Miki, you are looking at being without hot water for many days, and will cost you an arm and a leg. Nothing we can do. I was devastated last night. But early this morning I got a call back from the Emergency Technician, a very nice guy called Bernard. This guy probably felt pretty bad about sealing off the gas valve of a family with a small child. He left a voice message that I should call one plumber called Mr. Jose Robles– he may be able to help me. At 9:30AM on Saturday, I called Mr. Robles who committed to visit our house at 12:30PM. Mr. Robles arrived promptly, reviewed what has to be done, and started working right away. What a professional and courteous person, and so humble. Mr. Robles shared with me that has been in business for over 31 years– and clearly he knew very well what he’s doing. He worked hard for many hours, and called a younger associate to help him crawl in the narrow space under the house. They checked every single pipe and joint, and found not one, but 5 different leaks. They didn’t even take a lunch break, worked non-stop for 5 full hours to help my family reconnect gas, so we can take care of the baby girl… Replaced multiple gas tubes, valves, joints, ensured everything is properly insulated. And always explained to me what exactly they are doing, in a transparent and courteous way. 5:30PM– done! I prepared myself to pay at least $ 2000. But to my big surprise, Mr. Robles requested merely $ 400! I almost fell uncomfortable and gave him $ 500– $ 100 extra for being such an excellent hard-working and honest professional. It is very difficult to find small Mom & Pop plumbing businesses nowadays, and it is obvious that this gentleman is one of the older generation honest and hard-working plumbers that I thought were already extinct. This humble person«saved our lives» and yet they did not charge us an arm and a leg. This is the type of unlisted small business that I feel very proud and excited to add to the Unilocal business directory. I rarely feel as confident to recommend someone. I feel great because I’m helping out a true professional who actually deserves 10 stars. Mr. Robles will fix your plumbing problem promptly– he will deliver without too much fuss and caprice, and exceed your expectations. Note: this small business covers the entire city of Long Beach(and possibly some surrounding areas). Mr. Robles’ direct cell phone number is: 562−712−0920. Also, please mention to him that Miki M. from 1st Street Long Beach has recommended him– I would really appreciate it!
