Pancake Corner

Poor service, long wait for the food, served cold, one plate at a time. Would not recommend this place let alone come back.

We’re here now. About 8:30 am. So far service is bad.
The place is full though. And it’s also raining outside (I think that’s a factor).

First time my husband and I ate here. We pass this restaurant multiple times. Parking makes the place look packed. So naturally I assumed they have good food. Hubby ordered the biscuits and gravy. It’s taste chalky and it had no flavor. The sausage taste old and the bacon wasn’t crisp. I ordered the Denver omelet. It was suppose to come with hash browns but I didn’t get any. I got pancakes instead. For some reason the food was missing something and it tastes funny. Like it came from a can or a box. Smh. Mexican food look more fresh than the American food. Never ever coming back here again!

The place is nothing to get excited about. Food is alright and overpriced. Been there only 2 times. Definitely not worth the $ 42 we paid for one sausage and egg breakfast plate and one blueberry pancakes breakfast with an OJ and a coffee.

1^st time, everything was cold! Country Gravy taste like masa nd black pepper no flavor. Never again! Bad service asked them to change a plate nd said they couldent do it wtf? ?? Menu is miss interpreted. NEVER AGAIN

the worst food i ever ate … the tomato sauce is a CAN sauce, the meat and the potatoes were not cooked well and i was throwing up from the bad taste.
I would never go back again.

As the saying goes «Never Judge a Book By Its Cover» this place definitely fit that bill. Unfortunately for all the wrong reasons. I had high expectations for this place and one early morning had the chance to finally try it out. The food was no better that a fast food chain attempt on breakfast. The service is in a box of it’s own as it was so bad I had times within the 2 or so hours being there wanted to leave, better yet escape. Mind you we waited over an hour to be seated, then waited another 40 minutes for the food to arrive and to top things off, we’re rushed to finish. To be honest, not worth the time nor food not to mention the place is so small it felt just wrong.

The food is alright, not the best but not the worst either. Cute little place :-) great for a morning stroll. The service was okay and we only waited about 10 min or less for food to arrive, I would go again

Well we love having breakfast & will try most places. However, the food was overlooked and we didn’t have the option to substitute items of our choice. The seasoning was extremely bland. The atmosphere was great & inviting but We don’t believe the food matches the environment… We had the chicken fried steak & steak & eggs. The steak was overcooked & it was not as expected. We will not be suggesting this place to anyone.

This is my first time here with my family and i have to say this is the worst i have gotten ever. We have been waiting almost an hour for our food. But on the other hand the waitress is very nice.

My cheese omelette came with sandwich cheese terrible food was bland. the waitresses with there loads of makeup just socialized instead of asking for refills etc. i took in my prenatal shake n the owner or whatever her name is .said to me «dont bring outside drinks next time» my meal was 7.50 without a drink n they charge $ 1 for atm/​credit and u have to spend 10 $ she offered to giev me a juice for 2bucks but after the terrible service i wanted to give them no MORE of my money! ugh i was forced to purchase four packs of gum for that extra two bucks. this place is a dump! i shouldve went to ihop or dennys they have slams with coffee n juice for 8bucks smh… without the dirty environment. n unfriendly service that this place gives there patrons. HATED it ! i want my money back. regret trying this dump!

Food was good but small portioned. This place really gives you a home feeling. Very courteous service. Everyone that comes in here says good morning and everyone responds… I like it. :)

This was one of the most memorable restaurants I’ve ever been to, but not for a good reason. I tend to not pay attention to one star reviews. However this time around, I should’ve read them more carefully.
This was literally the worst service I’ve ever received in my life.
It was the day before Fourth of July, and I knew that it would be crowded everywhere. I decided to check this place out because I’d always driven by it. My boyfriend and I got in there and nobody made eye contact with us for at least 10 minutes. Normally we would’ve left, but we stuck around because we were starving and the lines were huge everywhere else.
We stuck around for a little bit, had two menus shoved at us, and our waitress took her sweet time socializing w the couple next to us. It was so insulting to be ignore that way. Finally, I got tired, walked out and had a bomb ass breakfast at El Tapatio in Lynwood. I can’t believe this place has been around forever. It’s patrons must literally have the lowest standards in the entire universe.

The wife and I drove by the other night and noticed this place. We had breakfast there three times already!!! What a perfect spot we’ve found!!!

Did not enjoy having my okay pancakes with a cockroach passing on the wall next to us. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she didn’t seem to care. Never ever again.

The pancakes looked at tasted great, made from scratch, they were butter milky and spongy yuummmm… Eggs and bacon were bomb… Everything was great including the friendly service… They accept all payment type but can not leave tip on the card so make sure you bring cash to tip your waitress!.. #tiporgohome

Been coming here for 5 years. Food is great, pancakes, chilaquilles, menudo deliciouso…
And the waitresses very good. One of my favorite spots to eat.

Sorry but, bad, so bad… For a place that looks like a legit mom and pop breakfast spot, I’d rather go to Denny’s, and I hate Denny’s! Menu needs to be redone and ingredients need to be wayyyy better. Poor quality bacon and cheap everything else. My tea was served with imitation honey (wtf?)! Didn’t finish anything and was bummed when I left. Parking sucks. Service was good tho!

I visited this place for the first time when taking my best friend out for breakfast for her birthday. I have to say, there is a different vibe from Denny’s or IHOP. This little place feels very family oriented and has a home feeling to it. It is also sticking to this 50s theme, since there are paintings of Elvis, Marilyn Monroe and James Dean.
The food is absolutely delicious — everything based homemade.
I was really glad that as a Birthday Breakfast — it was such a great choice.

Every time I drove by this place I kept saying I have to try it. I don’t know why, the place, the location or just the name PANCAKES…
My mom and her friend were visiting from AZ. So I suggested we go to the Pancake Corner, I did mentioned to both that I had not been there but I’ve been wanting to try it. The timing was perfect, I found parking, the lady at the front door was nice and the place was kinda empty for a Saturday morning. We ordered our food and drinks. It didn’t take long before we were digging uor forks into our yummy omelets, pancakes, waffles and sipping our coffee. The waitress never came to check up on us, we had someone else fill our coffee cups. And my kids, never got their orange juice and bacon strips. I literally had to call her attention, before we were done so she can bring the juice and bacon. Overall the bf was not salty, buttery or oily. It was perfect!
