California Donuts

I tried these for the first time at my job, the business owner did a collaboration with them for instagram i tried the Reeses peanut buttercup and Snickers donuts. They were really really deliches. The Reeses one was filled with peanut butter and the topped with chocolate and peanut butter, and the Snickers one was filled with an actual Snickers bar and topped with chopped peanuts

Came here with my cousin looking to satisfy that late donut craving. Looks like they put just enough love into making these. Perfectly round and fluffy, mouth watering. I didn’t make it back to the parking lot without eating two. Granted we bought about a dozen. So god we had to finish a few outside. The guy in there that night had the best sense of humor of any guy behind a counter. It was a slow night so he was willing to converse with us for a bit. Great Guy.

This is NOT the California Donuts that you’re thinking… no cute panda or Snickers donuts here, this place just happens to share the same name as the spot in Koreatown (the real California Donuts). Other Unilocal reviewer have mistakenly posed photos from the California Donuts shop in K-town…this is not it. It’s a really little donut shop on the corner, Super hot, not a lot of space to sit and there’s one small table outside. The guy in the shop was super nice but I got a bible school lesson while I was checking out… that was awkward. The donuts here are nothing to write home about, but they’re no better or no worse than something you’d buy at any other mom and pop donut shop. If I lived near by I’d probably stop by occasionally, it’s nothing id go out of my way for again.

Meh, it was ok. It just looks cute that’s all. :) They definitely took the time to make the donuts look good.

5 stars for great customer service! Ask for Meng and Navy! Great ice blended mocha and vanilla lattes. Very affordable
