Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt

This place is gross and has rude customer service…
1. If you have a infant and need a baby chair you will find none here and the person who was working the counter doesn’t really care… how can an ice cream place that may be geared towards children not have high chairs???
2. If you also have children there is not a changing table in the bathroom-​my friend changed her friends diaper on the floor of the bathroom.
Onto the place…
1. Everything was out of order and or out
2. The toppings were stale and disgusting
3. The customer service… none…the lady working behind the counter was rude and uninterested in her job or her customers
4. The place had a weird smell or sewage?
the chairs and floor were disgusting and dirty-​I found remnants of dried up yogurt on the chairs… when you first walk in you think-​its going to be OK but then upon further inspection you noticed how dirty the joint is.
There are much better places around… don’t come here you will disappointed and overcharged for hat you are receiving

While I do enjoy their product. the place is a dump. When my 3yr old comments on how filthy the floors are. you have a problem. What are the pimple faced teenagers doing behind the counter that they can’t run a mop over the floor once a day!!! Outside, i dont even think a hobo would want to sit on their ‘patio” with what appeared to be either spilled chocolate or diarrhea all over he sidewalk, under the table. Really, really disgusting. I have to imagine, if they keep up the shitty conditions, its only a matter of time before the Health Dept takes notice. What a shame.

I had to take 2 stars off my prior review because the last time I went, the place was a disaster. The floor was littered with trash, 2 of the 3 the yogurt cup dispensers were empty, the toppings bar was dirty and many tubs were empty and the napkin dispenser was totally empty. Also, the girl who was there just didn’t seem to care. She was in the back and seemed resentful that we came in. She rang up our order and when I handed her my rewards card, she didn’t want to swipe it, let alone tell me how many points I had on it. As soon as I paid, she turned around and went straight to the back. Apparently her shift was over and her replacement had just arrived. That employee seemed disgusted that the first girl clearly didn’t do anything. She filled up the napkin dispenser and gave me some napkins then proceeded with cleaning up the rest of the store.
I seriously doubt I will be coming back to this location. Appearance and your employees attitude really does make a difference. And that initial employee who was there totally made us feel unwelcome and it was clear she didn’t care about the store since it was such a mess.

The only reason I’m giving it 1 star is because of the customer service!!! The two girls working tonight were very rude and hardly spoke two words to me and my family than I was having a hard time working something and the girl at the counter just stood there and watched didn’t bother to help me my husband had the same problem with one of the yogurt dispenses the girl was acting like we were bothering her. She was also just standing around playing with her phone!!! Horrible will never ever return!!!

We came on Saturday afternoon and there were only two other people inside. Clean, modern, friendly cashier. I got: peach, mango and chocolate and was not disappointed.
Side note: there is a table outside with 4 chairs as well as two «lawn chairs» on opposite side of the door.

Disgusting, unless of course you want your lemon yogurt to have the flavor of lemon Lysol.

They don’t have many flavors and to me they all taste the same. The yogurt isn’t good.

Yumz makes me so sad. I’ve gone there 3 times because I seriously wanted to like this place but after the third time I’ve had enough.
The frozen yogurt is either too sweet or has no flavor and has a very odd, Icy texture.
The last time I went there I had the tropical coconut flavor and it tasted like Play-​Doh!
YUCK!!! I did not pay for Play-​Doh!
The topping are not up to standards either.
The candy toppings are very stale and the fruit toppings smelled super odd and not good.
I just can’t go back anymore. :(

They have the best topping bar around, but their yogurt is sub-​standard. It is not yummy or really tasty. It may be that this location is doing something wrong with the flavoring. Now if you try other yogurt places, the yogurt should be the main thing you put in your cup, not toppings. Otherwise, I wanted to love this place, but I found a new place in South Barrington.

The first bad froyo place I’ve ever been to! I can’t believe the Unilocal reviews let me down on this one. I really didn’t think you could go so wrong with frozen yogurt but apparently you can. I tried almost every flavor at this place and none of them were any good, either they were too watery, too yogurty, or had a weird after taste. I’m sorry to say I was very disappointed.

I really enjoyed my first trip to Yumz. I am currently eating dairy free, and they had a couple of good options. I enjoyed the wide range of toppings, especially the little juice filled ball treats. The two young ladies working were super cheery and friendly, and suggested good items to go with my dish. I will definitely be back!

Love this place! We tried acai blueberry and strawberry kiwi. The strawberry kiwi was alright; it was a sorbet. But the acai blueberry was fantastic!
Lots of fantastic toppings to choose from and you can put as many different flavors of frozen yogurt in one cup as you want. Great for the day when you can’t make up your mind and want 2 or 3 or 4 flavors :-)
For a full cup it was about $ 6. I like that you pay by the ounce; gives you freedom to control your price as well as try as much or as little as you want.
The place was clean with modern décor. Based off the décor alone, I got the impression that the target market for this particular fro-​yo place is for teens/​young adults.

Stumbled upon this place by accident one day and definitely glad I did! It is located right next to the Buffalo Wild Wings on Randall. I love the atmosphere… very cute and colorful. There’s a good variety of yogurt flavors to choose from, but the highlight for me was the toppings. They have everythinggg! The fruit was fresh and I like that it is pay by the ounce and reasonably priced. Worth a try, especially since there are no other decent yogurt places in the area.

I would rate this –5 stars if i could. The ‘yogurt’ here is beyond horrible, no flavor and stale toppings. I am a big fan of frozen yogurt and I love the self-​serve idea. I have been to much better places then here. Obnoxious teenagers also didn’t help my experience, neither did the mess they made. I couldn’t even finish my bowl of yogurt because of the gritty texture. I will be sure not to return.
