Our Place Restaurant

Stopped by this place on a whim and we were pleasantly surprised. We have driven by for years and never thought to stop in because it doesn’t look like much on the outside. We have been missing out. Food was outstanding and owners are very polite and friendly (especially the wife). Prices were fair too! Highly recommend this place for a low key dinner and drinks. Family atmosphere.

Great little bar. older crowd so dont expect a rowdy crowd. friday night fish fry is very good. However they also have other food thats great any time. grill is not open all the time only for lunch and dinner. But if u are in town and want a good bite to eat try the our burger it is a very good burger that fills ya up

Hands down best fish fry in the Fox Valley! Staff are super friendly and service is good. Ribs are excellent as well.
Fills up fast on Friday fish fry so get there early or order take out. Great little neighborhood bar. Perfect for having a beer with friends and being able to talk with out competing against 40 TV sets and a juke box!

My wife and I went here every Friday for years for their fish. She got catfish and I got haddock and it was always delicious! Friendly, friendly wait staff and bartenders. Their ribs are some of the best I’ve had also. Very reasonably priced. If you’re ever in the area on a Friday night I encourage you to go.

Get to go fish fry from here, so yummy! It is cash only and you cannot call ahead but it’s ok bc when you get home the food is worth the hassel :-)

So I went back bc some local friends wanted fish. Mistake!!! I met the owner– he was a jerk. His name is Kenny, he is a large man with the voice of a shrimp. He bragged about his food (which sucked) and he swears like a sailor. I had a burger with beans (no taste or flavor) and the beer was flat. Again, this shit hole sucks. Why I let my friends talk me in to going back is beyond me.

Best pasta ever. Saturday night all you can eat pasta for $ 8.50 is totally worth it. Meat sauce is loaded with meat. Not a lot of parking and doesn’t accept credit cards but has a great small neighborhood bar feeling to it.

This is a great local’s hangout, it has a bar and restaurant area. They are really known for their Friday Night Fish Fry. I go here all the time for the haddock fish fry on Friday nights. It does get pretty crowded on Friday nights, it can get pretty loud inside as well. It’s very similar look and feel of a place you’d see up in northern Wisconsin. Food is always good. We’ve order most everything on the menu over the many years we’ve been going here and everything is honestly good. Generous portions, you will not go home hungry. Ken the owner is always great to chat with if you do a take out order, he sits in the back and takes the orders. The waitresses are always pleasant and great service. This is a CASH ONLY business, so just make sure you bring cash. They have monthly specials, so check them out. First Saturday of every month is Steak and Lobster, second Saturday of every month is Fajitas, third Saturday of every month is Prime Rib and remaining Saturday’s are Chef’s Choice Special. First of all — this place does NOT take credit cards! Leave your plastic at home and bring your cash. This is not stated on the menus nor the front door so be warned here!
We went on a Saturday night on recommendation from my husband’s coworker. Had a wonderful meal and great service. My husband got the rib dinner for $ 11.50, I got a half fried chicken dinner for $ 9. We shared our meals and honestly, they were both absolutely off the charts yummy. He had a beer, I had a couple of cocktails, and our bill was only $ 33. Unbelievable value.
The building and interior are not anything fancy — remind me of a resort town bar in Wisconsin. Lots of beer signs and simple décor. I won’t even suggest it needs updating because it is what it is and the décor is very bar-​like.
Our server was incredibly sweet and apologetic about the cash thing (no, we didn’t know, and tried to pay with a credit card) … she told us where the closest ATM was. Told her we’d be back next weekend so she gave us a take out menu and explained the menu very thoroughly to us. She told us that the Mexican Pepper Steak, when served, is so popular that people call ahead of time and «reserve» it. Some people reserve extras to take home and freeze!
So if you’re looking for great food and a relaxing bar where you feel like you’re among regulars but not treated as an outsider, try Our Place Restaurant.
