One of the traditions of Summer vacation on the South Coast shores, «Nellie,» the Cow figure that has been a signature of Salvador’s for the last 35 years, stands patiently, atop the«Milk Jug» welcoming us, as a land-locked lighthouse beacon to pause, reflect, consume a cup or cone of frozen yum. Daily featured flavors, Salvador’s sells ice cream, and Summer New England snacks and sandwiches. This year macaroni and cheese bites were added to the menu. In the neighborhood, stop by, and watch your driving speed… Police like ice cream, too, and the parents of young patrons will appreciate obedience to the motor vehicle speed limit. Well maintained property is considered a historic building, and is worth the photo opportunity. Proximity to beach and bike trails make this a very popular establishment.

Fantastic one of a kind ice cream shop that I have been frequenting for over 40 years. IMHO one of the best lobster rolls in the area. Owners are super nice as well!

Old school ice cream shack with decent lobster rolls and Gifford(ME) ice cream. The owner is dog friendly which is a plus. Cutie pie spot near Coastal Vineyards.

We were driving around and found this place on our drive! We stopped and got some chicken fingers and ice cream! The food and ice cream was amazing! The pistachio ice cream had pistachios in them! Usually they have different fillers such as almonds which are not as good! We also got the moose track and it was a hit when we brought it back to our friends and family! Thanks again! We will be returning again!

We were pleasantly surprised to stumble on this awesome ice cream stand! We had a large party with a lot of kids, and we all got our orders correctly & quickly! When the littlest dropped his chocolate ice cream in the dirt, they were kind enough to replace it for free! We also took an ice cream home for Grandpa, and it was well packaged, including napkins & a spoon. A great find!

A superb afternoon snack of Moose ice cream and Mint Chocolate Chip as well. What a great spot Salvador’s is and it sits in what looks like the middle of the midwest. All this while being a short bit from the ocean.

Want to know the definition of my childhood? Salvador’s. Want to know how to make my worst day be amazing? Salvador’s. Want to know the way into my heart? Salvador’s. I like to consider myself a professional ice cream connoisseur, and I think I owe that to Salvador’s. I have had Salvador’s since I was in my mom’s belly, because she lived on icecream and hotdogs while pregnant with me. It was this initial exposure when my obsession, addiction, whatever you want to call it, with ice cream started. Salvador’s is exactly 1.5 miles from my summer house in Salters Point. We were so excited to finally be «of age» to ride our bikes alone to get our icecream. The sound of the gravel, the smell of the manure at the farm, and most memorable, the milk jug. If you have ever been, you know what I mean. While Salvador’s does not make their own icecream, they perfect the quintessential dairy farm, small town, middle of no where feeling. They have an unbelievable array of flavors, and their food is really good. Fries, chicken fingers, grilled cheese, dogs and chips are always perfect. Especially after a jump in Buzzard’s Bay, a Corona on the beach, and a 1.5 mile bikeride to make you not feel guilty about how much you are eating. The ride home always sucks though. While they have undergone many ownership changes, and color changes in my time, for some reason it always feels the same. They have since added nice benches and tables to sit at, as well as games to play while you are waiting. No matter where you are in the state of Massachusetts, take a trip here. The scenery, the beaches, the flavors will be worth it. You will know what true love feels like.

Great ice cream(they serve Giffords) and friendly service. We are regulars. The Maine blueberry is my personal favorite.

I’ve been coming to Salvador’s for 27 years, and it’s hands-down my favorite I’ve cream place. My Grandad use to bring me here every time we went to Round Hill Beach when I was young, and now I’m bringing my kiddos here. We live out in Arizona now, but whenever we visit Mass, Salvador’s is our first stop. All of the ice cream flavors are amazing(our favorites are Lobster Tracks, Maine Blueberry, and Frozen Pudding — if you never tried the frozen pudding before ask for a sample… It’s out of this world!). Four generations of my family have been coming here whenever we get a chance… Thanks Salvador’s for all the great memories!

I heard great things about this place before I even saw it. When I saw that it happened to be a giant milk jug driving by – I thought«this is out of control» and knew I couldn’t pass up a taste at the first opportunity – which happened to be a butter toasted lobster roll, which was great, but what really got me was the mint chocolate chip brownie sundae, and yes – the brownie was hot, and fresh. I will never, EVER, forget that sundae. It was hands down the best I’ve had, and hopefully not the last.

I’m here daily when we are at Salters. It is inconvenient that they only take cash, but eating ice cream from a giant milk jug is totally worth a trip to the ATM.

better than oxfords and not just for the ice cream. hotdogs come on a buttery, toasted roll, perfect food for a beach day with the kids or a late night romp for the adults. grilled cheese, fries… all good. 20 – 25 flavors a night, with 5 – 10 seasonal specials for hard ice cream and frozen yogurt. although small, it is a must if you live in the area or vacation there. the locals know. if you see a 40 foot black milk bottle on the side of the road, you’re already there.

I’m a huge fan of Salvador’s. Perfect summer location to grab a surprisingly perfectly executed Lobster Roll and then cap it off with ice cream. Awesome variety of ice cream from basic flavors to a few creative ones. Plenty of outdoor seating. If you’re in the area, try it.
