I frequent palace 9 often… probably at least 2 – 3 a month. The staff is always friendly and the theater is pretty clean. I enjoy the fact that it’s not overly crowded at this location compared to other theaters around here. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive!

It’s a nice theater for sure but it has some downfalls. First of all, it’s almost never busy even for big movies like Furious 7 or Avengers 2. The costumer service is OK. The seats are fine but not the best and the screens aren’t the best either. The place is pretty old but it’s a good movie theater if you’re not too picky.

I saw Jurassic World in 3D. The sound was great, but the picture was unimpressive. The brightness of the film flickered constantly throughout the entire movie. The picture itself didn’t even fill the entire screen, making it almost feel like it wasn’t wide screen(very distracting). The seats recline a bit, which is nice, but still felt uncomfortable.

Just moved to the Burlington area. Have been to this theater 3 times and must say it is being run by rookies. Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an adult staff member, only teenagers. First time was okay. Second time the movie did not start on time, it was over 10 min past the scheduled start time so a theater patron had to go get a staff member to start the movie. The third time I had to go get a staff member because the curtains hadn’t been completely drawn and we weren’t able to see the full screen… so annoying. Will be looking for better run theaters in the area.

Best theater in town! It’s always very, very clean, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and good sound system.

This is a slightly older theatre. Stadium seating, and friendly staff. Average prices for blockbuster films with the occasional indy. Popcorn can sometimes be stale but they are the only theatre to have dr pepper on fountain!

This theater was a very pleasant surprise. We went to see«The Equalizer» with Denzel(a terrific film). 1) the theater was small. 2) the seats were high with neck and back support. They reclined. Best seats to see a film we have sat in outside of LA. 3) terrific screen & sound 4) not too many previews, film started on time 5) the fella who took our tix and got us our popcorn looked like Ron Howard from Happy Days. Super nice & the popcorn was great. 6) a 100⁄100 film experience. This theater is a gem – just a gem.

People across the nation complain about going to the cinema. The movie ticket cost, the cost of snacks(the calories in snacks), sticky floors, grumpy ticketers, finding seats etc. But, we all love going. Palace 9 is conveniently located right off from 7, though it’s in kind of a strange area. It’s really dark back there, and kind of «creepy» in a way. It’s hard to explain unless you’ve been there. However, it’s the closest cinema to my place so I go there more often than not. Now, there’s nothing *wrong* with P9, in fact, I like going to it. But they often don’t get in a lot of the latest movies – it seems like they’ll get in one or two of the biggest films, and then they’ll be playing films that have been out forever. The other cinemas in the area do a much better job of getting the«big» films in. It’s pretty cheap though. Two tickets and a medium drink+popcorn to share just nudges $ 30. Considering that I used to live in an area where two tickets alone would be $ 30, I don’t mind paying. Plus many of the other complaints such as sticky floors or grumpy attendents just don’t exist here. It’s a small theater but it’s never crowded. They have a crew that’s in cleaning before everyone’s exited the movie, and people working are pretty pleasant. They’ve recently added 3D projectors too, but I couldn’t care less about that. My only other complaint would be they usually only show movies until about 10. some really big films will have midnight openings, but other than that, I’d like to be able to catch a late night flick on some weekends, and I just can’t do that…

The popcorn is consistently burned. Parents can’t purchase tickets to a «R» rated movie unless they actually watch the movie. The theater is very outdated. No stadium seating. Essex Cinemas knows how to run a theater!
