Oh dear… where to begin??? The young lady who worked there clearly did not want us(or any customers) in the building that day. She didn’t even greet us(it’s a one room facility!!), put the drinks down without a word, and made us feel like idiots when we asked to try a sample of a different beer. The beer itself was good, but honestly we just tried to guzzle them down and get out of there as fast as we could. We tried to be nice, but the worker made it so obvious that she had her mind set on treating us badly from the minute we walked in. Seriously… I’ve had break ups that were more pleasant than the three minutes we spent in that place.

Whoa what was that! Maybe I went on an off day but I got the feeling they didn’t want anyone there. Served with glasses slammed on the bar by a very angry woman behind the counter who couldn’t stop hate filled glaring. The beer is good but just had to get out of there as quickly as possible! At least when I went was not worth the trip out. Scary!!! 2 stars not none because of the good beer.

Very solid brewery in the burlington area with a nice variety of beers to sample. I went in April and the tasting was free!

If you’re doing a self guided brewery tour, put this on your map. Called in advance for an appointment during the week(open hours on the weekend per the website) and was accommodated on the spot. Owner/brewer was staying late cleaning kegs and agreed to give us a tasting, complete with a back of the house brew tour. Shop talk and local recommendations round the gamut for this salt of the earth Vermont brewer. Highly recommend!

We stopped in here for the first time late on a Saturday afternoon. Beer samples are free at the bar, as are pretzels and lively chat from the owners. On tap are Saison Golden Ale, Red Ale, IPA and Stout. While I enjoyed them all, the Saison was my favorite by quite a large margin — this is a really superb example of this style. The IPA is also excellent, and I“m looking forward to the new 8.5% ABV Double IPA that should be on tap next weekend. The stout is good, but I prefer my stout to be a bit meatier. Just a personal preference. I would love to see what they would do with an oatmeal or Imperial variation of this classic. On the whole, another excellent Vermont brewery. Five Unilocal stars well earned. Bravo!

I can’t believe these guys weren’t on the Unilocal map before! Tasting is free. Beers are diverse and tasty. I particularly liked the Saison. Service is friendly and fast. What more is there to be desired in a brewery? Stop in for a quick tasting and a stamp on your Vermont Beer Passport.
