Schiffman Chiropractic

I drive down all the way from Chicago to see Dr. Schiffman. He is hands down one of THE BEST + worth the drive. He also has affordable care plans.
3 years ago I was bed ridden & in excruciating pain and basically wanting to die. Insomnia, migraines, throwing up and shooting pains were my daily reality. I went to specialist after specialist and several chiropractors. The chiropractors gave temporary relief but could not solve the issue. The backs specialists wanted to cut me open to explore and give my expensive pain shots. No one could diagnose me. I had lost all hope and a lot of money.
When I came to Schiffman I honestly expected nothing. It was my last resort — a friend encouraged me to go. I was in so much pain that I honestly wanted to die so I figures what do I have to lose?
After a full set of x-​rays and a scan he was able to diagnose the issue. This alone was a miracle to me. There was a twisted vertebrae in my lower back causing all the issue to both my upper and lower back. He said with consistent chiropractic at least 3 times a week I would be back to good. For the first time in a long time, I had hope.
Within a matter of weeks my insomnia went away. This was unbelievable — to be able to sleep again! The migraines became less and less. Sometimes I had bad days but the schiffmans let me call them w my concerns and he always encouraged me and gave me solutions. It’s like he was on the journey with me.
I am now 90% pain free with occasional flare ups and I only need to see him twice a month. Both herniated discs in my neck have completely gone away. I’ve also learned so much about health from Dr Schiffman. I’m so so thankful.
For me — Dr Schiffman and true principled chiropractic gave me my life back. I’m 35 years old and looking forward to many many more.

Dr. Schiffman is a very very nice man, great heart. But I was not impressed with the practice. Felt like it was assembly line way of getting people in and out very quickly. Too quickly. All treatments where rushed and I didn’t feel they were thorough. No record keeping of anything, other than the date I came, was nonexistent. This was a huge problem with my insurance company who requested the treatment records. Stay away if you really need treatment and have to have records like notes and evaluation of symptoms /​treatment /​prognosis /​future treatment. He has many people who love the practice… I’m just not a fan.
I started going to Dr James Husband DC found him to be super thorough in adjustment.
