Over the years from visiting friends and family at other universities I have played on many university golf courses. I would say I have played at over 10 school run courses and Notre Dame’s course is in the top three along with Ohio State and Clemson. BUT the biggest difference about the other two is that Notre Dame sits on a great lake and is basically frozen for half the year. The freezing and thawing makes it a tough time to keep the greens but some how they keep it pristine. I loved playing here in the spring and fall. You have a small window to play but it is wonderful. If you have a Notre Dame ID its is pennies on the dollar. I would put this course up against most private courses in the $ 60-$ 80 range. ND would give them a run for their money.

Loved this golf course, where else can you play 18 holes of gold for $ 4 for being a student or alumni. Great course, green, a little challenging, but so much fun. Played here a bunch while in school. It was so cheap, compared to $ 50+ for golf in the bay area. You could not play most of the year due to the snow, but it was gorgeous otherwise. Used to come here all the time after class or on a weekend. Even better with $ 2 margaritas on Thursdays after class and then straight to golf.
