Checked in for two nights in a ND home game weekend. Room is double the normal rate… Bed and mattress are ok, pillows need to be replaced. Hard. Bathroom. Lid on toilet is cheap plastic and one side is unattached. Shower curtain barely reached inside tub and because it is not longer constantly rises up and water gets on floor. Breakfast is 6:30 — 9:30. Am. Went down at 9:05 am. No fruit, boxed cereal gone, only a few slices of bread and a line for waffles. You hurt empty as well. Very disappointing and had to go elsewhere for breakfast. Got back to room at 11 pm and it hasn’t been cleaned. Called desk and told them. Next morning breakfast area at 8:00 am. No fruit and just poor choices . Well, won’t be staying here again

Tried to reserve for two days, they say they did then later say we only had one day. Needed to cancel that reservation, but they wouldn’t answer their phones for two days. Then blames us for not canceling in time so they charge us for the stay anyway. Would never stay here since they don’t seem to care about customers anyway.

Welp, that last review bit me in the ass. Not sure if I’d come back after the weird housekeeping debacle last weekend. We left a nice note and a good sized tip to thank housekeeping. When we were going to lunch someone asked if we were checking out and we said no and she replied«We will have your room all done by the time you’re back». I’m thinking«Great!». We get back several hours later and walk in — the room is still a mess. We find that the money is GONE and there’s a note left in the unmade bed that says«Didn’t have time to make the bed». What? You had time to write a note to let me know that you couldn’t make the bed? Upon further inspection, all that was done was a couple towels were removed and they even had the courtesy to leave a dirty, damp cleaning cloth right by our toothbrushes. Wow.

Faith restored! Stayed in Executive Suite . Thank you! Large clean brightly lit rooms. Friendly staff, great water pressure, quiet flushing but working toilets! All La Quinta’s should strive for this standard,

No way this place deserves less than 4 stars. Clean, spacious rooms. It’s newly renovated but not like one of the super fancy La Quintas. The King Suite had a separate office and television with sleeper sofa. Plenty of closet and storage space. There was a rather large gap in the door jam which allowed for a significant amount of light to shine in, as another Unilocaler commented on in another review. They are dog friendly with ample grass area for walking your pet. Located right next to the airport, and right next to a busy road, but road nose and plane noise wasn’t an issue on the third floor. Oh, the third floor, about that. The elevator was broken so we had to haul dogs and luggage up three flights of stairs. After 16 hours of driving this was not ideal. Despite being a loyal Gold member and making a reservation ahead of time requesting a first floor room, we were given a room on the third floor. The comfy bed and extra TV made up for my grumpiness and this hotel will remain on my list of places to stay during a road trip!

Nice location near the South Bend airport. Quiet and away from a lot of traffic. Friendly staff, room was nice although not really soundproof. Could faintly hear my next door neighbor conversation. Small exercise room with elliptical, treadmill, recumbent bike, and weight bench but no water in the room. WiFi connection was spotty in both the room and lobby. Suggest management look to ensure WiFi is stronger and easier for guests to connect to. Breakfast area was well stocked with waffle mix, boiled eggs, breads, juices, breads, fruit, and cereal. Difficulty in getting my room ac/heating unit to work consistently. Would still consider staying here next visit.

This airport’s proximity to the hotel was the right choice. Free parking, easy access to the airport, bus and a commuter train to Chicago. Nice staff, very clean room. Easy check-in, lots of parking… so why complain? I arrive very late(after midnight) on a Sunday. I had a 8:00 am meeting in Downtown Chicago on Monday morning. There is a train just a short ride away that takes you to Chicago for about $ 11. Perfect! The next part is a bit personal. I’ll be abstract. I didn’t pay much attention to the toilet after using it before bed. But at 5:45 am, it was apparent that it was not going to do well with solid material. I had less then a half hour to get ready. So I showered, dressed and bolted for the train. I asked the desk clerk to have the manager call later that day. By 3:00 no call, so I reached out twice. The manager suggested that I should of switched rooms. I had little time during my six hour stay. I needed to just get dressed. And by the time I knew there was a problem, I was leaving She complained that I was a Hotwire booking and offered little compassion. Well, the restroom on the train was uninviting and I found a comfort station later in Chicago. I’m a road warrior. All I need is a bed, shower and toilet. But I need all three! All is well at the end of the day. I will stay again because of the idea of the driving to the train. Minor issues with poor internet and noisy bathroom fan. Bottom line, there was no feeling of welcome at this property!

Great place to stay overnight when traveling cross country with pets. Very clean, modern, quiet. **bring dinner with you… there’s nothing around for miles and miles**

We’ve driven across the country several times and stayed at other budget hotel chains. We were planning on staying at another hotel down the road, but stopped when we saw the great rate and that the hotel was newly renovated. The front desk was friendly and there was no charge for a dog! Our room(first floor) was clean, new and large. The beds and pillows were comfy and clean. Our one complaint was the fact that the curtains are completely see through and there are no heavy curtains to pull over them! This made it so people walking by could see in and that the bright parking lot lights(which I normally appreciate!) shined right into the room. The AC is right below the window, so the longer decorative curtains on the sides that are heavier would block the airflow. Still… better curtains would have made all the difference. If that bothers you, the higher floors would be better! Didn’t have the breakfast, but I don’t come to budget hotels in South Bend to enjoy a fantastic breakfast! This hotel is definitely the nicest bang for your buck in the area.

We stopped in to this hotel as we were exhausted after a long drive and this hotel was one of the first we saw, not to mention it was a good rate for the night. The check in process was short(front desk staff were polite), we parked in a fairly full parking lot owned by the hotel & we went to our room right away to get some much needed sleep. I found the room to be quite spacious and the bed comfortable to sleep in, the WiFi was not very good(continued to go on & off) and the breakfast they offered in the morning was not very good nor filling. If I am in the area, I may stay at this hotel again. I would not make a specific trip to, although.
