One of the coolest stores on the planet if your into any kind of gaming. This place was a second home growing up.

This is a great little game store that most people probably don’t even know exists. Just like any gamer, we tend to buy all of our stuff online, but it is always nice to stop in and see what’s going on in other towns. One thing I did love was that I was able to get some of my grown-up coloring books there! Also, she has an AMAZING book selection

This place is nerd paradise. I don’t do an awful lot of rpg playing, but I love highly strategic, German-style board games. When I’m in Griffin, I’m like a pig in shit(pardon the vulgarity)! They have an extraordinary variety, both of classics and of games I’ve never heard of. Or imports! It’s amazing. Check out the sale games in the stairwell, too. There are some great finds there. Speaking of the stairs– they have an equally amazing selection of used books in the basement. Everything from fantasy to foreign language. I always come out of there with way more in hand than I had intended to buy. Dangerous… But awesome!

Great game and bookstore. Full of friendly patrons and staff. I’ve always enjoyed going there on a Friday night and meeting new people and playing new games.

If you are in town and have some time, run by this book and game store. What a find. If you’re a gamer, you will find some amazing board and card games. They also have a very eclectic collection of books. I found 2 very old books in French that I was excited to have. Check this place out.

I’m not a gamer, but I’m glad such a place exists for game-lovers in this area. For those of us who just want a bookstore, we’ll still find a nice basement full of dusty pages worth browsing through every now and then.

I’ve been stopping by this place for over 20 years. Ken and Sarah are really nice people and very informed about their products. Board games, card games, role playing games, books, miniatures, even games in foreign languages, and used games and books. This is a treasure chest of fun for people like me.

The Griffon does indeed sell books– and good books too, not just the stuff that makes the NYT best seller list. I’ve got a couple of shelves of Penguin Classics from years of hanging out there. They’ve also got good selections of science fiction, fantasy, and other literature. The real difference with the Griffon is that it is also a great game store with a good selection of classic war-games, role-playing, and boardgames.

Where else would you go for your gaming needs? I used to go here years ago at this location and at their old spot. Always friendly, helpful and a good selection of RPG stuff. What else do you need. I walked in to see if I could find the new edition of the Rifts manual and walked right to it. I then decided to check through the dice. I ended up grabbing a clear hollow d10 with a small d10 inside(to fill my percentile roll needs(why roll 2 dice when you can roll ‘em at once?)) I was thanked for not going through the elaborate session of dice rolling to find the ‘hottest’ one*. *Learn more about gamer dice philosophy by visiting the links that Bill B. posted in one of his reviews: (thanks Bill)

on my second visit I checked out the basement. it’s still a little moldy but brighter and cleaner than before. there’s books down here, and a huge selection of historical miniatures. it’s quite amazing — I’ve never seen anything quite like it.
