Stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday. I was lucky enough to get one of their newest cabins which sleeps up to 6 people, which was a little bigger than I needed for just me, but come thanksgiving when my family came over for dinner, it was just right. Having a full kitchen set up is wonderful. A little on the spendy side, but worth it. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.

Indoor pool and hot tub. Across the hwy 101 from the beach so you can walk there. Good WIFI in the club house. Good location. Thousand Trails so you have to find your own space. We fortunately found one our rig could fit in. Also could get satellite, not all spaces can. You need to buy a cell phone booster if you want to use your phone. UPS can deliver here so you can get one from Amazon for a lot less than they sell them in the park’s store. We will definitely go back here again.

Nice campground with small private spaces between trees, with just a small space for table but ground is not level(trailer pad was level). Trash cans placed conveniently, only two bathrooms for over 150 sites, only 3 washers and four dryers but I didn’t have any trouble finding empties. No Wi-Fi or Verizon cell service except for in the internet room. Cable tv choices were excellent with oodles of channels for an additional $ 3 per day. Staff was extremely friendly and were accessible. Overall a nice campground. I marked it down one point as I purchased this membership and this its called a resort and as such I expect the amenities of services without paying any extra. I would stay here again.

«Whaler’s Rest, it’s the best!», said the bearded camp ranger as we entered. This RV park has many awesome features, but also some serious liabilities. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: 1. Location, South Beach OR between Waldport and Newport. 2. Heated indoor pool. 3. Cement pad RV spaces. 4. Scenic views. 5. Nice camp store. 6. Tennis, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, trails, fire pits. 7. Swell rec rooms. Cons: 1. Lacks adequate restroom and shower facilities! A total of 3 restroom/shower buildings for over 170 camping sites! One restroom/shower closes at 11:00 pm. 2. Lots of chlorine in pool. Very warm water. 3. Wi-fi available only in the clubhouse areas.
