My family loves Broadway Seafood South Amboy! The food is delicious! Our favorite is the Flounder Sandwich on Rye Bread and the outstanding, never disappointing New England Clam Chowder. Another gem is the homemade shrimp dumplings. They are unique and delicious. Broadway Seafood not only has yummy food they are also very pleasant, accommodating and eager to please. I highly recommend Broadway Seafood and wish them continued success!

While its a small outdated place the food is good and reasonably priced.
Having lived in Korea for a year I am always on the hunt for good Kimichi and they indeed have excellent Kimchi.
While I live in Monmouth county I stop here when the NJ Transit trains are backed up and delayed. Its a short walk from the train station to Broadway Seafood.

I’ve walked past place for a few years & never tried it. Part of me is sad I’ve been missing out, the other is SO excited to have hit the jackpot w this local inexpensive seafood spot. The calamari is great, the oil is fresh. I’m indulging in these seafood dumplings ! Another great additive, they sell raw organic NJ farm honey ! You can sample it too

I had this as one of my bookmarked places to check out, and with all the rain we had over the weekend, thought it’d be a perfect opportunity to try their seafood chowder.
The place has a very dingy/​hole in the wall type of atmosphere. The owner (I assume) was very friendly, and the soup was better than most, but not great. It seems it’s been around for a long time as others that came in after us (we apparently just beat the rush), all seemed to know the owner and each other.
Personally, I will only order food to pick up from here (they have some tables, but aesthetically, I wouldn’t want to stay in to eat). Also, it’s a BYOB place.
