This is our go to place when nobody wants to cook and we want to eat cheap. It’s not fine dining but it’s good food. Salad bar is awesome. Waitstaff is always nice food comes out quick.

I won’t even bother detailing the underwhelming greasy breakfast buffet. I feel I must mention what I consider serious health concerns. Seated in view of what might be called food staging area I was able to observe one short haired fifty-something waitress mash her palm on her chin and rub it upward across her runny/itchy nose snorting loudly the way a child of six or seven might. She didnt bother washing her hand before returning to the dining room. Gross and unsanitary! A moment later i watched two other waitresses fiddling with the coffee machine drop several unused filters on the dirty floor but instead of throwing them away, returned to the stack to contaminating the clean filters as well!

Not the best place for breakfast but in a pinch it worked for me a few weeks ago when the place I planned to meet for an appointment was closed. It’s clean and the price is right for a meal. Polite staff, but they have the appeal of a midnight truck stop.

A nice local restaurant for a good, family meal. I went for breakfast with my mom the other day and the food was delicious and reasonably priced for the portion you receive. I got crabcake eggs benedict that was wonderful! They also have a salad bar that looked like it had some great selections. I really enjoy supporting local places like this! Check them out.

Eh, we’ve only eaten here a handful of times in the 20+ years we’ve lived in Souderton, those few times were rather disappointing. The food tasted stale and was somewhat chewy, as though it had been sitting out for a while prior to our arrival.

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. Tasteless food, over priced, dirty and a grumpy waitress with RBF(resting bitch face). Eat at Burger King next door instead.

Sunday breakfast buffet: the Eggs Benedict are on mini bagels rather than English muffins and they skimp on the ham, but the fact that the egg yolks were nice and juicy and not overdone like most buffets outweighs the negatives. The quiche is delicious snd the scrapple is brown and crisp outside, soft inside, which is the way it’s supposed to be. The fruit bowl would benefit from fresh strawberries and maybe pineapple to brighten up the so-so melon pieces. The pastry element needs a boost as well. They need to replace the mini grocery store donuts with real, fresh donuts and add mini scones or something. Add one big ticket item such as carving ham and you could be looking at a five star buffet here for $ 8.95.

This place is awful. The food and service left a lot to be desired. If I could give 1 less star I would. How can someone screw up breakfast?

It’s frustrating that I even have to give it a star. My wife and I ate there for dinner tonight. It is easily the worst meal I’ve ever eaten. Service was passable, but it was bad food. My wife had the boom boom burger, which is basically a really bad boiled burger patty with some sub-par bacon, hot sauce, and a few other things. It tasted like slightly spicy card board. I had broiled scallops. Awful! The scallops were not rotten but that’s the only positive. The lemon had no flavor. The rice pilaf tasted like it was a weak old. The scallops had no flavor. I had the salad bar and the lettuce must have been about to turn. Cucumbers were pathetic. I tried the cream of mushroom soup which basically was cream, butter, and thickener with no flavor at all. We got our son the chicken tenders with fries, milk, and Oreos. They forgot the milk and Oreos. The chicken tenders basically were chicken parts shredded, and reassembled as a mush that was put in a flavorless breading. Disgusting. I felt bad that he had any of it for dinner. Skip this place and go anywhere else. There are two burger joints, a great Mexican place, and about five pizza places, and a gas station that makes sandwiches all within a half a mile and all of them are soooo much better. Don’t eat here.

It’s the only diner in town and that’s the only reason we kept going back. But no more. I would rather drive to another diner… The food has gotten worse and the dishes are dirty. The service is not friendly It’s not a comfortable atmosphere.

I regulalrly stop there on my way through town on Rt 309, as it’s right off the exit. Reasonable food at a reasonable price. The salad bar always seems fresh. They have a surf and turf burger that I like. Frozen in the center chicken croquets were served the last time I was there. The waitress offered to take them to be reheated, but we chose not to, as we didn’t feel like waiting around longer. When the cashier asked if everything was OK, he was told of the problem, but just said«Sorry about that», and charged full price. Might not go back. So their stupidity probably lost a repeat customer. Sad.

Their breakfast buffet seems to be a real hit. We came here on Father’s Day and the buffet was okay. Their eggs seemed to be runny, and everything seemed to be running out really fast. Though it wasn’t bad. Their salad bar here is also just average. The usual macaroni and potato salad… The usual… Though, I have to compliment on their New England Clam Chowder Soup. It’s really good, thick and has the perfect amount of clams in it.(Though you might want to add a little salt) Their dinner is also good. I ordered their crab cakes and they were good to me. The only complaint was I didn’t like how it seemed to have a little too much cheese in it. Overall, I never was disappointed with their dinner. Their service here is also very friendly and attentive. Though, the decorating skills remind me of my FCS room in school. Really out of date and needs updating, but overall this place will not leave your stomach empty as well satisfied.

We went there for breakfast on a busy Sunday morning and the wait was average not too long. The waitress was very courteous and quick in bringing out our food. The food was ok for a diner. My husband did not like the pancakes said that they were uncooked however my kids loved their eggs and bacon and omelets. A lot of people seem to go for the buffet maybe we will try that next time.

We love this place. The selection is good and it has the most complete salad and soup bar around. They also give seniors a discount and a senior section on their menu. We have always had a pleasant waitress.

Weekend Breakfast Buffet review: Pork. Oink oink oink! I’m sorry, but I love me some bacon. I don’t usually eat it on a regular basis(okay, if I do, it’s turkey bacon), so every once in a while my good friend and I come here to get our Bacon fix. No real major complaints. Don’t expect a giant selection or display — it’s breakfast at a family restaurant, not at an A.C. casino! You can’t beat the price of $ 8.95(small juice included). I was in desperate need of coffee this morning, so I got coffee. Their coffee is really good. I should have asked if it was Ellis. They have pink and yellow packets of sugar substitute, but not the name brands. I like the yellow packet stuff, so all was good with me. Bacon was crunchy, some pieces rubbery, which, oddly enough, I don’t mind here and there. They didn’t have eggs benedict, but they did have a egg, ham & bagel item. Their hash browns are always cooked to a perfectly brown crisp and their sausages are just how I like ‘em to be for breakfast. Their tiny pierogies are usually dry, but today they were deliciously moist. Our waitress took a while to come over to us, so we just went up and helped ourselves at the buffet anyway(they were very crowded, as it seemed as if a family reunion crowd was saying their goodbyes). But once she came over to us, she was very helpful and attentive. She even brought me some pickles. Whenever I’m at diners for brunch(It was noon when we left), I want pickles, as diners/family restaurants have the best pickles! Our waitress was kind enough to bring me some pickles. She kept my coffee filled and our waters cold. My friend and I probably come here twice a year. I think that’s good enough, as I’m sure my arteries need a break after all that bacon.

We stopped in O’Grady’s during their Sunday breakfast buffet. The buffet has an enormous selection of breakfast foods and they rotate some of the items on the buffet. The selection is some of the best you’ll find. The food was of good diner quality. If you’re visiting a diner, you most likely are looking for a decent meal and not a culinary masterpiece. This being the case, O’Grady’s met all my expectations. Our waitress was nice and stopped by several times during our visit. I recommend stopping in for a visit to satisfy a large appetite on a Sunday morning.

I consider myself a city-girl now, but my parents, afraid of loud noises, expensive clothes and sushi, still live in good OLD Souderton, PA. I’m use to hot, delicious, greasy diner food at 5am after a good night out and they’re more of a 11am after-church-breakfast crowd. BUT, when I can make it through church, I’m all for stopping at O’Grady’s for the hot overly-satisfying breakfast buffet or almost always fresh Salad and Soup bar. A few years back, this place was always deserted and not so good.(Chris T should take another trip here. No, it’s not Ponderosa but defintiely not at fault for ruining ‘childhood memories’) Now, they’re fast, mostly friendly and much closer than the nearest Perkins/IHOP. I never mind coming here and apparently, judging by today’s crowd– no one seems to mind!

This is one of the many local diners — I can’t say they’re on the top of my diner list either. The menu is just what you would expect for a diner — meat gravy, potatoes and veggies. It just seams that the quality is not there. With a little more effort, it could be a much better affair. It felt sloppy to me. For example, the ketchup is an off-brand, as are the other condiments. The mashed potatoes are instant. The food is just rather bland, but again, it is a diner. Don’t look for home made specials here. But on the positive side, it is cheap.

OK so, I must say I only ever had breakfast at O’Gradys, its not bad but it’s not great either. Just your basic run of the mill breakfast. I have eaten there maybe three times in the past couple months. One thing I have noticed is they are quick, almost too quick, it left me wondering how it is possible for them to take my order and have my food on the table in 4 mins and 23 seconds(yes my goofy butt timed them this last time). I do have to say I agree with Donna, the clientele is very old, but that’s not always a bad thing cause they know good deals, I mean what else to old people talk about really besides where to get cheap food and cheap gas. The waitress I had was kinda miserable and was sort of talking down to the older people, that was off putting. But I guess if you want quick, decent breakfast, check em out. It is much better that the Souderton alternative of Burger King or McDonald’s. Oh and their 59 cent cup of coffee is pretty good.

Thank you, O’Grady’s, for ruining one of my most dear childhood memories. You see, O’Grady’s now occupies the same building that formerly was home to a Ponderosa Steakhouse. As a child, my grandmother would often take us to Ponderosa for dinner where we’d get our favorite: chicken strips with french fries and the salad bar buffet. We’d start at the salad bar because grandma said we couldn’t have any ice cream unless we ate our salad. In actuality the salad was mostly cheese, diced ham, croutons, and dressing, with some lettuce, broccoli, and alfalfa sprouts thrown in for good measure. Often times we’d also get a delicious bowl of chicken noodle soup and some fresh fruit as well. We’d munch down our awesome chicken strips with barbecue sauce and the french fries doused in ketchup. After finishing our meal, we’d make the trip to the ice cream station for a big cup of soft serve(always the chocolate-vanilla twist) topped with a Niagara Falls of butterscotch syrup, chocolate chips, and fistfuls of rainbow sprinkles. Really, is there anything that symbolizes pure happiness better than rainbow sprinkles? Yes, going to Ponderosa with mom-mom is one of my fondest memories of childhood. And O’Grady’s has tainted – nay, completely vaporized – those memories. The salad bar buffet at O’Grady’s now more closely resembles a compost heap than edible food: wilted lettuce, brown broccoli, slimy cucumber, and soggy croutons. Consuming the soup is reminiscent of swallowing pool water. The«half oven-roasted chicken» was positively anemic in regard to the flavor and peeling the few pieces of dried meat from the carcass was a painstaking and completely unrewarding ordeal. That anorexic chicken was accompanied by stuffing which was probably just some of those soggy croutons from the salad bar. After being informed they were out of both green beans and stewed tomatoes, I received mushy carrots soaked in butter. But most importantly, O’Grady’s doesn’t even have an ice cream station. Our waitress was nice enough and I felt bad for her having to work in such a shit-hole. The boss lady(maybe Mrs. O’Grady?) stood at the front of the restaurant observing her territory and making sure her minions were all busting their butts so she could rake in more cash; a real-life Cruella de Vil if there ever were. There are very few restaurants at which I will refuse to eat. Even if someone else is picking up the tab, never again will I consume food from O’Grady’s.
