The Little People’s Store

For basically being a thrift store just for kids it is really expensive not worth it I can buy new toys for lower or for the price they have. Word to the wise out there SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! It is also very crowded dirty and they have very rude customers and costumer service I will not go back and I will definitely NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone.

Love this place. Pretty good selection of clothes. Not as big a selection of toys compared with Jelli Beanz. I prefer this place because the owner can give me store credit (or give me my stuff back/​let me donate it) while I’m there shopping if I go on trade in days (listed on their website), and staff here is friendlier than the owner of JB. Cute play area for toddlers, too!

Great baby clothes, and plenty of them. and small but nice selection on baby gear. The owner was nice and helpful. Only area for improvement needs to be in the older girls clothes. Sizes 5 and 6 were pretty thin sections.

I would say this place is cute… But most of it is over priced… The clothes are pretty expensive unless they have the $ 1 rack outside. The equipment they have looks really old and very used but its still really expensive… I don’t know I mean I guess its OK. I prefer jelli beanz.

Tanya, the store owner is always kind, patient, and fair. My kids love to play while I shop (which can sometimes be a while.) Over the years, I have found many of my daughter’s favorite clothes here, a lot of really cute dresses! I am usually able to find cute baby clothes on the 1 dollar rack for friends of mine with infants, and other gifts for older kids as well. Tanya always gives me fair trade for the items she takes from what I bring in. She is also very consistent and genuinely very sweet towards my daughters (which is a huge deal for me.) For these reasons I usually come in when Tanya is at the shop doing trade, because I know I will leave happy and stress-​free. In the future I will call in to confirm trade, as there are usually a few weeks out of the year where trade-​in is not available. Over-​all, I find the store easy and fun to shop, and my girls love it too. :)

I decided that we’d stop by after our beach trip. I’m in Silicon Valley. I think The LIttle People’s Store is very cute but pricey in my opinion. I think this reflects the name brands that they carry. They’ve got clothes for different ages, baby gear, toys, shoes, maternity wear, books, and a super cute play area (which is gated). A great variety of labels (if you’re into that). Many of the shoes seemed really expensive given the usage (many were quite worn, at least the older kid shoes, infant shoes seemed to have a lot of choices). Of course, I’m also comparing the prices to the Kidz Shoppe in San Jose and Kid-​to-​Kid in Santa Clara. Toys seemed to be favoring the under 1 crowd (I was looking for stuff for my 2 and 4 yr. old). I purchased a Unilocal deal and realized that I really only saved a few bucks. Not sure that was worth the effort. But I suppose if you live in Soquel, Santa Cruz, Capitola area, this place is worth visiting if you’ve got children.

I love this business model. I take in my children’s clean, outgrown clothes and toys and Tanya offers me store credit for the items she can re-​sell. I especially appreciate that the trade process is fast, while-​you-​shop. Tanya is friendly and keeps a clean store well-​stocked with gently-​used clothes, shoes, books, toys and equipment for babies through pre-​teen. Call ahead to confirm trade hours.

Great little find! I found the cutest outfits for my baby, and my son loved playing there as I shopped. Good deals, great selection, clean and friendly staff. Looking forward to trying out the consignment as well. I also got a deal $ 10 for $ 20 on Unilocal.Can’t wait to go back and spend more time.

This is, by far, my favorite used children’s store in the area. The prices are reasonable, its clean– and my 4 yr old son actually LIKES shopping there with me.
Tanya, the owner, is friendly and very fair when it comes to trade.

I visit this store from time to time, and have traded in the past. The selection and customer service are okay. It’s not the friendliest place, but I’ll sometimes stop in to look for shoes and clothes for my kids.

Great store, I stop in often to check out what they have and always walk out with something for my little one. Going to try selling stuff here soon. Great customer service and selection.

The store in Soquel has really been cleaned up and rearranged. So nice!
The store in Scotts Valley is a different owner and is smaller. Soquel store has a large selection and great sales.
Lots of new things as well. I love it!

This place has cool vintage stuff, but don’t put put anything on consignment! They sold my stuff and never told me and won’t pay me for it! They said we «try» and send emails letting customers know their things were sold. Very unethical place-​stay away.

I love this store! I’m very confident in bringing my stuff to trade or consign. Tanya is VERY fair with the prices she gives to me. I feel ripped off when I go to other places, but with her I’m always happy. She has a great selection and knows what to put in her store. The quality of the inventory has gone WAY up since she took over the store! I drive all the way from Watsonville just to do business with her.
