Best burger in town! I wish I could leave six stars. There is a character named Kimbra that makes fish tacos and burgers on the weekends. He is worth going for alone but his food is out of this world. He makes his own pesto mayo and his burgers are so juicy and flavorful. I’ve never had a bad experience. You can grab some fish or prawns or even lamb chops from the market and Kim will grill it up for you with a smile. There’s even a fancy beer place next door if you want to pick up something unusual to wash it down with. Just writing this review is making me hungry. Go there.

I have one bar with which I rate stores like these – if I ask a question, do I get a direct and correct answer. I went in asking if they had any salmon jerky. I then asked the owner, not just a sales associate, if it was wild-caught salmon– My exact question was«Is it made with farmed salmon?» She said, «No, it’s ocean raised.» I asked, «Is it farmed in the ocean?» She replied, «It’s raised organically in the ocean off of British Columbia.» I asked again, «Is it farmed off the coast of British Columbia?» She stammered a little bit and said, «well, it’s farmed organically(which is not true) in the ocean.» When given three clear opportunities to tell the truth, the owner decided to be deceptive. If she had said«It’s farmed» the first time I would have simply said«ok thanks anyways» and never written a review. She has the right to sell farmed fish, just like I have the right to not buy what I disagree with. The fact that she told me something different the first three times I asked is what is super lame. Will not shop here again. Plus they are more expensive for the same quality you buy at a grocer.

It’s more than just a fish store. Other meat and pre marinated meat options. There’s wine and crackers and cheese. You can have a whole meal there with music. It’s next to a nice produce stand so can complete the meal. There’s a guy who cooks your meats right up there too for a price but he doesn’t get started till afternoon. Service is slow especially if you get oysters shucked. It’s extremely over priced. Parking is a pain around feeding times. The messy office space out in the open next to the kitchen is a real turn off. I’ve only been here twice so these are my first impressions. It’s a neat set up overall.

Fantastic fish tacos! My new obsession. And staff was awesome. Yes, it took a while for our order to come out, but the wait staff gave us a delicious freebie as an apology. It’s a Santa Cruz type place, so customers should expect a laid back, casual style of service. For me, that’s part of the appeal: seriously good cuisine at a place where shorts and t-shirts are welcome.

The customer service and meat is so above par!!! I recently decided I am not going to buy meat at most local chain grocery stores. I decided if I’m going to eat meat it needs to be from happy animals that are fed well and not pumped full of antibiotics and hormones etc. of course it’s a little more expensive, but my body and my families body is worth it. You must try the chicken mozzarella sausages!!!

I thought I was coming to a fish counter and was very pleasantly surprised. Not only do they sell meat, chicken and fish, but they have a kitchen where they prepare daily specials. If that’s not enough, they’ll prepare ANYTHING you buy! I’m not kidding — they’ll fry the crab cakes, shuck your oysters, grill your rack of lamb or prepare your burger. It’s crazy — and good! It not gourmet, but it isn’t supposed to be. But I will say that they have some of the best clam chowder I’ve ever had. Brothy and full of clams… so good! And if you’re drinking at Beer 30 next door and order food, they’ll bring it to you. You seriously can’t ask for more.

Great slabs of fish available for sale but customer service was beyond subpar. We ordered over $ 100 worth of food and received an extra large side of attitude from the girl behind the counter and the guy bbqing. If we hadn’t already paid we would have left. Only saving grace was the crab cake.

Fish tacos here were the perfect mix of sweet and spicy and heavy on the fish. So good

The fish tacos here are absolutely to die for. No idea what all was in them but they were so amazing and so close to the amazing Beer Thirty. That being said the man cooking the tacos on the outside of the shop was very rude when we handed him our order slip. Told us it would be about 20 minutes. Okay fine no big deal. 25⁄30 minutes later we went up to ask how much longer and he was very rude in his response saying how he was so busy and had to grill more fish. He brought us our tacos in stages so the four of us didn’t get to eat together and made comments every time he came over to say it’s worth the wait and he’s amazing. Well he was right, the food was totally worth the wait but we would have appreciated better service. Would go back for the food alone.

I’ve been here before and ordered a burger outside on the weekend and had a great experience. Today was a new grumpy old man. Guy in front asked if he had fish tacos and he was pretty rude in his reply. I went to order and he said nope you pay inside, and you’re way behind I have six fish tacos ahead of you your way behind, go pay inside and you’re gunna wait more than 20 minutes! Not very professional.

This place is amazing and wonderful. It is a meat counter with fresh crab, seafoods, and marinated meats! There is a guy BBQing outside so for a small fee he will hook you up with some great food. IT’s off of the beaten path but worth the drive to side on the patio to have a great meal at the right price!

Love their crab in season. Love their marinated chicken halves. Love the service. I don’t go when it’s crowded. I have been to their Friday night festivities and had a nice time; a bit pricey but music and crowd is laid back, fun and friendly. This is a great place for locals who want to avoid 41st nightmare of tourists on weekends. Stop by the vegetable/fruit stand next door. Grab your salad, potatoes, bread, then go to the Fish Lady for your proteins.

The crab artichoke dip was amazing. Great fresh selection and you can take your food next door to Beer30 to enjoy great people and dog watching.

Fresh blue point oysters. I BBQ oysters a lot. But this place has the most fresh oysters ever. They opened up fairly fast from the heat of the BBQ. They taste great and everyone in our party loved it. People that never had oysters in their life fell in live with these oysters. I highly recommend this place for oysters.

I go here for the skirt steak and free range marinated chicken. If you have not tried those two items, then you should. I haven’t purchased a lot of fish from here so cannot comment. I do agree that sometimes the staff seem uninterested in you as a customer. I give 4 stars for the chicken and steaks at the Fish Lady!

I’m sorry to say, but this is one of the worst«fresh fish» markets on this planet. The fish is extremely expensive and the quality of the fish is sub par. We’ve given this place a couple of tries but still the same experience. I have no idea how this place can stay in business.

The best poke I have ever had outside of Hawaii. Made on the spot with super fresh ahi and perfect flavors, and just the right amount of spicy kick. Would come back again just for that. Perfect complement to Beer Thirty next door(which they hand-deliver to, a nice touch.)

I love the option to get fresh fish. Thank you FISHLADY! If I wanted old fish that came in whenever — I would go to a grocery store. But fresh is best! How to tell if its fresh? Few things — if the eyes are cloudy — thats old. If the eyes are clear — thats a fresher fish. Plus if the scales are straight falling off — older — if you have to scrape them — thats a fresher fish. Fish lady is worth the time, effort and extra bucks. Food poisoning sucks. Thanks Fish lady!

I had their white chowder once a few months back and it was really good. I have now been back twice trying to pick some up and they have been out. When I asked why they said they have not been making it because it is too hot? Most of their fish is severely overpriced and double what you pay at the supermarket. Chowder is something hard to get this side of town and they should not ignore that market. Won’t be returning since the chowder is the only reason I frequent this place. I previously bought crab legs here as well and they were not only precracked(which takes away half the fun) and they were frozen not fresh. Also the most money I have ever paid for crab.

The Fish Lady is a unique butcher shop that’s been around for ages. They have fresh fish, shellfish, and meats of the highest quality as well as an awesome wine and beer selection. What I really like is their smoked salmon jerky and the beef jerky that are both smoked in house. They also cater to dogs so you can get smoked beef femurs full of tasty marrow, they keep my dog Toot’s happy and occupied for hours! I always stop by when I’m in the area to get Toot’s a bone and if I cooked more often I would surely shop here for myself as well
