I was in a car accident recently. I looked up massage therapists and saw reviews for Shannon. I am so glad I went to her. She used enough pressure that I felt like she was working on my painful areas but not so much pressure that it hurt.
She is extremely knowledgable about the anatomy of the body. I just wish I would have known about her when I was in treatment for breast cancer.

I went to Shannon for a prenatal massage after experiencing some severe headaches. She seemed very knowledgeable and professional in her approach and did a thorough review of my health history and problems. I felt like she focused on the areas that needed relief and really helped loosen me up. Those 90 minutes were so peaceful that I almost fell asleep a few times! I hope to return for more massages in the future, money well spent!

I have been a client of Shannon’s for over two years. She take the time to really listen to what I am saying about what is going on with my body and then uses her intuition to pinpoint and relieve stress and tension. I work in the helping field therefore, self-​care is of the highest importance. I see Shannon once a week for a 90 minute massage. Shannon combines many different types of massage techniques and therapies to fit my needs. Shannon’s home studio; peaceful, healing and tranquil, with beautiful meditative music in the background, paradise. In addition, Shannon make me a special mixture of massage oil that I wear help prevent hot flashes! My 90 minutes with Shannon is the highlight of my week! She is worth every penny! Magical!

I’ve had many massages over the years, but the last few times I wasn’t having much luck so I looked to Unilocal.And I am soooo glad I did! Shannon is amazing! This is one of the best massages I have ever had!
I booked a 90 minute massage so I could relax before an upcoming medical procedure. And I had just gotten over pulling out my back a couple of weeks before.
Shannon was very thorough and managed to hit every spot and every ache. She is very in tune with what is going on with her clients and also included some stretching of my arms and legs. Not to mention a sugar scrub on my feet! Now that was an added bonus! It was 90 minutes of heaven. I can’t wait to schedule another appointment.

I’ve been to many different masseuses in the Santa Cruz area and Shannon is my favorite by far. I love the privacy that her home studio provides. It’s quiet, serene and relaxing. She is an absolute pro who listens to your needs and balances them with what your body tells her. She also gives very helpful advice on preparing for labor and leveraging the different resources she provides with those also available in the community. Worth. Every. Penny.

Shannon is an expert. She is not only knowledgeable about muscle groups and integrative body work, but also intuitive and compassionate, and this comes through in her massage. Her studio is a refuge, and the whole experience is like a mini-​vacation. In addition to being a thorough professional, Shannon also provides perfect pampering touches: warm booties, aromatherapy, and she just added a salt scrub for the feet. Oh my.

I’ve been a faithful client of Shannon’s since 2005. I try and see her twice a month. She is AMAZING!!! I know many people see massage as an indulgence, but I’ve come to realize that my hours with Shannon are MANDATORY MAINTENANCE!!! If you enjoy deep tissue massage, she’s the girl for you. She’s also been a GODSEND during my pregnancy. In this economy, we’re all trying to save money. However, massages with Shannon are WORTH EVERY PENNY! You won’t be disappointed =) She is the best EVER, EVER, EVER!!!
