Porter Rents

In one word: awful. Their office is full of storage and miscellaneous paper work. This should have been a bad sign to me when I ordered tables and chairs for our wedding. But we did. They never called to confirm or bill us. Finally had to call THEM, they had lost our order and we had to do it all over again. The delivery was late. Which caused stress. Then when they came to pick it all back up, there was only one guy, and he was not interested or prepared to load it in the truck. My father, who has physical health issues had to do most of it himself. This makes no sense to me. Shouldn’t part of the service paid for include loading and unloading? They were highly disappointing.

Joe at Porter Rentals is the best. I was going to use Porter for my wedding, and he made me feel comfortable right from the start. He has been in the wedding business for many years, and had a bunch of really great advice from his experiences. I needed a cater, and he had several suggestions with a working understanding of his area. He is totally willing to work with you, and understands that not every bride has a huge budget to work with– he even offered me a discount for starting the contract early.
Alas, my venue was not as wonderful as Porter rentals, and I had to cancel my mountain wedding. Joe was nothing but a gentleman, and didn’t hesitate to refund my deposit.
I can assure anyone thinking of using this company that they are lovely to work with. I visited their showroom, and their stuff seems really nice, and affordable. I am sorry that my event didn’t end up working out, and will keep Porter Rentals in mind for any event I hold in the Sonora Area.

The only place to rent party supplies for weddings and what not. We’ve been dealing with Porter Rents over the phone up to this point because they are close to our wedding venue but not close to us. It did take quite some time to get an invoice over to us (six phone calls later) and a copy of the leasing terms and conditions but whatever.
Will be using our rental items on Aug 6^th — they deliver them on the 4^th and pick up on the 8^th. Will update with the quality of their items at that point (some time after the honeymoon)!
