Melissa Marie Hair

It’s taken me way too long to write this, but I am finally here to say how much I loved working with Melissa! She did my hair and makeup for my wedding in February and it was so gorgeous. I had a trial appointment with her first so we can talk about what I was looking for, and I was thrilled with her incredible ability to take my chaotic bride ideas and turn them into exactly what I was looking for! On my wedding day, she was an absolutely gem as well. Melissa arrived early, was totally prepared, and was the perfect balance between being an awesome girl to have in the room and low-​maintenence enough to not cause us any distractions or stress. She is the best!

AMAZING MAKEUP AND HAIR! Loved working with Melissa for my Valentine’s Day 2015 wedding. I got endless compliments on my makeup and hair. It was exactly like I wanted it to be, and she was professional, timely, fun, and just a joy to work with. Working with her from start to finish was a breeze.
If you are getting married in the Northern California area, I HIGHLY recommend Melissa. She used airbrush make-​up on my mother and me, and both of us loved her work. It lasted long and I felt beautiful the entire time. My hair was exactly how I imagined it would be and she spent extra time making sure I loved every part of it, and that it stayed in place. (which it too lasted a long time, and I danced my a** off!)
For my bridesmaids, she had an assistant join to do their hair, and she was equally great!
So thankful I was able to find her and book her!

If you’re getting married in Northern California (especially near the Tuolumne/​Calaveras County area), then just take my advice and book Melissa for your big day!
Melissa is a true professional and takes pride in her work. I actually booked another vendor based off five star reviews on a wedding review website. I’m so thankful I did a trial! Not only was it not my style, but would have been very disappointed if my hair and makeup looked anything like my trial. Luckily I was able to find Melissa who just moved back to the area. She took what I was told «would never work with your hair length» and made me look gorgeous.

This salon is amaaazing! Melissa was incredibly nice and did a great job. It was a super neat & tidy place decorated for Christmas, which made it even prettier. I am very happy with how Melissa colored and styled my hair. I wasn’t sure if I wanted ombré or highlights, so she helped me decide. She found a color that looked natural on me and she blended it perfectly. SUPER nice place and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone. :)

When we decided to get married in Big Sur I knew it would be a challenge finding every vendor we needed. However, I found Melissa after digging through wedding blogs and seeing her work on other brides in the general area. I was attracted to the seemingly effortless style that each of those brides had (although a lot of work goes into those effortless styles).
Luckily for me she was available and able to travel down to the Big Sur area for our big day.
I went up for a test a few months before the wedding with her and Sarah (make-​up). I couldn’t have been more delighted with the outcome. I wanted a low bun– with wisps look. I also had succulents that I wanted put in the side of my hair.
Not only did I look and feel amazing, I also hired her and Sarah to do my bridal party’s hair — which was no easy feat. From braids to super long hair to super short hair — they had to make it work for all of them. We all received so many compliments from our family and friends.
Everyone looked so beautiful and I would highly recommend Melissa and her team to anyone.

Melissa is AMAZING! I showed her 3 pictures of different hairstyles that I liked and she magically incorporated them together in to one perfect hairstyle for my wedding pictures. To top it off she is so easy to talk to and I had a lot of fun chatting with her while she did my make up and hair. I don’t wear much makeup so I was nervous about having my makeup done, she made me look beautiful and natural… I felt like I was walking out of a fairytale. My hair looked natural and rustic, but it even held up in blustering winds for the pictures. Thanks, Melissa!

Melissa is an amazing, professional stylist! She has been doing my hair for 10+ years and never have I been disappointed! She knows every style and delivers what you want perfectly. I have THICK, CURLY hair and she knows exactly what to do with it everytime I see her. She recently just did my hair for my wedding and I could not have been more happier with the results. We all know that what you look like on your big day is the most important thing and I knew I would be in great hands with Melissa. Melissa did my hair and my mom’s hair for my wedding recently and we couldn’t have been happier. We both have thick hair that some stylists have remarked is hard to work with, but Melissa managed it effortlessly. She gave me a beautiful bridal updo, and my mom loose curls (a deceptively simple look that is actually hard to achieve). We were both so happy! Both styles looked natural but stayed all night.
She even surprised us by offering to curl the flower girl’s hair, which made her feel so special :)
