They allow people to conduct business loudly on their cellphones in this library. Not only are the librarians not bothered by it, they are often the loudest people in the room. The other day, while trying to write a paper as this is, you know, a library, I couldn’t work because of the head librarian talking at full volume to a woman about her housing search. I have been to libraries in Spain, in Puerto Rico – in other LOUD countries. Even there, they respect the code of silence of the library. The term«library voices» does not apply to this library.

Found the staff to be obnoxious. Went to the book sale recently and was told it was only for Friends of the Library and if you wanted to look, it would cost you $ 15. Otherwise you have to come back in an hour when it is open to the public. No, I am not coming back when already there. Count me as not a Friend of the Library.

I love this place! I grew up here and shelving books with my dad as a kid is a fond memory. The librarians are nice, always greeting people by name. It’s small but the renovations have really brightened it up and brought some life back into it.

Awesome upgrades! You can self checkout, RFID books, Way cool! OK, I’m old school I guess, last time I was in a library we used the Dewey Decimal System. OK, maybe MicroFiche or even a Tandy 1000??? The new age library is very cool, my son needed some new books so we went and was treated to the ease of checkout, drop the books on the desk, slide your card, your done. Very Cool

Not the biggest library, but they had wireless internet before big gun libraries around the bay area. Fun staff. Small, but very interesting selection of books. Children’s books area takes up nearly half of the space. Nothing beats the library’s interaction with the community. Great for research, especially wine and international studies.
