Potter Green&Co has quite the variety, from Fair Trade handicrafts to gardening books, enormous wind chimes, and various vinegars&oils. The owner is a friendly hippie kind of guy, with a resident dog wandering the place. He’s cheerful&unpretentious, even if the merchandise is pricey. Potter Green fits right in with Cornerstone Gardens.

This is an absolutely delightful little home and garden shop in Cornerstone Sonoma’s retail area. They’ve got quite a bit of nature inspired original art that is on the pricier side but also quite a number of affordable items such as local honey, candles, soap and small pottery. The highlight of this shop, for me, are the small glass chips you can buy by the pound. They make wonderful decorative pieces for garden borders, pots and clear bowls. They sell it for $ 3.00 a pound and come in an array of sapphire blue, yellow, green and some lovely red chips. I ended up buying about 4 pounds of it and can’t wait to find some creative way to use it in my garden displays. I meant to buy some honey but got so excited about the glass that I forgot to grab some before I left(: Super friendly owner(or staff, although she seemed to have obvious pride in the shop, so pegged her as the owner.) Great little stop and worth a look if you’re in the area!

This is my favorite place in the North Bay area for all sorts of wonderful things for the home and garden. The guy who works at the store is not actually the Manager and, contrary to what Denise writes, I’ve never heard him be rude or unpleasant. The owner, Nina, is a wonderful woman and incredibly creative + very helpful and friendly. And, she is there most days.

I was at Potter Green recently and found Tom to be very congenial and helpful, and not at all strange or inappropriate in any way.(I’m an attractive single blonde.) I think he’s extremely creative and interesting. Love that store! Beautiful one-of-a-kind artistic items and the chimes are fabulous!

What a fantastic store! It has great pots and other miscellaneous supplies. The oversized wind chimes beg for you to touch them and their outdoor displays are truly magnificent. Part of John Greenlee’s collection… grasses use a fraction of water that traditional turf lawns use. A great addition to Cornerstone Sonoma and a must stop in Sonoma.
