If you have a classic car and need it tinkered with, call Robert Blade. He’ll come out to you and fix what needs to be done. As an added bonus, if you want to learn what the issues are, he’s also a great teacher. I have a 1955 Packard and have called Robert out twice to help me diagnose fuel and electrical issues. His fees are very straight-​forward and his service is excellent. Highly recommended.

Steve Gordon at Vintage Auto Service has been doing concours level restoration and mechanic service for about 20 years. He specializes in Jaguar 2-​seaters (e-​type, 120, 140, 150) but works on other british autos as well. He is a JCNA judge and knows Jaguars inside and out.
His work is meticulous, exacting, and as close to perfect as it is humanly possible to produce. And he’s generous and personable and his prices are reasonable.
The only thing wrong with him is that he’s always busy! :-(
