My fiancé and I get lunch here every couple of months, and every time that we do we wonder why we don’t go more often. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful. I always get a chicken sandwich with BBQ sauce, American cheese, and lettuce, skinnied so that I have less bread. Hubby gets a turkey sandwich wrapped in lettuce instead of the bread, and he loves it. I’ve had the milkshakes and they rock. Overall, we always leave more than satisfied. We just found out today that they even deliver! Definitely recommend

I have been a fan of this place since they opened at Assembly Row. Over time it appears that the quality and service has diminished. I went to get a sandwich last night around 7PM(2⁄1). The place was not busy but the help seemed more interested in cleaning the place(they close at 8PM) then completing my sandwich. She was cleaning with this big old rag and throwing stuff on the floor. While waiting for her to complete my sandwich I did not see her change her gloves or even where she put that old rag as she placed my sandwich on the counter she has just cleaned with that rag. No sanitary standards appear to apply so I will be taking my business elsewhere. I really enjoy the sandwiches but remember Chipotle.

So I went there for lunch. I wanted the buffalo chicken in a tortilla wrap. I figured this wouldn’t be a problem since their special is in a tortilla wrap. Well apparently even though they have the tortilla wraps they are only for the special and will not use it for anything else. Can you say ridiculous.

I went there today to get lunch. Its my usual go-to in assembly when I don’t have time for a sit down and don’t want anything too heavy. I always get the lettucewhich and usually leave pretty content. Today I opened my lettucewhich and there was dirt all over the lettuce. I bring it over to the woman who made it to show her, and she says ‘did you not order a lettucewhich?” I did… but did I need to specify sans dirt? She said she’ll make a new one after a few solid eye rolls, but asked me to give her back the other one. I was like sure but I’d really prefer you didn’t try to re-use the dirt contaminated meat? Another few solid eye rolls and she went to grab her manager. At this point I’m hangry and annoyed and just want my refund. The manager is nice and explained that she probably just used the outside layers that are typically dirty. 1) how do you make someone a sandwhich when you see clear dirt on it? 2)if they aren’t washing their lettuce how sanitary is the rest of their food? 3) stick to ordering bread if you go here

I had high hopes. SUBWAY was better. I spent $ 16 on a less than 12″ sub, bag of chips and bottle of soda. WTF! $ 16? SHIT, that sucks. I spend less at places like Texas Roadhouse and get a steak dinner, two sides, bread and peanuts.

Your in the Assembly Row area, and want a sandwich, this is the place to go. I wouldn’t say all their meats are quality, but I usually get a ham with all sorts of items(which, there strength is the variety of items you can put in the sandwich). The ham and bacon are pretty good, can’t speak for the other meats. Sure takes an unusually long time getting a COLD sandwich though. Approx. 10 minutes wait.

Getting a breakfast sandwich here was painful. Outside if their very confusing system for ordering I waited over 15 minutes for my sandwich to get made with two other customers there and 5, yes 5! People making the sandwiches. I shudder to think what it would be like during a busy time!

This is the only Which Wich I’ve been to, and MAN it’s incredible. Food: The avocado is always green, the lettuce is always crispy, and the bread is so fricken amazing — it’s a teeny bit crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside so you can really squish down your sandwich to make it fit in your mouth. Delicious. Service: Friendly staff members who greet you at the door, answer questions knowledgeably, and show that they really do care about customers. It might just be a sandwich chain, but the staff really make you feel like more than a number. I just joined the rewards program and I’m so excited! If you’re shopping in Assembly Row or you’re just nearby, I highly recommend taking the time to stop at Which Wich. It will never disappoint you!

This place is the Taco Bell of sandwich shops… literally my first thought when I bit into my Cuban sandwich was that this reminds me of a Taco Bell taco. Not really a good thing since I would rather have had Taco Bell than this sandwich. My work catered with this place for appreciation week and I just finished my sandwich so my thoughts are fresher than the stale bread my sandwich was on. If you are looking for a large sandwich, this is not the place. If you are looking for a tasty sandwich you may find something here. Overall you are paying a lot for a little and you are not getting the quality that you are paying for. Perfect example, I did not have this sandwich, the chicken parmigiana, but a co-worker of mine did and she was horrified and after I saw what the fuss about I WASHORRIFIED. The chicken parm consisted of SLICEDDELICHICKEN, a smattering of tomato sauce with LETTUCEANDTOMATO!!! WTF!!! this was not a chicken parm this was an ABOMINATION! Anyways, I’m glad I got to try this place for free and I never plan on going here of my own volition. On a side note, we had Pot Belly Sandwiches last year and they were far superior in all respects, quantity, quality, bread, etc.

This place is not good unless you like your steak and cheese, rubbery. Pros: Kind of cool to pick your paper bag and be able to see all your options. Cons: Pretty much everything else. Service was slow eventually the manager took my paper bag that I had already filled out and he punched in my order. My sandwich was awful, it tasted like Arby’s rubbery roast beer. I ordered a steak and cheese I noticed there was no grill so they must have put the meat on a bun that ran through the convection belt oven. My wife had a turkey sandwich that was not awful but not good it was similar to a subway sandwich.

ULTIMATEBLT. Get it. Munch on it, and then thank me later. I thought it would be too much bacon(!!!), and at first I decided not to get it. Then I changed my mind. It’s 8 slices of bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and a chipotle mayo between two yummy slices of toasted sourdough. Oh this was delicious. Crunchy, tasty and a perfect bite on a lovely afternoon. Process is kinda cool. You walk up to the wall of sandwich bags, choose one, and then customize it as you see fit with the red sharpie markers, and then hand it to the lady at the register. Then it’s made while you wait! Cool idea.

I’m so thankful they opened this glorious establishment in Assembly Square. It’s nice to have a fast food place that offers fresh ingredients and healthy options. In LA there are many options for fresh and healthy(ish) fast food, in Boston… Not so much. The ingredients are fresh, both hot and cold sandwiches are made to perfection. They have very unique ingredients that other fast food sando places don’t have, and they let you order in a cool way by filling out your own order ticket that doubles as a bag for your sando. They also have delicious salads. My wife and I relocated to Boston from LA and we were very happy to find which wich had made its way back east as well.

First of all, I want to give a shoutout to Skyy, a real nice dude who works here. He saw me standing there confused, so he explained the process and suggested some great sandwiches. I’ve been back three times since. They have some great creations. Green Eggs and Ham is DELICIOUS! I have a huge appetite, and I can barely finish their medium length sub sandwiches. Get the candied walnuts. They give them in a nice little plastic container, and they are delicious little side dishes. I recommend their philly cheesesteak, pesto chicken, and breakfast sandwiches. The eggs in the«Green Eggs and Ham» are incredibly fluffy and soft, and line the inside part of the bread. MUSTTRY! Last time, I got their icecream sandwich and it was a thick chunk of icecream inside of two amazing chocolate chip cookies. Highly recommended.

Good concept and sandwiches are good. The problem when I was here is the speed. It takes around 10 minutes sometimes longer to get a sandwich. It was quite the wait. And the staff wasn’t great. The cashier Fatina was great and friendly but the other woman named Adrianna who would call the people’s names to get their sandwich was rude. Every time she’d call a name she would have a nasty glare and just could visually tell she hated working here. If a customer wouldnt go up the 1st time she called their name she would scream their name very rudely until they came. People are with kids in here, forgive them if they cant jump tp you and grab the brown paper bag that you’re holding the second you call thei name. I’m assuming the manager wasn’t there because I doubt it’d happen if he/she was. Even the other customers in the place we’re talking about how rude she was.

Cool concept. You write what you want on a paper bag. Hand it to an employee. Pay. Wait for your bag to be filled. This place needs to get up to speed. For a sandwich place, 10 mins is too long(imo) to get my turkey sandwich. I’m writing this as I wait for my friend to get her sandwich. Going on 24 mins for a cold sub. My guess is that if I return in a few months, it will be a much better experience.

I have been to this shop once and I kept coming back. The idea is you get to write down your order on a specific brown bag(which meat do you want, cheese, size, vegetables, sauce, hot or cold etc.) and then you write your name on it and wait for your name to be called. It can get busy on the weekends around lunch time but I love getting a buffalo chicken sub with blue cheese, buff sauce and caramelized onions. If you want a regular sized sandwich, order the small. For a large, order the medium and the large size is super huge! They also have salad options and«lettucewiches» which means no bread if you are cutting carbs or are gluten intolerant. It is pretty kid friendly, but also a little cramped vs a subway which usually has plenty of tables to take. However, there is outdoor seating so in the good weather you can people watch.

I’d heard about this place and was so excited to hear it came to the area! It’s a little unclear at first but once you see the board with the bags it makes sense. Find the category for the sandwich you want and simply fill out a brown bag with everything you want and your name. It’s fool proof and assures you that you’ll get exactly what you want. The best part for me was that they’re super accommodating for low carb eaters. Most places it’s a huge hassle and uncomfortable sometimes to order sans bread or ask for lettuce instead. People look at you like you have ten heads. They actually build lettuce wraps into the menu as an option instead of bread, and every sandwich can be made into a Lettuce Wich! The only downside is the size and limited tables, but I’ll definitely come back whenever I’m in the area. The staff was friendly, they were keeping a constant eye on the tables and cleaning and picking up, which was so appreciated.

It is different from Quiznos & subway how they set up, how to put the sandwich together. You pick up a bag that wraps a sub, behind it there’s options to choose from like what meat, what kind of cheese, what type of bread & do you like it toasted? You mark it down the way you like it on the back & they will make it for you! Interesting, less headaches for the employees! lol

Slightly confusing, quite delightful. My virgin experience at Which Wich saw me getting a roast beef, onion, mushroom, and avocado sandwich, along with an Oreo shake. I can’t tell you the last time I got a healthy(ish) meal for under $ 9, but I was not disappointed. I just wish they had more seating — my group of four had to sit at two small tables. Pro tip: for a cheap treat, split a shake with a friend and they’ll divide it into two cups. $ 3 total for two happy diners!

This place just opened, so it’s totally clean and the staff is all bright eyed and happy to help explain their unique way of doing things. I hope they keep this up! It’s a fun little place where you have a wall with the menu above and about 10 types of sub/sandwich bags lined up on the counter below. Each bag corresponds to a type of sandwich, so you pick your bag out and use the provided marker to check of what you want in the sub. I got the philly cheesesteak which was totally delicious, just a bit small is my only lament.
