I have been purchasing model railroad items from Jan at the Big Little Railroad Shop for over 12 years. I have found Jan to be knowledgeable, helpful and willing to find items I want, but she does not have. I can always find or get what I need. I would recommend the shop for anyone who just wants a train set for their kids or as in my case grand kids (7); to the train enthusiast as I am. I have 9 integrated layouts from western to harry potter to amusement park and others. I would recommend a visit if you are looking to purchase anything you need for trains, scenery, paints, or other model building supplies.
Visit the shop. You will like it and Jan.

Great place! Jan is super-​knowledgeable and friendly. Many specialty items (books, paint, detail parts), and always has the newest local-​interest models. Everything for the «pro”/obsessed modeler and the beginner. Get your Christmas train-​set here! If they don’t have something in stock, she can get it quickly.
BTW, they carry not just model railroad stuff: great selection of plastic models (planes, cars, armor), radio control and other stuff.
If you can walk out of here without finding something to buy, you have way more will power than I do!

I don’t know, maybe this place deserves five stars. I am not a model railroader; not since I was maybe 8 or 9 yo. But this place is great for the hobbyists. It looks to have everything. I need to tell my nephew who is really into this type of thing.
