The owner is such a nice person. He greets you when you enter the store and even remember a lot of customers’ names. One thing I have to say is that they definitely has the largest selection of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and it’s amazing! Better than the super small Stop&Shop and the Shaw here in Somerville. Though they are a little bit pricey, $ 5/pint. But I always come here for a quicky B&J run if I’m looking for certain flavors that I can’t find in the supermarket.

Teele Square Market is good for a laugh or two every time I visit. Since I live right across the street I find myself here a couple times a week to pick up odds and ends and ice cream. This place more closely resembles a bodega with attributes of randomness rather than a typical convenient store. Let’s discuss. Stop by if you… …need access to nearly EVERY Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor currently in circulation. …need to pick up a do-rag but want variety. …want to buy only one Trojan Magnum condom from a Tupperware. …want bulk Indian spices. …like paying a bit of a premium for convenience. It seems like the shop is run by a family and they are always super nice and seem to remember their regulars. There are a couple other markets like this in Teele Square, and this one is my favorite(but mostly because it is the closest to my apartment).

They are super convenient, so I keep coming back here. Not to mention the store managers are pretty friendly. Of course, the prices are higher than you’d find at most places, and the incense in the air is a bit overwhelming, but if you can get my girlfriend Ben and Jerry’s at 11pm on the walk home from my favorite tibetan restaurant you’ll always have 3 stars in my heart.

Hands down the nicest convenience store owners I have ever encountered. They always greet you with a smile and are extremely polite. They might not carry everything you need but let them know if you are looking for something in particular and they will be sure to get it in.

This place is awesome! They have way more selection than most markets. The guys are so nice. The prices are great compared to other convenience stores. They have multiple brands of many products so you actually have a choice. They have cleaning supplies, food, toiletries, beverages, and a ton more!

Pro: Wide selection of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for the midnight decadent. Con: Mediocre to minimalist at best selection of Ben & Jerry’s fro yo for the calorie conscious. Pro: Delightfully nostalgic smell upon arrival of some sort of artificial fruity scent that was scratch n’ sniff embossed on the rump of my old My Little Pony. Con: $ 2 for small milks that went bad within the week. Pro: Various Indian spices and rices. Frozen pizzas. Doo-rags. Miscellaneous crap of all colors and sizes. Con: Tufts students. Pro: Warm and welcoming Indian grandparents engaging you in warm and welcoming conversation as they ring up your… Con: …doms.

Maggots are charging $ 2 per gallon of spring water, during water boiling necessity. Gouging is illegal! If I could give them minus star I would.

This is a funny little place. I love going in, though of course the prices are a lot higher than a grocery store. Still… it really is convenient, and it’s open ’til midnight. The owners are very friendly and talkative. They have a great selection of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, and the most eclectic mix of other stuff that I’ve ever seen in a market. Have a desperate need for do-rags and ping pong balls? This is your place. :)

Teele Square Market is on the corner of Holland and Broadway next to PJ Ryan’s. It’s a typical convenience store except that it carries a few Indian groceries. It has a few dry spices along with quick prep boxes like chana dal, saag paneer, etc. They also have basmati rice. Not bad for a corner store, but don’t look for anything more than the very basic spices. The owners are very friendly and have something nice to say whenever I walk in.
