this place would be great if they didn’t charge you a $ 15 cover, or even if they didn’t have a TIPBASKET after secretly including gratuity in the bar prices as well.

I don’t know a whole lot about this place, but my experiences have been good. From what I can tell, the space is used primarily for performance art. Warning, no cell service. If you head downstairs toward Saloon, turn left instead of right, and walk down a nondescript hallway until you find what you’re looking for. I’ve been a couple times, once for a play and once for a concert. Great news: they take credit cards at the snack bar, and they sell tall boys of Narragansett. Less great news: they don’t take credit cards at the ticket table, so bring cash. If you’re coming by for a concert, also consider bringing ear plugs, because it gets really loud in this little space. The space is perfectly situated for revelry, sandwiched right in the midst of Davis Square. You can drink there, and then get some post-show nosh at Mike’s. Or anywhere, really. The world is your oyster, man.
