Sophie’s Tea Room & Cafe

The menu was fairly simple but the food was delicious. The service was also good.

Sophie’s Tea Room was a disappointment to say the least. I was so excited to try this cute little restaurant, however a few things were a miss. They only received 2 stars because the building was cute and clean.
Service — Honestly I have not experienced such horrible service in a while. While the salad was good it was extremely over priced @ $ 9 w/​no meat, only some bacon pieces.
11:48 — I entered the restaurant. No signs anywhere directing you to sit or wait so I had to ask one of the diners.
11:50 — Was acknowledged. An individual was waiting for a take out order from before I walked in. He was finally acknowledged at 11:55.
11:56 — A gentleman in contractor clothes (paint all over them) grabbed a tray and started taking orders. I’m guessing this was one of the owners. But it was very disturbing.
11:57 — I finally got my tea & I had to ask if they had a menu.
12:01 — I was finally able to place an order.
12:03 — Saw another female enter and I am assuming she was an owner as well.
12:19 — Finally got my salad. It was supposed to have bacon, but it was missing. I asked why it was not on the salad and the waitress apologized and went and got some. She said she brought me some «extra». Ok if this was extra, I hate to see what was supposed to be on it.
12:33 — I finished my salad.
12:40 — Finally received my check.
I will not be back and I have already began telling my local friends about my experience.

This place is adorable! The service is wonderful, the atmosphere is great, and all of the food is delicious. They have a menu with sandwiches, soups, salads, desserts, and daily specials. The scones are so so good. There is also a large tea menu! I highly recommend!
