We went to a late dinner after a long day. Walked across the road from hotel so it was very convenient. The service was great, salad bar was very fresh, tv playing hockey game in bar. Everyone was very friendly and food was very good. Beer, salad, steak, dessert, game and good atmosphere. What else is there?

Triple prime burgers are awesome. Beer is cold. Cleanliness of bar leaves a lot to be desired. Wipe the tables and bar down!!!

Bartenders are friendly, food is bad, Direct TV has been out in the bar area since Monday. Manager in the restaurant is blaming the Direct TV but they have not bothered to call Firect TV since Monday. Only good reason to come here… if you, are staying at the hotel and want a drink but don’t want to drive!!!

In the past I would have rated this lower based on service, but the past few times I have been here, the service has been great. The food is what it is. I do like that they change the menu from time to time ie. seasonal vegetables. I am satisfied with this restaurant on a consistent basis.

They open til 11p most nights so this was a plus for me as I walked in just past 10p and ordered ribs. Their dry rub ribs were amazing, and service at the bar was on par.

Worst service from manager ever. I received email for free burger for my birthday since I signed up. We’ll I am here once in a blue moon. Out to eat and went to use it. Opened coupon amd said it’s expired. There is no date on email or in email for expiration date or on the table about the program for a free burger for your birthday. I have not used this coupon at all. The serve takes my phone to show her manager the email. The server comes back and says without a Barcode there is nothing they can do. Manager could not even talk to me or come over and appolize for any inconvenience. It’s not like this is the only thing on the menu. She could of came over to talk to me to resolve the matter personally since the server saw I was upset and disappointed with the email. The manager could if took off 1 of the 3 appetizers that were ordered. Or 10% off bill or even just acknowledged the email that it was there in the email and took the burger off.

I know it’s in fashion to dislike chain restaurants but I have to say I’ve had worse and the value here is not bad at all. Best of all the service here was very good! Though we waited 10 minutes or so for a table(since we had a party of 10) the maitre’d apologized several times and legit looked concerned about the amount of time we were waiting. He almost looked stressed out, though we were just shooting the breeze by the entrance. It looked earnest and he seemed like a nice college kid trying to do the right thing. Similarly the waitress was warm and friendly and food was served quickly. It’s refreshing to go to a place with white glove service(surprisingly at a chain restaurant) and hard for me to hate on them! The salad bar is unlimited and consisted of fresh though limited selection of salad and veggies. The rack of ribs with bbq sauce here were quite tasty and a good deal, under 20 bucks with two sides. A Cajun pasta dish with chicken, shrimp and sausage was cooked very well, better than I’ve had at many much more expensive Italian restaurants, where it could be either too soggy or hard as cardboard. The sauce and taste was good, though the meat was a bit on the salty side. Good meal and I’ll return if I happen to be in the area.

We stopped here on a long road trip as it was the only place we could find to sit and get table service in the area. My father and I had shrimp, and my husband had fried chicken. My father’s shrimp platter was fried to a crisp and the chips were both dry and limp. After one or two shrimps, he did not want any more and lost his appetite. I tasted one and agreed that they were tasteless and dry. My Asian style shrimps had a strange unidentifiable sauce which was soapy and greasy at the same time, and I only ate half of the very small bowl, because I was starting to feel quite unwell. Both of us had the impression they had been deep fried, for too long, from frozen and the centres were not properly cooked. Dad and I felt unwell for the rest of the journey and I was concerned I was going to get full-blown food poisoning although my stomach pains and dizziness came to nothing in the end. I am writing this view partly because I hope the managers see this and investigate what is going on in the kitchen. Having lived in the US for only 4 months, this is the worst food I’ve had anywhere and think there must be something profoundly wrong in the kitchen or with the ingredients. My husband’s chicken was OK. The service was alright too, so it wasn’t a completely negative experience!(we visited for lunch on 30th November 2015).

I don’t know what happened to Ruby Tuesday. I used to love coming here(and the East Brunswick location) with my family because they like the seafood and pasta dishes. However, all I have noticed throughout the years are increased prices and smaller portions. I usually get the Ruby Classic Burger but I’m into steak these days so I ordered a petite sirloin. The steak itself was tiny, which I expected and is okay. However, the sides were pretty pathetic. I received 4 half stalks of broccoli and the mashed potato had a weird texture to it. My brother got the triple prime burger and for some reason, the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were omitted. He didn’t want to «bother the waiter» by asking about it so it was also partly his fault for not addressing the missing parts of the burger. I also looked at my sister’s meal and the portion was absolutely meager. No one particularly enjoyed the food and we all left still a little hungry. I did give this place 2 stars because the steak was alright. I asked for medium and it came out as medium. The waiter was also okay. We had to wait a bit for our food(not his fault) and for us to get our credit card back. Unfortunately, I doubt we’d come back when we can get better and less expensive food elsewhere in the area.

Pretty average chain restaurant. Decent salad bar. Nice interior. Plenty of parking. Attached to a motel, so the fact that it’s a chain restaurant distinguished this place from your usual motel restaurant. Service was excellent.

This place still is «bottle of the barrel» of food establishments. Staff — unaware, lazy, slow, Food — overcooked, bland Establishment — dirty, plates at salad bar are 50% dirty Overall — the only reason they have business is because of the courtyard marriot is attached and the business people are either to lazy to leave the property, are in a hurry or just don’t care. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to anyone.

Food was good for a chain. But our waitress, service and the manager was impeccable… the manager was so attentive to my fiancé son allergies with the food and our waitress was at our service non stop. Felt like she read my mind. Fresh drink in hand before other was done. Very sweet… Would definitely come back. Very satisfied with everything

We go with a group(between 8 and 10 people usually. Ruby’s seems to be able to give up separate checks and handle the orders in a timely manner. I like the salad bar, which has lots of choices and keep clean and fresh looking. The Bourbon salmon, which I usually order is done well and most of the others at the table seem happy with their meals. The food is inexpensive enough that even with a drink you haven’ spurged.

Stopped in for lunch. Service and salad bar was great. Chicken tenders were greasy and not crisp. Cleanliness is poor. The tile floor is sticky as you walk on it. Chairs look grimy. We will not be coming back.

To be honest, my gripes with this place began long before I tried their food. About a year ago I applied to work at this location, drove an hour and a half to go to the interview, only to be told that the hiring manager was out of town and that he’d call me back. He never did. This is probably my fault, since I did not follow up to confirm the interview. Ah well. Still left me a little sour on this place though. Recently I ended up meeting someone at the bar to catch a hockey game on TV. We asked the bartender if she could put on the channel for the game. She said she needed to get a manager to change it. I thought it was a little weird that the bartender couldn’t change the channel without a manager but we were patient. After about ten minutes we asked her again, and she said she would ask the manager again. By the time we got our appetizers and our entrees(everything tasted great), the channel still wasn’t changed. In the same span of time, I saw a nearby server change one of the channels on another TV for her table. We ended up missing half of the game. I was very disappointed with this situation. I even ended up giving this location yet another chance a few weeks later, and the service was much the same. Avoid!

First off I love the salad bar. That was awesome. Strawberry lemonade was great. Got the chicken Parmesan pasta. Chicken was awesome. Noodles were undercooked. Lacked any flavor. Was basically noodles tasteless cheese and a little red sauce. Can’t recommend . Service was nice enough. I think the meal just needed a bit more love. They don’t have a club sandwich which was disappointing.

I came with the family to try the slow cooked ribs and lobster tail. The lobster was fantastic, but the service was like the ribs… Slow. Either they are under scheduled or have new servers. I would return for the food and salad bar, but prepare for less than awesome service. The kids meals were perfect for them and the choices included many health options. The crayon selection was great and the drawing menu appropriate. It’s a good option for families, just don’t come too hungry. Your children may melt down from the wait time. Don’t Ask For A Refill… It won’t come.

Got into town late… this place was closing in 25 minutes… They were nice enough to throw a burger on the grill for me to go. I sucked down a couple of drafts while I was waiting… life was good that night… Thank you for serving me… I know you all wanted to go home… you enabled me to end a real crappy day on a good note… thank you.

I have written a lot of reviews for chains even though many of my fellow Unilocalers don’t like going to chains. I travel a lot for work and normally a chain fits into our allowance. However, just like some mom and pop places — chains are NOT all the same — not even within a chain and this one proves just that. I entered the establishment — was seated in the far back — my waitress who was an absolute wreck finally came to me after I had long decided what I wanted. She seemed shocked that I knew what I wanted. I was very specific as to what I wanted after asking her for a recommendation on which steak I should get. She claimed that she doesn’t really enjoy steak and when she does have it — she orders it well-done. However, she said, «I haven’t had any complaints YET!» Like complaints are common. I ordered my steak medium rare and the salad bar. NOSIDES! I also ordered an unsweetened ice tea with no lemon. She took my order and away she went. I had no idea how long her trip would be. After assembling my salad — eating my salad and sitting — looking around, my waitress finally decided to return with my ice tea with LEMON — no straw though — she had to take another trip for that. As I sat waiting and waiting — finally she returned with a large plate for the two little pieces of crap biscuits that were so salty I couldn’t even eat. Again — waited more! Just when I thought someone forgot about my steak — out from the kitchen it was delivered — by someone from the kitchen. Though it DID have a side of steamed broccoli that stunk — the steak finally arrived. After cutting into the steak — I wasn’t even convinced it was beef — just didn’t look right and it was well over seasoned. Though it WAS medium rare! I finished eating that steak because I was starving and had a headache by this time and now I was ready to pay and head back to my hotel. Guess what I did — I waited even more time. Every time the waitress was getting close to my table she turned and took another trip — over and over again until I got up and hunted for her! Finally — I gave her my credit card and then waited longer because she sent it to the wrong printer — must be the one in the kitchen — because she took yet another trip. The food was not good, the service was horrible — the table was sticky — the waitress needs some pointers — perhaps training instead of hiring anyone off the streets. I wouldn’t send anyone to this place — and the only reason it’s still in business is because it’s convenient! This was actually my second trip to this place — the first being just good enough to get me to return — price is ok, but not worth the horrible service and unknown food!
