Joel is very thorough and detail oriented. just an example: he uses a infared sensing device to test each register. the thermostat in the home wasn’t working, so he changed the batteries and got it up an running so he could perform the test. just keep in mind, his inspections take a few hours because he is that thorough, this isn’t a quickie thing. his fees are comparable with others. You’re paying for the experience and thoroughness. I consider myself handy and he saw a bunch of things that I would never have picked up on. recommended
Update: recieved the pdf report via email with great pictures of everything including gard to reach areas like inside the attic.
Update: about 2 weeks after the inspection I had some follow up questions; I emailed Joel., he got back to me right away, and also insisted that if I ever had questions about the house in the future that I’m welcome to call him.

Joel was thorough, detail oriented and a pleasure to work with. He was early to our inspection, and gave his complete attention to every aspect of the home — from exterior aspects around the home to every detail within the home. He provided opinion in 2 parts — one which goes into the inspection as issues, and the other — items to keep on watch as a homeowner. His report was thorough — had 3 versions; one which is a summary, summary with pics and a detailed report for my use. Definitely would recommend, especially to first time home buyers with limited knowledge of SFH’s.

Fantastic experience with Joel @ Metro Home Inspection. He’s very upfront with the pricing and there were no hidden surprises. Arranged for a 9AM appointment and he was there and ready to go at 8:30. He spent about 3 hours poring through every nook and cranny of the house and taking pictures of any potential trouble spots. After he was done looking through a portion of the house, he would call us over for a debrief of what he found in that particular area. Along the way he also mentioned a lot of helpful tips and tricks for keeping the house well maintained and made some suggestions regarding the maintenance/​repair/​replacement of the HVAC system.
Icing on the cake? Within 2 days, we got 3 copies of the report (full, summary, summary with pictures) electronically which was also provided to our realtor and lawyer. Again, just a great experience with Joel and I’d definitely recommend him to anyone needing an honest and thorough home inspection

What a great experience with Joel Mizrahi. He was helpful on the phone when I was just inquiring about prices and time frames. When we had the inspection he was there early and went to work right away. He looked at everything! I never expected such a detailed report. He pointed out anything that he thought would need attention sooner than later during the inspection and the report included a write up on every detail of the home. He also commented on things not related to the inspection, but that were helpful/​good to know. He was very nice and easy to work with. He even saved me some money by telling me I did not require a certain test, but he would do it if I wanted. The report was delivered electronically to me within a business day. He sent it to my lawyer too. He gives you a short summary as well as the full report. I highly recommend Joel.
