Great local townie bar. Love the pizza, and wings. Music bingo is fun

Tried the new place in Swansea on a Friday night… if you’re looking to drink and watch sports then this IS the place but eat somewhere else first. All the food is pre-​packaged frozen… nothing is fresh. Ordered a chicken tender wrap… chicken was overcooked… way too crunchy and dry, lettuce was old, and so was the pickle on the plate, wilted not firm and crunchy. I could smell that first when she put the plate on the table. My husband got the French dip sandwich… boxed shaved steak, au jus sauce had layer of oil on top with whitish color gravy underneath, not a brown sauce at all.
We counted 10 TVs in the 1 room we were seated in. The bigger TVs over the bar were great but the smaller ones in front of the bar were not set up proportionate to the screen. Half of the picture was cut off and because they have no sound you could not read the prompts as to what was going on. If a game had been playing at that time, and those were the only TVs you could watch, you may have missed half the plays as they were cut off.
The staff was friendly but our waitress seemed overwhelmed. When you order unsweetened ice tea and ask for Splenda and she says we don’t have any, then ask for sugar and the sugar caddy she brings has Splenda in it… usually means there is a learning curve there… no???
Mind you I am not a big sports fan but because my husband is I don’t mind watching them when we go out to eat, but because of that I would expect to be satisfied with the food. For us this place bombed on all counts and we will not be back there again.

Best Soups and Wings in the area hands down.

I’ve already said in numerous reviews, I will never be a fan of sports bars 100%. The reason? I hate sports. So automatically, this review drops a star. I’m sorry, it’s just what it is. My goal upon visiting this establishment were the following:
1. Play Keno
2. Eat greasy food
3. play trivia
4. Drink beer
In all senses they delivered. Buuuuut a bunch of small things got in the way. The bartender was asked for a menu, and then didn’t come back with it. I totally get it, she was nuts running around, the only one there. When she did come back, I asked her what a spinach and artichoke Rangoon was. She explained, but then thought I wanted to order it and started to take away the menu I had waited so long to aquire! This was just funny though, and she was very apologetic. At times, the place got deafeningly loud. Like «I have to shout at you to have a conversation» loud. And while I loved the idea of a spinach and artichocke Rangoon, I feel that 30 seconds less in the friolator would have done it some good. I mean literally 30 seconds less. It was just a touch overcooked. Would I come back here to have a meal? No. Would I come back here to play trivia? Absolutely.

Yummy stuffed quahogs. bring back lost sailor and pinball machine. Decent food and very reasonable. Sometimes the music is annoying. Friendly staff.

I have been here a few times. The service and food are excellant. If you like wings, try theirs. I think they are better than Buffalo Wild wings and their prices are better too. So aren’t their fries.

Great wings, soups, sandwiches & salads !!! Great staff & ice cold beer… Wings could be hotter but we will work on that :)

Not a bad sports bar! Good service, and the usual bar prices! The bathroom was disgusting and should probably be cleaned every hour or so, especially on the busy nights.

So sorry for the ownership. Revisited last night.
no seats still. 15 minutes and no service and one of the locals wanted to fight because an outsider was intruding his turf.
I gave it my very best. Went 5 times and this one got worse every time. Happy to report left without injuries. Geesh

Friendly clean neighborhood sports bar gets my vote for best chicken wings in the area!

My fiancé and I just stumbled upon this place one day while looking for a place to eat that would be quick and he could watch the game if it came on before we got home. That’s when we saw Gridiron. It seemed like a sports pub on the outside and the other reviews on Unilocal seemed decent.
It is mostly bar there are only a few tables, there is pool tables, darts, and keno. It seemed like a place that has a lot of regulars and it is a younger crowd. We just wanted to get food didn’t plan on really hanging out that long. The bartender was also the only waitress so it took some time to get drinks/​food as the bar began to pick up.
All the food was good. We started off with nachos (this was my favorite) I know your saying nachos are nachos but these were on a large plate spaced out so almost every chip had some topping. Also the salsa and sour cream was in cups which I like because you didn’t have to scrape it off of other chips. My fiancé got the steak & cheese sub and it was very good, I did the stupid thing and tried it and wished I had ordered that the whole time I was eating my meal. I got the Southwest chicken sandwich it was good but the chicken was a little dry, but other then that tasty. I also got the homemade potato chips which were AWESOME.
