Always a good meal. fresh and delicious. friendly staff and they treat you like they’ve known you forever. Desserts are made from scratch.

Pretty standard diner but surprisingly good food and great service. No nonsense. No frills. Quintessential good diner. Homemade cheesecake to chase an excellent ruben.

To be fair I will say I have only been there for lunch or breakfast and never for dinner. Staff is friendly and service is good if not crowded, but food is just average at best. Still it is nice to have this in Somers here choices are few.

I like this informal eatery. The chicken Souvlaki is delicious. I’ve had it numerous times and it’s fresh and good.

My name is Kleida and I’m one of the owners of Somers diner. Can you please explain to me to where you got this info about us not using soap for our dishes. Just so you know, our dishes are washed twice, once by hand and once by dish washer. You are more than welcome to come see the process if in doubt.

The staff remembers my niece’s name and the food is insanely good! Crème of turkey is a must!!! Definitely coming back with the kids!

Good food, service and family atmosphere! The owner, who was also our server, was genuinely happy! Great place to bring your family to relax and enjoy.

We stopped here on the way back from the Stormville flea market. The owner was very friendly and the food was good.

My wife and I go to the Somers diner every Friday for dinner. We love the FRESH food and warm greetings when we eat there. This is what Somers needed, great dinning, good food at reasonable prices. The owners Maria and Clayta along with the friendly environment, is what makes this diner feel like home. We highly recommend if you need a good meal visit the Somers diner in Somers NY.

Disappointing. My husband and I went to the Somers Diner for the first time today (5÷24÷15). Not impressed; in fact I was really unhappy. I had the chicken souvlaki and found myself biting into and getting stuck in the cheek with a 1 ½ inch piece of wishbone that was in a piece of chicken. I pointed it out to the owner/​manager (?). She sort of apologized and then said she always buys boneless chicken. I guess she hadn’t this time!
Otherwise, the incident was ignored. No offer to replace the chicken. No offer to comp even our iced teas (Really? For the few cents it costs them to make the iced teas, wouldn’t it have made sense to give us any indication that they cared about us as customers?).
When we left the restaurant, none of the staff was in the dining room. The manager called out «Thanks» from the kitchen in the back and then disappeared.
Otherwise, the food was mediocre and not up to the standards of other diners where we’ve eaten. There was a young man who was mopping the floors with bleach while we ate. Glad it’s a clean place, but who wants to smell bleach while eating?
Clearly, we won’t be back.

Everything you could want from a diner! Friendly, homely, and responsive wait staff, food is always cooked as ordered. Asked them once what they recommended and they brought me a breakfast burrito… It is the best breakfast burrito of my life. I come here every morning now.

It’s a warm, cozy place to go for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food is good, with typical diner fare and specialties served with a little more love from the waitstaff than other places in the area I’ve been too. Very kid and family friendly, no attitude, great cheesecake. Counter and takeout service available.
