Oak Hill Cemetery Dist

This cemetery is the most beautiful, serene cemetery I have ever visited. If you drive too quickly on Baseline Avenue, you’ll pass it; the town is that small. I am an avid visitor of cemeteries, and this one has the best vibe to it and is just so warm and peaceful.
There is a trail around the cemetery where the locals can jog or walk their dogs. The cemetery is infrequently visited, so it’s a good place to hang out (respectfully, of course), perhaps have lunch if you know someone buried here, or just spend the afternoon, like I did. Oak trees surround the perimeter, so it feels really closed in; it’s a real sanctuary.
The cemetery resident who attracts the most attention is, of course, Edie Sedgwick. She is buried in the old section of the cemetery, behind the office. If you’d like to visit her, there is a video here that I made to help people find her (so you don’t have to spend all day searching, like I did!):
