When obligated to obtian a last minute halloween costume this is a good place to go but it will cost you more than a pretty penny. It is easy to navigate and the organisation is by costume type which makes it easy to build classic costume types like zombie, midevel, vampire, but it lacks the structure to build your own costume. The prices are retail which is expected for last minute shopers.

Party city fits the bill in that regard, with thousands of party needs to choose from: party plates, decors, balloons, favors, napkins, costumes, you name it. I am disappointed that they did not have the Bjork swan costume (for a friend), but otherwise, I was very happy.

They have lots of supplies, but here’s the real issue. The employees are never where they need to be. Often an employee is working on blowing up balloons and people are in a lengthy line waiting. Now at Halloween, they seem to have good coverage. Sometimes, the associates have an edge… But they have the only game for miles and miles around…

Decent selection of standard cheap plastic party supplies. Hats, streamers, decorations and is arranged by occasion and theme. Hello Kitty, trucks, birthdays, weddings, pirates, etc.
Sometimes has very good clearance sales — usually prices are a little more expensive than Marc’s, but with the selection it may be worth a look. Last year I got several rolls of wrapping paper for 10 cents each and a bunch of other christmas goodies.
