Hair Lounge at Cedros

Called for a Brazilian Blowout after seeing a Groupon. Camille was completely booked but she opened up on a Sunday just to fit me in. Camille did a great job on my Brazilian and haircut. She is professional and personable. Really appreciated the fact that she made herself available on such short notice and getting me in on her day off. I will be back.

I have been going to Kelly for my highlights for over 5 years. She listens to my ideas but I’m very aware that she’s the professional. She knows what she’s talking about. She’s fast and thorough. A fantastic combination! I’m always happy with my outcome and she’s always willing to make some changes since I get bored with the same color combinations all the time. She runs on time which is important to me. Her staff is terrific and the ambiance is so relaxing.

Maricel gives an excellent cut and style! She is highly skilled, detail oriented, creative, and professional. My hair looks 100% better! I highly recommend her to create your new look. You will leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and beautiful!

Courtney Pryor is TOP notch! I went to her for the first time a few days ago and for the first time in many years I have the color I have been asking for!!! She immediately new the color I was talking about, got to mixing, and soon after I left happy. She doesn’t waste time either. She’s thorough, accurate, and quick! With others I’ve spent up to 3 hrs and always left disappointed with a color that’s too dark for my complexion. I kind of expected to be disappointed again because of past experience but needed to at least try one more time before my sister’s wedding. Courtney did exactly what I wanted. She has restored my faith and she’s clearly talented! I hope she stays in North County for a long time :-)

The worst hair cut I’ve ever had! Courtney butchered my hair. I asked for long layers and it turned out so uneven on each side. Each layer even the bottom longer layers are at least an inch longer on one side! I didn’t notice till I got home and took a closer look. How can a «professional» not have seen this. Thanks for screwing up my hair!

My «extremely damaged» hair was never uneven before you cut it, I would have noticed this from styling my hair daily. Yes, you mentioned it but only AFTER you started cutting it. And by the way I never told you an inch. I remember thinking that it was odd that you didn’t ask how much I wanted taken off. I told you to trim my LONG LAYERS. I walked out of there with my hair cut into a ‘V’. I had to go to professional to have it fixed.
The Groupon was an oversight on my part but if it was an issue you should have let me know. My cut still cost me almost $ 50 after tip, I would have paid the difference.
I thought I would give you a second chance and not hold it against you that the first time you colored my hair you didn’t leave it in long enough leaving gray hair still showing. Let’s not even bring up how you «styled» my hair. I asked for beach wavy curls and walked out with the dumbest looking ringlets. One last thing, i tried to get ahold of you three times before having to call your salon. It was only after that you finally returned a phone call.
A little advice to anyone looking for a new hair stylist or just trying save money on a hair cut… Don’t do it! Please learn from my experience. I researched top salons in Del Mar and found an amazing girl at Haim salon.

When I first moved to San Diego, I was at a complete loss, like a sheep with no shepherd, unaware as to where (and whom) could take care of my hair styling needs.
Then it happened. My life changed. The day I walked into Hair Lounge at Cedros is a day that shall never be forgotten, much like Christmas, New Years, or perhaps the fateful day that U2 released the seminal album «War» (28 February 1983).
Speaking of wars, they are best remembered not by their individual statistics, nor minuscule facts, but for the absolute ingenuity and brilliance of their weapon makers and tacticians.
This quote reminds me of my experience at Hair Lounge, and more specifically it’s how I feel about my haircuts done by Taylor, a stylist at the salon. Her work is so brilliant, so bitingly effective at making me look my absolute best, and so completely close to the perfect ideal, that it sometimes pains me to look in the mirror after she’s finished, due exclusively to the powerful golden aura that radiates off my person every time she gets near me with a pair of scissors. Similar to war, her work is not remembered best as a series of individual cuts, but the total collective brilliance of her decisions as a stylist.
Needless to say, I can’t recommend her enough. Scissors dance with quick precision, the likes of which I’ve not equaled by anyone with the exception of Edward Scissorhands during his topiary phase, and as locks of hair fall to the ground, I feel a phoenix-​like rise to the aesthetic ideal. I’ve shed the lesser me and ascended to something I could once only dream of, just due to the brilliance she has as a stylist.

A top notch hair salon that sells cute clothing and jewelry too. I love the prime location in the emerging fun zone of the Solana Beach Cedros Design District. I have visited this small family owned business several times and a few things really stand out. The staff members are always friendly, everything is neat and tidy, and the décor is classy yet understated. The friendly vibe hits you the moment you step inside with details like the lemon infused water in cute mason glasses, coffee and cookies that are served to their guests.
Although I have not gotten my hair done, I have seen fantastic results from their stylists. My favorite part of this salon is the adorable bohemian themed clothing and jewlery. This couture is not mainstream inspired trendy fashion. When you buy something at Hair Lounge, inevitably someone will compliment your selection, and ask where you bought it. Of course you will answer «Hair Lounge at Cedros» with just a hint of attitude and a grin. Chances are good that that you will never run into anybody else wearing the same outfit.
Whether you come for the shopping, styling, primping or waxing, you will want to walk across the street to Culture Brewing to show off your new look, and if you have an impatient companion, park them there while you luxuriate.

Wow what a salon. Very classy and all the stylists are at the top of their game. Also if you have any Christmas shopping you need to get done Hair Lounge has a great selection of clothing, gift items, accessories, just really unique and quality stuff.
I get my eyebrows done here and Lisa makes it quick and painless without using any wax. The older you get the less elastic your skin is and the last thing we need is wax stretching and ripping our sensitive skin. Lisa plucks it all by hand and is so fast you don’t even realize what is happening. And no big angry red marks or residue that waxing leaves behind. She will also tint your eyebrows if you are going gray like I am.
I can tell by the clientele that were in the salon that all of these ladies go above and beyond. The guests were raving about how their hair turned out and how great they felt. That to me is the mark of a truly exceptional salon.

I was recommended to this place by a friend! I was skeptical, cause I wasn’t accustomed to paying that much for my hair cuts, but I also wasn’t getting a consistent cut! Then Inez got her hands on me and utterly pampered me and gave me a fantastic cut every time! She is great and everyone else is soooo friendly! I’m paying more, but it is very much worth it! Plus, I can walk across street to culture brewery after my cut… bonus!

LOVE this place! Beautiful salon with fabulous stylists! I have been going to Kelly for years now. Always get that perfect cut and color. The salon has a great ambiance that makes you feel like a true spa feel. 5-​star all around!

The Salon Lounge has exceptional customer service, along with some highly talented stylists. Anyone say Hair extentions? Kelly does an amazing job, making me walk out looking like a rockstar.

I am 36 years old and over the past few years I have been blessed to have Cindy in my life. Hands down the best hair cutter ever. I am very picky and have had some bad stylists in the past and the ones i thought were good paled in comparison. If you want a custom haircut and don’t mind spending a few extra bucks it goes a long way. The place is also nice and they have a coffee machine. Sometimes they have lemon muffins and I usually eat two! I highly recommend Cindy to all the dudes out there looking for the best cut possible, not just a barber shop neck shave. Ask for Cindy! I actually found Cindy through someone’s online review from over 5 years ago. That’s why I am posting this!

I followed my colorist, Shelley, over here to The Hair Lounge at Cedros. First of all, Shelley is by far the best colorist in the San Diego area in my opinion. This new location for her is comfortable and parking is easy. Nice décor, great neighborhood!

Thank god I found Megan! I’ve never had more compliments on a haircut than I did after visiting Megan. People who I hadn’t seen in months told me that I finally found a haircut that suits me and those who I see everyday continue to compliment the way the cut looked even after I washed out the beautiful styling. I’ve now seen Megan three times for a haircut and even more often for blow-​outs and styling.
My hair is thick and wavy making it pretty unmanageable. Most of the time I don’t do anything to style it and then I regret that when I see pictures of myself. That changed for the better after the cut that Megan gave me, I can now get out of the shower, put in a small amount of product and be pleased with the results. She cut my layers taking the shape of my face into account and even managed to make my grown-​out bangs look sophisticated. I am very appreciative that she found a way to remove a lot of bulk and weight from my hair while keeping it long and working with my natural volume.
Megan is a wonderful person to spend the hour with. I love her sense of humor, attention to detail and her authenticity. She’ll give you an honest opinion while drawing on your strengths.

Cortney Pryor has been doing my hair for a few years and she does an amazing job every time! I have changed my hair up many times and every time she understands what I want and then personalizes it to what looks best on me and it always turns out great! Her prices are fair as well because I know a lot of salons can be overpriced. I would recommend Cortney to anyone and everyone!

I had my hair done by Shelley Lamb. And she did a awesome job. I wanted an Ombré look, but not too extreme. She gave me exactly what I wanted. She is so good at color. And she is really sweet. I will be back to see her for sure.

Highly recommend Courtney! I went in today for a haircut, and she did an amazing job. She took her time styling my hair and have me exactly what I asked for. The salon is also very nice, lots of cute décor, and the front desk staff are very friendly.

I really enjoyed my visit to Hair Lounge at Cedros last week. They are located in the beginning of Cedros Designer District, with lots of art galleries, antique furniture shops and urban boutiques.
I am usually quite picky with my hair and have been looking for a «home location» to do my haircuts for a long time. I received an amazing haircut with stylish bangs from a new stylist, Erin. She has recently moved here from Chicago. She is amazing! Very professional and highly knowledgeable about all the latest hair techniques, styles, color treatments. She also gave me great tips on how to style my hair so I can do it at home myself.
I also loved the way Erin styled my hair after the haircut. It lasted for DAYS (unlike blowouts you typically get at DryBar) and I received many compliments on my hair. I am definitely looking forward to my next appointment!
There is a very nice boutique inside the Hair Lounge, you should definitely check it out from unique designer pieces and jewelry from local artists.
