Hard Labor Creek State Park Golf Course

This rating is based on a March 12^th round.
The Creek Golf Course at Hard Labor State Park is nicely etched into the natural landscape making use of the natural landscape. The 1^st hole has been rated the hardest starting hole in Georgia.
The course in a word… LONG over 6400 yards with ample left and right dog-​legs, elevation changes and a layout that forgives minor errors yet rewards well placed shots.
My rating is based on a few mushy fairways and the active pre-​season effort to refresh the sandtraps.

Great staff. Wonderful course. Not a bad hole on the course. Was hungry after the round and asked for a good place to eat. Directed us to Ruthledge wings. Was awesome. Great day

Went looking for the filming location of one of my all-​time favorite horror films. Jason Lives: Friday the 13^th part VI. We went for the weekend, staying in one of the nicely furnished cottages (#6). Full kitchen, 4 double beds, lots of towels. Don’t come for good reception on your cell phone or a large selection of television channels. Why do you need them with such beauty around you. Fishing, hiking and relaxing are on the agenda. The leaves were just turning when we staying in mid-​October. The weather was warm during the day and just crisp at night. There is also an excellent golf course on site. You’re away from it all, but within 10 minutes of food and 20 minutes within Walmart. Oh, and yes, we did find and explore the filming locations. Super weekend!

We came out here for a golf weekend and had a great time. The cottages were very nice and come with picnic tables and a fully stocked kitchen.
We came out with a bunch of food and grilled out at night and then played golf during the day. The course is fairly difficult and kept in average condition as some of the greens were a bit beat up but nothing to stop me from playing there again. Hole 1 is a pisser, without a doubt the hardest one on the course I wonder why they start you off so angry ;)

Dad and DH played a round of golf. We love to camp but this trip was not memorable.
