The most amazing south Indian food in west coast. The food was fantastic — every one of them! The service extremely friendly. If you died and went to heaven this is the kind of food they’d serve. I am in food coma now, although I want to write more, words fail me.

This place is amazing. The food is always so delicious and the people are more than kind every time we come in. My toddler begs to come and eat here. Thank you so much.

First visit here, was looking at places to eat near Snoqualmie Falls and saw this. Friend with me said he had heard good reviews so decided to try them out. Had to wait 30+ minutes to get a table. And it was all justified. Everything we ordered was delicious. Its a pity that we stay almost an hours drive from this place otherwise this could have been favorite jaunt.

We went to this place with high expectations. Especially because it was recommended so highly by friends and by Unilocal. As a South Indian, there is a shortage of authentic South Indian Restaurants around the Seattle area. We ordered Pakodas, Baingan Bajji and Vada as appetizers. flavorful but TOO oily. Rather than a light moist Vada which I expected, it tasted like someone had fried a nice vada and dipped it again in oil. The main course was Masala Dosa. Again, so oily that the Dosa stuck to the plate and could not even be scraped off. The filling was basically mashed potatoes: no flavor. The accompaniments are usually the thing that distinguishes a great meal. The chutney was watery and lacking in flavor. The portions were very small also. Did I mention how oily the dosa was? Anyway I went home with heartburn which I never usually experience. If you are a Snoqualmie local, it may be worth checking out just to satisfy your curiosity. But I don’t recommend a drive out from Seattle or Bellevue.

Not planned, we ended up in Snoqualmie looking for lunch. We stepped inside this cute Indian restaurant for a look at the menu to find such a popular eatery, friendly faces, and pretty Indian décor. Unfortunately, we arrived at closing for lunch, but we were so curious, they let us order take out. This food is the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten. We had the chicken tikki masala and chicken samosas. The flavors and spices were dancing in my mouth. Can’t wait to visit again for a proper dine-in experience! Fab restaurant!!!

This place is stellar. From the attentive, kind service to the delicious, authentic food, it sets itself apart from the average Indian spot. I recommend checking it out for a work lunch — you’ll get a suitable share of food for. right around $ 10.

As others have noted, this is a good, authentic experience. Lunch specials are reasonably priced, nicely varied, and well proportioned so they fill your belly without sending you back to the office feeling like the Goodyear Blimp. About the only thing I really, really don’t care for here is the coffee. It comes with lunch, and is liberally spiked with dairy. Being a black coffee person, that’s not for me.

You will never go wrong with any dish they prepare. Pay attention to the specials they announce from time to time

This is the most authentic south Indian food in the Seattle area. I have been living in Seattle for over two and a half years but have never had rasam as good as they have here. Even though a bit far from the city, its easily accessible via i90. It is a family owned establishment, and there is always a crowd on weekends. They have a small space, and so there is generally a short wait to be seated. The menu has many unique items that you don’t generally find in other Indian restaurants. The Malabar parotta and dosas are my favorite here, but everything on the menu is excellent. They also have good desserts, and don’t miss out on the traditional filter coffee to finish up your meal. If you like south Indian food, this should be on your bucket list. I would definitely go much more often if this was closer.

I love this place. The food is some of the best Indian food I’ve had in the state. This may not mean much to some(coming from a gori) but I regularly drive up from Seattle just to get the homemade paranthas, fried fish, malai kofta, and drink majjiga … The list goes on. The staff is lovely(if sometimes a little overburdened) and the space is just o.k.(It’s clean enough, it’s just awkward. One long railroad-car type room.) I won’t attempt to be the voice of authenticity, since I didn’t grow up with a Ma who cooked Indian, but from what I can tell from traveling in India, the food is well in the ballpark. The curries are rich and have complex favors, the chutneys are delicious, and did I mention the homemade parantha? I always take a few home. Heaven. :)

Unique southern Indian menu. Many of the items on the menu are very hard to find. Dessert selection was unique too. I was very excited when I read the menu. However, we had a number of issues with the food. First of all, we were very disappointed when we found out they only carry thali plates during the week. The pictures of the thali plates on Unilocal were the main reasons we decided to eat here. Like most southern Indian style places, the entrees are way overpriced for the amount of food received. The chaat/appetizers/dosa are really the only way to go. Plus, those items tend to be more unique and interesting anyway. The sambar that came with the dosa was probably the weakest sambar we’ve had in a long time. We prefer thick sambar with lots of «stuff’ in it. This is basically a thin soup. Dosas were good but not as good as Dosa Corner(ok with a name like that it better be better!) and on par or even not as good as Chaat n Roll. My husband’s eggplant entrée was flavorful but incredibly oily. I wish he would stop ordering oily eggplant dishes because he eats one bite and leaves the rest for me(I hate wasting food). This one may have even beat the very oily eggplant we ate at Spicy Talk. I tried to order the kitchari(one of my favorites and so hard to find!) but they didn’t have it. Despite those negatives, the food was pretty tasty and the service was very good. They were very kind to my kids. They also serve you a tasty tomato soup at the beginning of your meal. A nice extra. Instead of getting kitchari, I ended up ordering pongal which is a similar dish and also hard to find on Indian menus in the U.S. It was good although very rich and I wished it had vegetables. We also ordered the chickpea and coconut appetizer. This was by far the best dish of our meal. Very unique. The chickpeas were cooked just right.

5 star Indian food in Snoqualmie. This place was recommended by some friends and we are so happy we have it a try despite the drive from Redmond. We ordered a variety of dishes and they were all delightful! The coconut shrimp and curry chicken wings were great appetizers. We enjoyed the fish fry and butter chicken. Overall a total delight and not your run of the mill Indian joint! Can’t wait to try more dishes!

Best south Indian food I ever had. Loved the Majjige, pomfret curry, mutton biryani and madras coffee. They know how to turn up the heat while keeping it flavorful unlike north Indian restaurants that just throw more red chilli powder on mild curry. Try the majjige(spicy buttermilk). Delicious! Could use better presentation since the taste is so authentic. Comes in a plastic cup with a straw. The madras coffee should be in a steel or glass cup and all the food should be in steel containers. Other than the presentation it is as authentic as it gets. As other Unilocalers have mentioned, even though it was crowded at lunch time, its well worth the wait. I drove 1.5 hours from Ellensburg just to eat lunch here and I will be back

This place is unbelievably good. They are ALWAYS busy too… a good sign, though one to consider when planning a visit. My wife and I have routinely eaten in or ordered for take-out, particularly to eat on the grass during one of the summer concerts. So, about the wait… it’s worth it. Besides, they’ll take your cell number and call you when your table is about ready. We walk up the street to Finaughty’s, Infusion, or the wine bar across the street for a beverage or two while we wait for our table. It’s a perfect place to pass the 30 – 45 minutes it takes to get a table during prime time. The food — in short, it’s some of the best I’ve ever had. When you order mild, you get mild… and when you order something spicy, you get spicy! It’s a weird thing to point out but I like it hot and my wife doesn’t, and it’s harder than it should be to accomplish in some places. Not here though — they nail it every time. Pro tip — get a few pieces of the flat flaky-chewy bread to mop up the leftover sauce.

An amazing South Indian restaurant. I saw delicacies I hadn’t even seen in Bangalore. Finger licking goodness and taste. Must try– Kaalan Masala with Malabar paratha. Kappa Kadalai stew with rice. Carrot halwa for dessert.

I may have considered giving it a higher rating if we had some what decent service. The food was good, but nothing to write home about… although maybe I may say something different had we had a chance to actually chew and taste our food if we weren’t hurried out by the servers. It was quite an annoying dining experience to be honest. Four of us were dining and were approached by at least 3 different servers on multiple occasions asking if we were done eating. Finally they gave up asking and just delivered our bill. I understand the place is busy but we were not there for an extended amount of time and that is no way to treat your customers. Perhaps consider taking reservations to better manage expectations… instead of booting customers once the food lands on the table.

Visited Aahaar for their onam special lunch. Onam is festival in Kerala and one of the highlights is the onam Sadya which is a combination of varieties of dishes. The special lunch was amazing and all their 22 dishes on the plate were delicious and authentic. I am glad we have Aahaar in Seattle.

Great indian spot in Snoqualmie. I was very impressed with this place! Great location. We acme in on a Friday night and this place was slammed! spanking new! Pretty good flavors of dishes. I liked the chicken curry. Make sure you ask for it mild. Mine was super spicy andI had heart burn all day:( Plenty of parking. Tip: Call ahead and take it to go if you are in a hurry.
