The Aardvark is awesome. Dan’s food is an amazing blend of Korean from his Mom and crazy good from his imagination. My favorite is The Aardvark, his original chicken taco. A piece of Pineapple cake for dessert is a must. Next time you are at The Pass check it out.

So Good, So Creative, it’s Crazy… If you’ve not experienced Dan and Aardvark at Snoqualmie Pass, you’re in for an experience. The big question: how can a literal«hole in the wall» become an institution in a town? Answer: excellent, creative food and a wonderful proprietor who loves his craft and really cares about his customers. If you spend any time at Aardvark, you’ll get the drift; locals and repeat customers pouring in, filling up, dropping off, chatting it up and leaving with a smile. And at the center of it all — Dan the Man — a whirlwind in the kitchen, dazzling with new delights and always open to new suggestions and additions to his truly eclectic menu. Who ever heard of a bacon pancake drenched in vanilla ice cream?(the«Avalanche») or a Blue Cheese Burrito? But if you’re willing to try some of Dan’s creations, you’ll be happy you did. My favorite and the dish that put the place on everyone’s map — the«Hurry Curry,» — phenomenal layers of deliciousness soaked in coconut curry. I’ve often found myself full, but unable to stop eating — down to the bottom of the container and the very last morsel of curry-infused rice. Fantastic! So, bottom line, if you’re anywhere near the Pass(and for us now, it’s anywhere within a 30 minute drive), you just have to stop, check in, say hello and prepare to be amazed. You won’t regret it and your senses will be forever grateful.

Dan is a wizard. Everything that guy touches turns into deliciousness. And even when you expect to be delighted, the food still manages to surprise you. I’m a local at the Pass and I can tell you that we all consider Aardvark a point of pride… and a secret too well kept. If you’re up here and you don’t check out Aardvark, you are missing out.

Well, that juice was fantastic! I had been passing through, getting gas there and found this little juice oasis in an RV. It felt a tiny bit odd but I’m more than a tiny bit odd so I popped in and WOW. Instead of crappy soda from the minimart, make this stop and get something not only delicious, but good for you and made by the nicest guy that side of the mountains!

The Aardvark Express is seriously great food each and every time! I sat there eating the Bleu Moon Breakfast Wrap and watched every single customer sing highest praises of the quality of their own orders! I ordered a 2nd Bleu Moon Breakfast Wrap and luxuriate in the moment! I think that I am staying another day in Snoqualmie Pass just so I can eat here again! You gotta go to Snoqualmie Pass SIMPLY to eat here! It is pure heaven!

Dan and Aardvark have become a staple for Snoqualmie Pass patrons. His Hurry Curry and other amazing items which also include his amazing smoothies! I kept my lunch in the cooler today on our way over the pass so I could get some curry.

Last week I stopped by and was surprised by the new dish called«Beebimbop» tender beef in his special sauce, spinach, totally fresh veggies, and fried egg on top. could not stop eating. Then was off to the Tunnel ride for Trek Training. Heck Dan even let me post a flyer for this Mountains To Sound Greenway Trek in July… yes you too can experience the famed Snoqualime Tunnel then ride to Rattlesnake Lake PLUS and get this PLUS you can qualify for Free Hurry Curries… what a tasty deal.

This place is incredible. Everything is cooked to perfection and never disappoints. Dan is very friendly and always good for conversation. I drive to Snoqualmie just to get the food – and always get an extra order to go for the next day’s lunch. Beebimbop is my new favorite, but the entire menu is packed with deliciousness.

Great place to stop when you’re on the mountain or just driving over the pass, I’m currently working my way through the menu and you can’t go wrong with anything on it. Don’t be afraid to start a conversation with Dan while waiting for your food and make sure to ask him what sauce or extra(egg/bacon/etc.) goes well with what you order, he always has a good suggestion.

Great food and friendly service. The food is filling but light and tasty. Be sure to try the aardvark tacos and the curry. Tons of different hot sauces to choose from.

Try the chicken curry. You will not be disappointed. The burger and smoothies are great too. The owner and his brother are super personable. We can’t wait to go back!

I walked 200 miles to The Aardvark Express on the Pacific Crest Trail in August. I didn’t know it existed until I got there. The food and service were terrific. Unique and tasty food. A starving hiker could have not asked for more. This morning the Oxford English Dictionary said ‘Aardvark’ comes from the Afrikaans words ‘earth’(aarde) and ‘hog’(vark). I was a hog of the earth at the Aardvark’s picnic table. Check it out soon. Dana Law San Diego

Absolutely wonderful food! We tried the tofu teriyaki bowl and the tofu curry bowl– both were absolutely delicious and included some pineapple cake on top(quite the unique touch). At $ 9/bowl the prices may be a little steep but are quite normal for the area. Also ordered hot chocolate, which was perhaps the best I’ve ever had! Service was incredibly fast and friendly. I’d say this is the best food we’ve had in the Snoqualmie area and we’ll definitely be back for more!

There are not enough stars on this thing… Me and my friends were snowboarding and told to check this place out by the lady’s in the gear shop… I went back and gave the lady’s a hug after eating here for recommending it to us by far best food I’ve had in a long time

Great food! There is nothing I would rather eat after a long day of hiking or skiing than aardvarks curry. The owner is very genuine and goes beyond my hospitality expectations. With the new trailer upgrade there is no reason not to stop by and give this little gem a try.

Wonderful food! My nephew(a foodie) kept telling me about this incredible food at the top of Snoqualmie Pass. When he told me the restaurant was in a trailer, I was skeptical at best. I travel to and from Chelan on a regular basis, but I am one of those anal types that does not make a stop… for anything. I now make regular stops at the Aardvark. Try anything on the menu. You won’t be disappointed. Dan, the owner and chef, travels to Seattle to buy fresh produce and spices. He creates dishes you would hope to find on the menus at cutting edge restaurants in Seattle. If you don’t have occasion to travel over the pass, take a short trip to the Summit. You won’t be disappointed. Monica M

My friend Jason told me about this place months before he took me there. When we pulled up, I thought he meant the Summit Pancake House. We walked into this fifth wheel trailer, and I was not impressed. I humored Jason and ordered the blue cheese breakfast burrito. It had honey on it. I hate honey. And blue cheese. I have only one word for that burrito. Here it is: OMFG. Dan is an amazing chef and an even greater person. I’ve been back two more times now. He’s always giving us new things, saying ‘try this.’. Don’t let the looks of the place scare you off, its not part of the gas station or the pancake place. If you go, walk in, introduce yourself, and say, ‘Dan, surprise me.’ You won’t be disappointed. Today we got served bacon wrapped kimchi dogs. So, so, so good. And his curry is very good, the chicken is very tender and the sauce does its job without overpowering the dish. I’m going back as often as I can get there from Lake Stevens. It’s worth the trip.

The ginger chicken burritos were the best I’ve had in a long time, and the special taco-of-the-day with the bleu cheese and Mountain Sauce was off the CHAIN. What’s in the Mountain Sauce? Who knows but it’s soooo awesome. Also: a ton of different hot sauces for you to choose and Shasta pop. This place is the BOMB. I’ve come out of Unilocal retirement to show some hybrid Korean-Mexican-Seattle burrito love for this place. Forget about eating in the lodge – overpriced cafeteria food! Go across the street next to the Chevron and visit Aardvark’s food trailer!

Hands down the best food on the mountain. Don’t let the little trailer fool you this place is the grub. Just had the ginger chicken burritos and they were amazing. As good as Marination Station but with some mountain soul. The food definitely has an Korean influence but is still unique. The owner Dave has been up at snoqualmie forever and knows the mountain like only a true local would. Skip the overpriced food at the lodge that has been sitting forever and just cross the street to the chevron station across from Summit West and go up the the trailer in the parking lot and let Dan hook you up. I hear really good stuff about his special blue cheese tacos.
