National School of Academic Equitation

I have been studying with Craig and Mary Anne at The National School of Academic Equitation for over four years now. My riding and my horses have improved more in the last four years studying with them then it has in fifteen years of riding before I started my studies with them. The kindness and gentleness that they use in training horses make the horses happy athletes that improve quickly. Since training with them my horses have become curious and excited to be ridden and worked with.
As for teaching riders Craig and Mary Anne have real answers to your riding questions and believe that any horse and rider can do upper level work. Before studying with them I always felt as though there was something missing in the instructing that I was getting through natural horsemanship. Now I feel like I have a much clearer understanding of how to communicate with horses and create a strong partnership with any horse. My riding has improved immensely since starting with them, I am now able to do upper level work, even on my 13.3 hand quarter horse cross pony.
I highly recommend studying at NSAE especially if you believe that horses should be trained through gentleness and kindness. I come all the way from Colorado to study with them as much as I possibly can because there is nowhere else in the world that you can get this level of precise in depth training for both riders and horses.
