Classic small town burger drive-in /thru. Came here during lunchtime on a Saturday for some burgers and fries. Ordered the King Charleys special with a side of fries and a milkshake. The burger is double pattied with all the classic fixings. The patties are delicious and filling themselves. Fries are crinkle cut and lightly salted. Loved that they had more options to dipping sauces than just ketchup. Milkshake was of course tasty. The lot is huge. Plenty of space for our ’93 Ford F150 to pull up at the order window and maneuver to the pick up window on the opposite side of the stand. We didn’t park and eat but if you wanted to there is plenty of space to do so. No marked parking spaces, just a huge lot. Staff had good customer service as well which is always appreciated. Conveniently located on highway 9. No fuss trying to find this place.

A local hometown favorites that has been around for as long as I have. Integrate greasy spoon style of drive thru will you pull up around one end of the building new order your food and I would highly recommend their shakes and then go around to the other side to cook the food. This isn’t your typical high class restaurant so don’t expect it to be something amazing or refined. But it is some damn good burgers and delicious fries. Whenever the holiday season is in I often will run past for a pumpkin pie milkshake or a eggnog milkshake. Its best when you can catch them both going so you can combine them into a super shake.

This is the place to go when you want to get away from whatever and enjoy a fresh, double-fisted burger and fries. I like the fact that I can watch my food being cooked and can taste the difference from any other place where they ‘…hoped you would arrive, I made your burger a few minutes ago…’ I also like that the place is mostly run by young people — who are friendly and seem to enjoy what they are doing. If you want a great burger and have a few minutes — you need to try this middle-of-nowhere, fishbowl-of-a-place.

We are from Texas and are very picky about burgers. If anyone has had a Whataburger burger, this is as close as there is in the area. We had the King Charley(not a mini patty like most places) and the fish and chips… both were excellent! We will be returning. If anyone complains about long wait(which we didn’t have), this is fresh made food and not previously cooked and stored in grease trays like McD. Go to McDonald’s if you want it fast.

I called ahead to clarify hours and was told they were one staff short. When I showed up they were packed and messed up our order. However, all staff retained their cool, stayed polite, and worked hard to make sure our order was just right.

There needs to be signs for which lane you order and which lane you pick up your food. I waited in the wrong line for way too long to just get behind two other cars. And the food was just okay.

Food is good. Wait is crazy long, a bunch of teens working… nice kids, but need to speak up when talking to customers. price is decent, cash or credit is accepted. Nice thing about the wait is it was sunny out:)

Pretty good Burgers and such, but the wait is incredibly long for a drive-up burger place, sad because a place with this locale could bank huge $$$$ with just a few minor management changes!

They are close by and I like supporting small business but they don’t have their act together. Went there and ordered three meals with onion rings(long wait) finally got our order and pulled away. Found that there were no onion rings just frys. That is the second time they have messed the order up. I won’t be back. Food is standard greasy comfort food, frys are unremarkable, no idea about onion rings because they can’t seem to serve me them when I order them.

Waited in the line for like 30+ minutes, by once we finally got our food it was pretty good.

RUDE!!! Aweful experience! Haven’t been here in more than 15 years. The guy taking orders was incredibly rude! We walked up instead of driving thru the drive thru since there was another family who had done the same. Apparently that is the wrong thing to do! We were yelled and and told that we had to wait behind everyone else, that we would not be allowed to cut in line. What?!? No one was trying to cut in line. He continued to yell at us as we tried to tell that no one was trying to cut in line. RUDE!!!

I would totally give this place a five star because their burgers and shakes are amazing. But every time we decide to go eat here the wait time is kinda long. But it’s totally worth it. If we didn’t have to wait as long I would totally rate them 5 stars. However I recommend this drive-in if your hungry for a burger and/or a shake :).

They don’t know how to not put cheese on a hamburger, no matter how many times you mention no cheese.

So so. Love the style and always happy to support a local business. But… the burgers are unremarkable. Onion rings blah. We skipped fries given earlier reviews. Shakes were fine. If you’re nearby and starving, fine. Otherwise keep driving

My son went there the other day, he used his debit card and signed it, handed it back to him. The clerk handed it back to him and demanded a tip. All they had at this point is just taken our order. Of course we took our receipt back and left. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Was very hesitant about going here. Read lots of neg reviews here. I have eaten here before with my kids but just ordered shakes & corn-dogs, hard to mess up. Today though we stopped by because it was the only place on the way to where we were going. The line of cars was 7 deep so we knew it might be a bit but we waited anyways. Glad we did… I love in-n-out burgers in California & this place has the closest tasting burger I have had to a double double from there. It was great. Not a huge fan of the fries but they were ok. The shakes were also good. The only reason for not getting 5 stars was due to the 30 minute wait. Will definitely be coming back :)

We were most likely the only customers of the day because this place is out in the middle of effing no where… Pretty annoying when we walk up and the only employee is out in the parking lot smoking a cigarette. We waited a couple mins. He definitely saw us and continued to smoke his cigarette and then pulled out his phone. So we left. Buh bye. Probably isn’t even that good anyway.

This place has an amazing burger! The staff is very upbeat and everything is made fresh! Their sauce is delicious and the milkshakes are some of the best around. Walk up or Drive though, you will not be disappointed!

I was very much looking forward to trying a small, local hamburger stand for something different from the usual. The location sits on a nice green way which provides for a somewhat scenic eating experience. The staff is friendly, quick and efficient. The cheeseburger was good, the sauce was tasty and the quality was of value for the price paid($ 2.80). The french fries are horrible, they are like the cheap OreIda ones you can buy from the frozen food section, and the serving size was very poor for the cost($ 2.00). The establishment only accepts cash, which for me is a red flag. Small businesses that only accept cash, use ancient registers with no receipts makes me curious if proper taxes are being paid(in no way saying they are not, just a concern). Overall, I would NOT return to this establishment. The overall experience does not justify the high prices and only decent food experience. The lights(florescent) at this establishment also had layers of dirt on them which is concerning because if this is the only sign of how clean the location is, makes me wonder what I can not see. In all, glad I gave this place a change but not even a ½ off coupon would get me back in line for King Charley’s.
