I’ve grown up in Machias and have been looking forward to going to Doc’s my whole life. I had my first time there tonight since turning 21 and had a total blast. The staff and patrons were kind and generous and made my night a total blast. We love the good times at Doc’s PYC!

Perfect place to stop in for a cold beer and relax. They only accept cash but there is an ATM there. I’ve always found the bartenders to be really friendly and personable. The best part, for me anyways, is the outside area, which is literally right next to the river, and the fire pit, which is going almost every time I’ve been in there. There is a Polar Bear jump every New Years Day that I would recommend everyone try, at least once. A lot of character and Snohomish history to this place.

My friend and I walked in and six creepy guys at the bar turned in unison and stared until we walked through the bar and out to the deck. All empty tables outside were covered in cigarette ash. The waitress was rude, confrontational and without personality. The feeling was, «This is a private party and you weren’t invited.» Cyclone fence between you and the river. When I paid for my beer, the waitress never returned the change; she just assumed it was a tip even though she was rude and unavailable. We didn’t order food because it was so dirty and unfriendly and they served hamburgers, hot dogs, frozen pizza and popcorn. This is the rudest, least friendly place I have ever been to. As we left all men at the bar turned in unison and stared at us until we were out the door. CREEPY.

Doc’s is what it is an old-timey no bullshit place. Cold beer no hard pops. 2 dollar Busch and PBR tall boys. It’s on the Pilchuck river and you can hang out in the back by the river. If you ask nice they will give you some bread to toss to(or at) all the fing Geese in the river. This place is a time warp as it would be exactly the same today as it was in 1973 and that’s a good thing.

All roads lead to the Pilchuck Yacht Club! Lounging on the river with an ice-cold PBR($ 2.50 a pint) in the summer or next to a warm wood-burn’ stove in winter. ’nuff said…

Super dive bar, no hard alcohol, only takes cash. Decent bar food and cheap beer 2 dollar PBR and Busch Lights. Nice relaxing place to watch some college football on the weekends. Wouldn’t try and party here but if your in the area not a bad spot to pre funk some beer. Parking can be a bitch if a lot of people are here.
