We bought a Groupon for an HVAC inspection and tune-​up after purchasing our first home. When I called Monroe H&AC to set up an appointment for the service, Omar asked if I was available later that day and came out a couple of hours later. Fast service! He used a compressor to clean out the furnace, replaced the filter, and told us about some broken ductwork and other repair needs. He seemed well-​versed in his profession and was pleasant and professional. We’ll definitely consider Monroe H&AC for our future HVAC needs.

I called Monroe on a Saturday morning after my a/​c stopped blowing cold air, and within 2 hours Omar showed up and was able to identify the problem. After a few pounds of coolant and a can of sealant, the air was blowing cold and he had fixed several older electrical components on my unit. Since my a/​c is so old, he also explained what the next issues might be and he gave me a quote for a new system. Great guy, very thorough and clarified everything as he was working.

I was very impressed with the service I received from Mr. Monroe. He came out on a Saturday afternoon (rare for some companies who are M-​F only). He was dressed well in his company t-​shirt and went right to work. He was kind enough to guide me through the repair process, showing me what he was doing and even helped my neighbour at no extra cost as we were experiencing some strange back ups in the air conditioner system. The process took about 2 hours total. I was more than pleased with the price and happily have his name on my fridge so I can call him twice a year for the regular maintenance that a Heating and Air Conditioning need. I wish he did plumbing, floor installment and other things. It’s rare to find people this pleasant with which to work.
Pros: Worked on the weekend, professional, didn’t overcharge or give some crazy rate. Allowed me to watch the process and was very patient as it was a very warm day and I had the air off while he worked (that was uncomfortable for all of us yet he worked right on through). Polite and quick to get the job done, didn’t leave a mess. He has a credit card machine on site so I didn’t have to run to an ATM or use a personal check.
Cons: I can’t find any… if I had to pick something it’s that he only does Heating and Air conditioning (and I think one or two other things, I can’t remember what he said exactly). People like this are the ones you want to call for ANYTHING. I wish he did flooring, plumbing and installation of just about anything because now I’m spoiled. I rather deal with him than any one else!
