Awesome bakery! I just had my daughters birthday cake made here and it was easy and was actually reasonably priced. Only problem was that I had no cake left over because it was such a hit, everyone ate it all! :)

My daughter ordered a variety of brownies for me for my birthday when she was away in El Paso and the bakery made suggestions to her over the phone and the bakery delivered the suggested ones to me on my birthday. The brownies were so delicious that I hated to finish or share them but the whole family expressed their positive delight. I also received red velvet cupcakes that were moist and scrumptious too.

Lizzie really helped me with my cake and bakery needs. We got the Carmel cake that was awesome and they let us sample stuff before we got there. Thank you, 5 stars!!!

Customer Service — right out the door. Have been a customer of this bakery for years. It appears they are in dire straights. After making a purchase less than $ 5 and paying w debit card, I was told there will be a $ 5 minimum on future purchases. So I made a trip to my car to get them cash. Asked them to credit my $ 2 purchase back. I was told we are a small business and struggling. Using Debit/Credit Cards cost them $$$. Understood. However I took offense to the owner/manager telling me about future purchases(with a twinge of hatefulness) as I have been a customer for as long as they have been in business. If using CC’s cost you $$$ then don’t accept them. Go cash only like more and more businesses are doing to keep the gov out of their pocketbooks. I left a $ 5 bill on the counter and vowed never to return, saying they needed the $$$$ it appears worse than me. Sad but true…

We paid Rhodes bakery for a cake for a 50th wedding anniversary. The lower tier of the cake was a pound cake… The driest cake I have ever had, no flavor and crumbling! Most everyone who had a piece of cake took one bite and left the rest on the table. We took some of the cake back Rhodes to see for themself and they said that the cake was fine. They made no effort to fix the situation, the bottom line is that we are the consumer and were not satisfied. I was a solid customer and this is the second bad review that I’ve seen from a person of color. Rhodes Bakery in Snellville has a problem with African American people. No more cakes from here.

Bill Rhodes bakery did my college graduation cake and they did a fabulous job! I graduated from Kennesaw State and our mascot is an owl. At first, my mom took the owl logo example up to Publix to see if they could make a cake, and they wouldn’t do the cake because it could be considered«copyright infringement». We went to Bill Rhodes experienced no problems, the cake was on time, delicious, and a huge hit at the party! Everyone kept asking who made the cake.

Very easy to work with in designing the look of the cakes. Matched the motifs perfectly and were willing to correct any problems. The cakes were delicious. I can’t say enough about how wonderful they were. I bought 3 cakes for an adult birthday: vanilla, chocolate and Italian Cream. They went very fast fast. Had a ton of compliments and questions on where I got them. Unfortunately for my husband, I didn’t have much left over!

This is the 2nd time I’ve ordered a cake from them. I live out of state so I worried about them getting it «just right» over the phone. Not only were they super nice, honest, and helpful but they have nailed it both times. When we come back to Atlanta for another event I will definitely call them again.

We’ve been getting cakes at Rhodes for over 25 years. Every member of our family get’s a cake from here on their birthday… it’s become a family tradition. They’re birthday cakes are amazing. The cake is always moist never dry and the icing you won’t find anything like it anywhere. The cake decorators are very creative, many times I’ve given them a theme and they come up with beautiful cakes. I decorate cakes myself as a hobby and trust me I’m very picky about what the cake looks and taste likes. Things to also try are their monster cookies(two chocolate chip cookies with icing in the middle) and their petifores(moist yellow cake with their icing glazed on top) both are amazing AMAZING! Rhodes bakery is by far the best bakery for wedding and birthday cakes out there!

I always buy special cakes here. They are the best. I would give them 5 stars except the prices are not listed on their cakes and I never know what I’ll pay for the one I choose. I’m willing to roll that dice again though I wish I knew in advance how much of my gas money I’d be spending.

First time here and bought the Pumpkin Bread, a Fruitcake and their famous cheese cookie thingies and I really liked all but the cheese cookie thingies since they where REALLYSALTY(YUCK)! The Pumpkin Bread is simply fantastic as it is bursting with flavor and moistness! And dare I say that they have some of the BEST Fruitcake next to my Grandmother’s recipe of course. Overall, what I bought was mostly good stuff but very PRICEY as the Pumpkin Bread cost me $ 8.00: the Fruitcake which is the size of the Pumpkin Bread was $ 20.00(OUCH): the Cheese cookie thingies where $ 6.00. My grand total for the three items plus tax hit $ 36.04 and although I really like the Pumpkin Bread and Fruitcake, I honestly can’t say I would buy again for the money; OK, I would sell my first child for the Pumpkin Bread alone… it is really good! Of note: None of the items where pre-priced or even displayed with any prices, so I was a bit shocked at the total; yes, I should have asked for item prices before making my purchase, but the staff was VERY busy so I didn’t want to put stuff back after they where rung up. Live and learn.

Went back to Rhodes and tried the pumpkin loaf, fabulous texture, moist and the topping was a crumble mixture with ci namon and nutmeg! I might add Rhodes petit fors are the best I have ever had I will always be a fan!

Yummy in my tummy. We ordered some custom shugar cookies for my son’s first birthday party from Bill Rhodes Bakery. The salesperson carefully went over the design with us to make sure she understood everything we wanted: sky blue glaze, white scripted ‘B’, sugar cookie, 3 dozen. The cookies were ready on time for pickup and were solidly packed for transport. They were moist, delicious and maintained their level of quality several days later after the party. Extra bonus — the bakery said they made a few extra in case we broke any so we ended up with 40 instead of 36.

I love this Rhodes Bakery as it reminds me of the original place. They have never gotten an order wrong and their icing and fondant are wonderful. When you go in, it is very hard not to get everything, including those melt-in-your-mouth petifores! The girls who work there are super sweet and so are the two women who own it now.

I make sure I get my birthday cake here every year. One year I got a Publix Cake and I was MAD. The icing is like nothing I’ve ever tasted before, its so light and GOOD. I love this place. The petifores are also AWESOME. I love this place.

I was not impressed. The apple fritter was stale, the cheesecake brownie tasted old. Maybe the cakes taste better, but I’m not willing to take the chance. There are too many good bakeries around(Southern Sweets– my personal favorite, Highland Bakery, Alon’s, Atlanta Cupcakes) for me to try this one again.

There’s nothing like a mom and pop bakery located inside a cute little cabin style house off a main highway. This isn’t your publix bakery it’s your grandma’s kitchen. They can custom make beautiful and delicious cakes for all occasions. They have some pre-made cakes if you are in a pinch and they are sure to be a hit. I love that they serve tons of individual sized treats too, like delicious frosted sugar cookies(seasonal shapes — flowers, hearts, butterflies, pumpkins, etc), petit fours, cup cakes(mmm, red velvet cake), cannolis, danishes, standard chocolate chip cookies, muffins, mini cream pies(chocolate, coconut, key lime)…the list goes on and on. The prices are low and everything is super yummy. For about $ 5 you can walk out with a box of treats, a huge smile and enough chubbin’ goodness to add a pound or so to that chizzled body.
