Generally just another Holiday Inn but the WIFI service is Terrible … Consider it unusable, and phone reception not the best either and some of the rooms smell of masked previous smokers rooms unless that’s the cleaning scent they choose(Ode to a barfly) but rooms were clean and people were friendly. I’ve stay here twice due to other choices were grim.

My wife and I stayed here on the 21st and 22nd of December for a little get away before the big stress of Christmas. The rooms were very clean, the staff was super nice! Could not have ask for a better place. Of course there were very few people here this time of the year, so it was nice and quite. We came and went as we pleased, walked on the near by beachs and spent the days relaxing in the nice North Carolina weather.(It just so happen to be 70 + degrees the whole time we were here! Unheard of!) Great place, will come again!

The stay itself was 3 stars, but I’m giving the extra star to the super sweet lady that worked in the dining room during breakfast. We checked into the hotel on the evening of Nov. 1 and checked out on Nov. 3. We chose this hotel because of the proximity between Camp Lejeune and Wilmington. My brother was getting deployed out on his second tour of Afghanistan so we came down to say good bye to him. Since we were already in this neck of the woods, we decided to tour Wilmington as well. The rate that we paid was about $ 100 per night less than what we would have paid if we stayed in Wilmington. The hotel room itself was cleaned and the bed was comfortable. The downside was that if your neighbors closed their doors loudly, you can hear it as well as anyone talking outside in the hallway. The staff was responsive to my request to change one of the lightbulbs because it blew out. The breakfast that they offered was okay. The lady who worked in the dining area during my stay was extremely sweet and friendly hence the extra star.

Nothing special about this place outside of proximity to the Camp Lejeune if you’re visiting or working there. The staff is accommodating and friendly, free wifi, Holiday Inn breakfast and a bed. I give it 3-stars b/c there’s nothing better around and you have a golf course on the left and the beach about 1.5 miles to the right. No gym so prepare to either run or do a hotel workout.

I was disappointed with our annual week stay at this Holiday Inn Express. The Bad — We were charged peak season rates as our stay was mid September, but the hotel was going thru down season renovations the entire time.(Workers hanging wallpaper in our corridor, cluttering hall with ladders, tools and themselves.) Our room had a funky smell the entire time, The air condition unit was cracked and NOISEY and questionable whether it was doing its job when we did have it on. The ceiling had cracks and major water stains. The carpet was stained and even had a remnant of a prior visitors tissue just under the edge of the bed the entire time. The complimentary breakfast was good depending on which employee was staffing it. The first several days were great, the last three you would think the food budget was coming directly from the employees paycheck as they didn’t want to put out hot food and started taking in items from the refrigerator(yogurt, milk, etc.) 15 –20 minutes before the end serving time. The last three days we were even lucky to get a cup of coffee one hour before the end of breakfast time. The lady working the kitchen was grouchy about having to make another pot of decaf. Beyond the hotels control our room was EXTREMELYNOISEY! My husband asked at check-in if we were next to the ice machine because his experience is, that can be a bothersome noise. No, we were next to the door at the end of the hallway. All night long people would come and go and our room would shake with the bang, rattle and roll. We also heard the slamming of doors up and down the hallway. On the third day the family across the hall from us checked out and we sighed with relief that things may quiet down. Not so, the next night the party was in the room next to us, followed by a late all night crying frenzy of one adult female. The Good– The hotel is located convenient to visitng family who reside outside the back gate of Camp LeJeune USMC Base. Half of the employees at this Holiday Inn are wonderful, just wish they could work all week. We were able to get Handicap parking next to the front door every time we returned to the hotel. The beds were comfortable, the refrigerater in the room was cold, and the bathroom was well stocked on a regular basis with clean towels, shampoo and soap. Yes, we’ll return on our annual visit to Sneads Ferry as this is a much better location than Jacksonville, NC.

A beautiful Holiday Inn Express located on a Golf Course. Stayed here on 5÷4÷12. Warm and cozy Southern Hospitality, new appearing facility with every amenity known to this type of chain hotel. Good, hot breakfast. Just what we were looking for on our last night in NC.

Stayed here on business. It is likely the only decent accomodations in Sneads Ferry. They have free breakfast and a the staff is friendly. Free wifi too. My room was always clean, but there are not a lot of bells and whistles. Just a good place to put your head down at night. No workout room.

Probably the worst Holiday Inn we’ve ever stayed at. We stayed here while house hunting before moving down to the Sneads Ferry area in November 2009. The rooms are circa 1970 it seems, the paint is peeling off the walls, and the cielings have water stains. The walls are paper thin, the beds are like sleeping on rocks, and the rooms smell musty. They advertise that you can walk to the beach from the hotel, however, I don’t think a 2 mile walk over a highrise bridge with no sidewalk is very safe! When we have family come to visit, they rent a condo on the beach to avoid staying here. I wouldn’t go back if you paid me!
