My family loves this shop! We’ve enjoyed a variety of baked goods, including a custom birthday cake that we ordered last summer for a birthday, and everything has been delicious.

stopped in last night after dining at The Inn at Duck Creek. Sales girl was very welcoming and offered samples… she knew what she was doing. We walked out with three loaves of bread. I highly recommend the chocolate loaf and the sourdough bread. The overall appearance is very clean and beautifully renovated. We will be back.

As a worm-like creature struggles to emerge from the chrysalis and become a butterfly(or a moth), Smyrna’s downtown is slowly renovating itself, store by store. The Drunk’n Baker is the latest store to receive the treatment, with a tasteful brick exterior(and, it appeared, renovated apartments above) that promised a rather upscale interior. The coffee shop inside was, indeed, clean and chic. I had a chicken salad sandwich(with croissant, not bread) and tea. While the tea was delightful, even a bit of black pepper seemed a too racy for this demure chicken salad, which was fairly bland. It was, however, reasonably priced, so the value was right. I wasn’t exactly dying to go back, but I would stop here again, were I in the area for a morning meeting.

The girl working was friendly, informative and very pleasant. I loved the whole appearance of this place from the outside all the way in to the warm and inviting ambiance inside. The product was less then average unfortunately. I personally like box and store bought cake but once I bit into this cupcake it crumbles worse then cornbread. On a good note the frosting had nice flavor. But good frosting will never make up for bad cake. I would definitely give this place a try again but it will not be for a cupcake or cake.

The sweet treats here are delicious! Customer service could be better but that hasn’t deterred me from coming. I love they’re croissants and sometimes they have bacon cupcakes! To die for.

I just went and had a business lunch with a coworker here. They had $ 5 lunch specials. I had a chicken salad sandwich and my coworker had the sloppy joe. Both were DELICIOUS. And they had a blueberry sweet tea that hit the spot! Definitely going back !

My husband and I were disappointed with the cupcakes we bought from there. They were dry.

I got 6 cupcakes about 2 weeks from Drunk’n Bakery, they were very tasty. On Sunday I sent my daughter to get me 3. They were very stale. The cake was so crumbly I could not eat it. Money down the drain.

Spacious shop with a fair bit of seating. Loads of selection. The cupcakes would be better if the same amount of time and attention went into the baked goods as goes into the liquor infused icing concoctions. The buffalo chicken salad is delicious

I live just down the street, and was so excited to see a downtown bakery opening up! They did a beautiful job on the building, the doors alone are gorgeous, inside is modern, sleek, and welcoming, with plenty of seating and windows looking out on the four corners. The young people behind the counter are friendly, helpful, and courteous. I love that this bakery uses liquor from another local business, The Painted Stave distillery just down the street, to infuse many of its decadent creations! Get a frequent visitor card for great discounts(and a convenient excuse to come more often), follow them on Facebook to see what they’re offering each day and catch special deals. I love that they change up their items constantly, so every time you go in, it’s a new selection of deliciousness to choose from! Their cupcake icings are insanely good, and keep an eye out for the Time Warp Espresso Truffles(made with vodka from Painted Stave!)!!

A group of 5 of us, all across the country and in England, wanted to send a birthday cake to a friend’s 7 year old daughter. Our friend recently had foot surgery and was upset about not being able to provide the proper birthday. I called Drunk’n Baker and they were extremely kind and professional. Plus, you know that you’re getting a freshly baked cake and icing made from scratch, with the option of natural icing color. It was only $ 4 more for a half sheet cake than the supermarket down the road, and you KNOW the supermarket uses frozen cakes and ready-made icing. We sent our friend some My Little Pony cake toppers, and the entire experience was just magical for all of us. Please call these folks and visit them often. They’re the best.

Took a side trip today and stumbled upon this hidden gem of a bakery. The revitalized exterior is done beautifully while still preserving the historic charm. We stepped inside to an open but quaint bakery with the friendliest staff who immediately greeted us. I asked if there were any recommendations and while the owner described them I secretly wished for a bite of each and every one. The flavor combinations are not ordinary and some pair unique boozy flavor combinations. This is not any ordinary bakery. We sampled the blueberry croissant and a Chocolate Jack Daniels cupcake. All I can say is excellent and I could have ordered 2 more. I spied a beautiful blueberry cobbler and Chocolate cream pie too. Everything looks delicious and they make breads. I recommend you get there early because they have such unique offerings that sell out quickly. The owners are a mother daughter duo who are so friendly. The daughter is a trained pastry chef who also does beautiful custom cakes, wedding cakes too. They also plan to expand their menu in a while. I can’t wait to return. The owner mentioned a Facebook page too.

Been here twice. So far everything I’ve tried has been really good. Chocolate croissants are very good as are scones. Staff is very nice both times. Definitely will go back. Need to try their coffee next time!

I’m gonna keep this one short and sweet. If nothing else, go for the coffee. It’s awesome. So far we’ve tried just about everything and have liked it all and loved most of it. Great service, great prices, and tasty treats. Check it out.

This is a new start up bakery in Smyrna. I have been hearing about it for weeks because my sis lives around the corner. The coffee was great and so was the chocolate croissant. The oatmeal cream pie cupcake was good. Prices are very reasonable, $ 3.00 for a cupcake and large coffee. $ 2.50 for a chocolate croissant. As with most startups, the service is a little slow, and they sell out of a lot of things very quickly. I am very excited for another new business to come to Smyrna! It is an adorable little town that has a lot of potential. Make sure to visit Painted Stave two blocks to the west, across from the fire station. The Drunken Baker uses some of their liquors in the pastries and desserts!

I recently received a gift certificate for The Drunk’n Baker which just recently opened up in Smyrna, Delaware. On the day I am writing this review, I’ve been there twice and have enjoyed every item that I’ve purchased. The interior is open and welcoming with beautiful wooden floors and baking tools and trinkets lining the ledges of the large windows that look out on the street. There are a few cases of baked goods both refrigerated and not. From memory they had the following available both times that I was there: croissants, scones, cookies, cupcakes, muffins, pie, quiche, bagels, bread, rolls, and doughnuts. It seems each day they have different types of everything listed but some of the same types were there both times. My family has tried cupcakes, scones, cupcakes, and cookies, all of which have tasted great. The stars are the two croissants(chocolate and blueberry) and the scone(maple bacon). The croissants are so flaky and don’t skimp on the fillings. The scone had a great balance of bacon and maple flavor and wasn’t dry like they are at most places. Frankly, I tend not to order scones out because it’s hard to find good ones. The homemade frostings(chocolate, vanilla, and cookies & cream) for the cupcakes we have tried were delicious. We look forward to trying the bagels and hope they replace our current favorite place since they are much closer to home. What we appreciate about The Drunk’n Baker the most is that they actually make everything that they serve; which is more than other bakeries in the state can say. Smyrna specifically was in desperate need of a good bakery because the stuff at the local grocery stores is just reheated garbage or frozen cakes slathered with icing bought by the tub. We hope as time goes on that more any more people become aware of this little gem in the heart of Smyrna so we can continue to get great baked goods for years to come.

Ordered 16 oz coffee, chocolate croissant, mudslide cupcake, vanilla cupcake with chocolate icing. Interior inviting. Entrance/steps area is tiny. No posting on whether credit or debit accepted. Service was a little slow but that may improve in time. Chocolate croissant was good. Mudslide cupcake was a little on the sweet side. Vanilla cupcake was dry. Cupcakes were small. Total came to under $ 6.00 which seemed fair. This is a nice place to order and social. Impressed there are array of beverages available. Stock was low in the cases however. I visited close to noon so was expecting a fully stocked bakery.
