Steak ‘n Shake

gosh! Even at nite this place stinks. (service etc.)
We walked into this location and walked right back out. Almost every table was dirty and there were only 2 girls working the floor.
The manager says that the are going to be some changes on the way. WHEN?
No matter what time of the day you come in this restaurant the service sucks.

I came to this location while visiting my mom in Marietta. I was starving after a two-​hour drive from Chattanooga and it was past 11PM, so not much was open. To our delight, Cece was our server and she was an absolute sweetheart. She was perfectly attentive and upbeat. I was very much impressed with the quality of service. The food was good too, but Steak N Shake’s food quality seems to relatively stay the same. Cece went the extra mile to make sure our visit was satisfactory. We will definitely be back to visit. Thank you, Cece!

This is the SLOWEST SnS drive thru I have EVER experienced. The inside service is ok and the food is typical SnS so all that’s fine but just skip the drive thru. I stopped by just before 3pm today (so not a super busy time) to grab a late lunch. The line wasn’t very long at all so I hoped that meant it wouldn’t move at the rate of a turtle with granny boobs driving a Buick like it normally does. I got behind the car in front of me who was sitting at the speaker waiting to place her order. Waited, waited, waited… the woman in front of me was trying to talk to the speaker to no avail. The employee (female) had spoken through and asked her to hold on. FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER (yes, really 15… I took note of the exact time) I finally left. I’m not sure why I even waited that long. I guess I kept hoping that the employee would be back to take her order but it never happened. She was still sitting there after I left. She must have wanted a steak burger way worse than I did.
I’ll never come to this one again. The food’s not good enough to compensate for the TERRIBLE service. I guess SnS can afford to pay their employees to not do jack squat and run off good customers.

The women at the speaker on may 22 around 323pm Sunday was very rude and snappy. Her customer service skills are horrible and she didn’t want to be at work. If I felt these negative vibes so have other folks! I’ll never come to this s&s again. #ever #getto #alllivesmatter

WOW — I did the Steak n Shake drive thru for a craving of onion rings. I added Oreo mint chip shake too. I have NOTHING nice to say so I’ll summarize… AWFUL SERVICE, cold onion rings and an abundance of ATTITUDE from a drive thru cashier.
I left with a refund from a manager. Skip this place.
Lots of advertisements and flyers to entice people in but maybe they should work on hiring & educating their staff with decent fast food.

The burgers are Steak ‘n Shake are just «okay» and the fries are «meh.» However, the shakes they have are ginormous and come in all kinds of crazy flavors. This is their only saving grace, that plus they are open at all hours of the night. However, the wait time is terrible, even when no one else is in the restaurant. One two occasions the waiters randomly disappeared and never came back, leaving us to get up and tell the cashier everything we ordered so we could pay. So crazy.

I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN! After spending about 30 minutes in a drive thru to receive such a sub par meal was absolutely ridiculous! I’ve heard so much about this place and always seen it driving around but I’m now regretting the fact that I even started. I really don’t see the hype about these burgers nor was it worth the wait! Not sure if they were short staffed or if they just move slow but the customer service was awful as well. Why didn’t I use the Unilocal application and do some more research about this place before I decided to give in a try, I got one of these Butter burgers of some sort and it was so sorry. I won’t be returning!

This place the food is good but they need more servers!!! It’s only one guy working outside and they have five cook?!? He needs more help other than that it’s a nice place to eat!

Went to grab and Frisco melt and onion rings tonite. Drive thru was about 15 cars long but it’s always worth the wait… except tonite. My Frisco melt was supposed to have 2 patties. It only had one and looked hastily slapped together. Disappointed.

Management at this place needs to change. Every time I come here I have to wait 10 minutes for a cashier so I can pay my bill. The wait staff is great and food is great but having to wait so long just to pay the bill because the cashier is outside yapping on her cell phone is unacceptable.

I know what it’s like to work fast food. Low wages, sometimes people who don’t care about their job, etc. The drive through took about 5 minutes per car — not exaggerating. And I ordered the chicken finger meal — which btw doesn’t look like the picture. They gave me two ½ chicken fingers and I was so disappointed. And hungry. And frustrated. I have had great experiences at other steak and shakes but this one… eat beforehand… it’s going to be a while.

Every time my husband and I come here, they always mess up our order! Normally the customer service is terrible, but every once in a while you’ll find a gem of a server. We waited 45 minutes before my husband asked the manager what was going on, and where was our food. As the manager responded that he would look into it, then a few minutes later walked by, my husband tried to speak to him again, and the manager PAUSED HIM, he literally put his hand up to get him to stop talking. Talk about poor customer service. Also, our waiter had poor hygiene, with his nails being super long.

Slow, filthy, and just not worth the time. Oh the best part is the last time I ever went to this steakburger/​milkshake restaurant they had no shakes. None. Zero. Nada.

The worst Steak ‘n Shake I’ve ever been to. I don’t know why I keep giving it a chance. Just went and waited for 30 minutes before we got up and left because no waiter ever came to take our order. Ridiculous.

Never worth the wait. Placing your car in park while you wait in the drive-​thru for 45 minutes is standard practice; expect longer wait times if there are more than four cars in line.
On the bright side, some of the food can be great, although the quality is not consistent and you may occasionally experience negative physical effects afterward.

30min drive through… seriously… Specially with only 5 cars in front? Its called fast food.
I called the 1 – 800 number on the receipt and told them about the bad Unilocal reviews to make sure they know i am not alone. I love steak and shake and this one is so close… help me make sure corporate knows that this one is not operating as it should!

Consistently slow service. Food arrived barely warm after a lengthy wait. Restaurant was not busy. Par for the course.

Sorry, but how can you say you don’t make shakes because you don’t have a shake person? That’s really not acceptable service.

Since the Marietta Diner was closed, I went here hoping for the best, and it was ok, but a bit on the slow side.
