The food is pretty authentic at this place and the flavors are genuine. I had buffet and a few dishes reminded me of home cooked food. The butter chicken was bursting with flavors and is a must try! The variety in the buffet is pretty impressive, there aren’t too many items to choose from but the variety of taste thats offered is great !

I was visiting Atlanta for a short business trip. I found this place on Google. They have good vegetarian Thali, loved it. Reasonable price too. The quantity was good enough for one person. I can come back any time.

Delicious food, nice staff. Good selection of dishes. Portions could be a little bit bigger for the price, but overall decent. I haven’t tried the buffet going to go back and give it a whirl.

Continues to be our favorite Indian restaurant. The butter chicken is the best! Everything we order is wonderful and full of spices. The garlic naan is delicious and the chicken soup with a touch of cilantro is yummy! We just can’t get enough of this restaurant.

Best Indian lunch buffet in NWATL. Butter chicken and goat curry are staples but entire other extensive menu changes daily. Always interesting and delicious. Was long-time Swapna denizen but Mint Leaf is my new Indian BFF!

Many mistakes at dinner last night. Went here with my mom, we’re visiting from out of state for a convention and were craving Indian food. Mint had 4 stars so we were interested to try it out. Lunch we ordered for take out — 2 parathas and chili idli. Pretty impressed with lunch so we decided to go there and sit down for dinner. Ordered 1 non veg thali to share(I was going to take the chicken dishes and mom was going to have the vegetarian). My mom has been vegetarian all her life. We also ordered Rasam for her. First it took them over 30 min just to bring out the papad and chutney. Then when we asked if we can have the Rasam they said it’s canceled. Thanks for telling us before deciding on your own to cancel something we ordered. Didn’t even bother to ask if we want something else. Some customer service. We then ordered VEGETARIAN corn soup. Told one guy, who told another guy, who asked us twice if we wanted vegetarian. Then a different guy came to ask what we’re waiting on and we told him vegetarian soup again. Out comes the food and finally soup — 40ish minutes after we sat down. Mom took a sip and realized it was chicken. Yes they apologized but then the bill came with both the Rasam and Soup added on. They removed it with no issues but there is a serious lack of customer service. And the food didn’t sit well the next morning. Taste was average for Indian food. Not amazing not terrible.

5 stars come seldom from me but this one surely deserves it. The Good — Food ! Absolutely delicious with just the right amount of spices. Remember that the chef is Goan and has a touch of Goa in all his dishes. Do ask for Goan dishes which are made to order and not mentioned in menu. Mango lassi is a delight. Paneer Korma has genuine paste of Cashews instead of cream added by most Indian restaurants. Visited this place twice within my 3 days visit to Vinings, didn’t try the buffet though. Service — Far better than the most Indian restaurants visited by me. It’s quick and friendly. The Bad — Nothing, it’s just a little far from the Atlanta city but a must visit place if you’re near by and like Indian food. The Ugly — Absolutely nothing ! Verdict — Highly recommended to everyone who likes Indian food !

We tried the lunch buffet here which was average. The dishes that stood out were the goat curry, tandoori chicken and chole. Basically the place is good for north India dishes. South India food was not that good. The buffet itself had a lot of variety in terms of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. They had puris and dosas with upma, sambar and coconut chutney. Dessert section had gulab jamun, ice cream and fruit cream. There was no raita or cured with biryani which was odd.

I have visited various Indian restaurant around this area. I really like restaurants who provide the authentic flavours of India where you get reminded of home. We have frequented this place often and this place is best for its Indian authentic flavours. Better than any restaurants in the area. It is kind of a hidden Jem inside the complex where Num Dae Mun market is present.

Mint Leaf Indian Cuisine took over the place of Taj Biryani Indian Cuisine in the Nam Dae Mun Farmers Market, the Cobb International market, off Spring Road. I am not a fan of Swapna and Sri Krishna Vilas is now replaced by Wild Roots of India. I wanted to check out Mint Leaf Indian Cuisine. The setup is the same as Taj Biryani Indian Cuisine but had more choices at the buffet. They brought out fresh naan to the table just like when it was Taj Biryani Indian Cuisine. I got my usual tandoori chicken, chicken 65, and butter chicken. It was flavorful but not my favorite. The tandoori chicken was a little undercooked. Chicken 65 was alright, it wasn’t crispy like how I liked, it’s made the way I do which means it’s unsuccessful in texture that I couldn’t get right but it was still good. Desserts were only the mixed fruits. I wish there was kheer. Overall, it’s tasty but I have to keep it in Gwinnett or Decatur for Indian food for my taste buds.

A great and authentic place. The food was a excellent and a good value. They had a very large and diverse menu. My dinner companion is a vegetarian and I am a meat lover. We were both happy. They served beer and wine. The wine they had was kinda lousy, but hard to expect a lot from a people that don’t drink alcohol. Eat hear for the food not the booze.

Came here for the lunch buffet($ 11.99 + tax) and was impressed. It wasn’t super busy(maybe 6 tables were full) but their service was really good. They came by clearing plates and refilling water frequently. I had some of the best seasoned tandoori chicken. Their chicken curry was super spicy and their naan was a bit on the buttery side(I have no idea if they had butter in there or not) but it was still really good. They have about 8 – 9 different vegetarian curries with goat cheese being the highlight of those. Then they have a lot of chicken and goat curries. I much preferred the tandoori chicken, chicken curry, and pepper chicken. They also have salad and cantaloupe on the side.

We don’t usually go out to Indian food places coz we can make them at home. However, the Unilocal reviews of this place figuratively forces us to go! The other Indian food in the area was swapna and so the comparisons are natural. Although the experience was extremely poor and the food was not that great at swapna, mint leaf was different. The lunch buffet was extensive and the non-veg North Indian dishes were really good. Dessert section was not elaborate, but the human jamuns were very home made and the fruit ice cream went brilliantly with it. Although the place is great for North Indian food, for South Indian food it’s lacking. chutney and sambhar are not up there(I dont want to say it) but swapna is better for South Indian food. Overall good experience but décor nothing to write home about and it won’t get a second visit from us.

Came here with my husband and toddler for the lunch buffet around 2 pm on a Tuesday fully knowing that the buffet ended at 2:30. We were wary wondering how much food would be left 30 minutes before ending and if it would be worth the $ 9.99 per person. We were pleasantly surprised that the buffet was still full and that the staff was still refilling the food. We ate so many delicious dishes, though they all seemed to be on the spicy side, even things that typically are on the mild side at other Indian restaurants. This is not a restaurant located in an area I frequent often but if I find myself in the area during lunch hours, I would definitely come back again.

So there I was… finished with my softball practice and craving Indian food. I took a quick through Unilocal to find something close with decent reviews. It is in the same plaza as a decent farmers market. This place was packed! I had the buffet. It was loaded with many types of flavorful dishes. It had many vegetarian options and then at the end they had meat. The paneer was perfect in my opinion. Nice spice levels. I loved the tomato chutney and raita sauce as well. I wanted to take a few pictures, but I didn’t want to be that guy just then. My server was very fast to clear the plates and fill my water. I will definitely come back.

I was somewhat unsure about trying this place, however my gf and I ended up rather impressed with the value, portion, and quality of the food. It’s such a crap shoot trying out places in random strip malls, and I was glad our gamble turned out positively. It’s actually one of the best Indian food places I’ve been to in Metro Atlanta, and has a more authentic menu in comparison to competitors like Hyderbadi dishes. Our paneer cheeser appetizer was amazing — soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, great texture, and coated in a beautiful sauce. My gf’s chicken korma wasn’t too heavy with cream with a good a quantify of tender chicken. My Northern Indian chicken dish, was good, very savory and flavorful, but very heavy on rice in relation to protein. Overall it was good and the riata was a nice complement to the dish. You do get a lot of food too, and while I can eat a lot, most dishes are probably good enough to two people, especially the rice dishes. You won’t go hungry.

Was headed for the big Asian market on Spring Road when I saw this tiny little Indian restaurant with a «buffet» sign out front in the same strip mall as the market. I’m not usually a fan of buffets(mainly for cleanliness reasons, but also because sometimes the food sits too long or just doesn’t seem as though it is as good as items ordered individually off a menu), but I have been craving good Indian food and thought it would be a good way to try several different things. First of all, this place was CLEAN… squeaky clean… the tables/seating and the buffet itself. Not a drop spilled that wasn’t cleaned up immediately! We could partially see into the kitchen and what we could see was also spotless. That is a huge plus for me. All the other customers appeared to be Indian… also a good sign. The buffet is very, very large… stretches the entire length of one wall. Probably about a half dozen meat dishes(chicken and goat) and the rest vegetarian. Although it had the expected tandoori chicken and chicken tikka, it also had a LOT of stuff I had never tried before. They bring you a big basket of nice, fluffy, warm naan to the table. We just asked for water to drink and they were extremely good about keeping our glasses filled and any dirty plates or utensils removed immediately… and yet I never noticed them doing it!!! It was like they were invisible! I can’t eat a lot in one sitting, so I was taking tiny amounts of a variety of dishes so I could try a variety. The chicken tikka was amazing… can’t say much else about it! The tandoori chicken also very good. They had some vegetable-balls that I had never had before and they were melt in your mouth delicious. Also had a chopped vegetable dish that they served with a roll that was delicious(hhhmmmm…I’m running out of adjectives). There was a sautéed vegetable dish that was spicy, but so good you just wanted to keep going back for more! There were also fruits and salads and sauces. They had a plain rice and a veggie rice, both good. There was not a single thing that wasn’t just heaven. My only problem was that although they have signs with the names of the different dishes on the buffet… there was no explanation of what the dishes were. In other words, giving me the Indian name for a dish did not help me in deciding if it was something I wanted to try… or even give me an idea of what might be included in the dish or whether or not it was mild or spicy. Made me a little nervous about trying some items that I wasn’t familiar with(I am NOT an adventurous eater… I want to know what it is!). I tried asking one of the staff, but his accent was SO strong that I had no clue what he was saying, although he was trying his best to try to explain to me what was in a specific dish. On a side note, I also placed an order for Samosas… they are not included on the buffet, but I cannot go into an Indian restaurant without having them. They were delicious… filled with peas and potatoes and a wonderful crispy, perfectly fried dough. There was a tamarind sauce on the buffet, so I was in Samosa heaven. All in all, it will be my go-to place for Indian food for the foreseeable future! I highly recommend it!

I had goat chetinnad for dinner yesterday, and all I have to say is that it hit the sweet spot. I was able to make it to the dinner servings yesterday, I picked mint based on Unilocal rating. Boy those ratings were correct. I started with pakoras as appetizers, it was good, tasted good. Goat chetinnad was the best! It was made with some roasted spices which kindled back some childhood memories of my grandma’s cooking. This is the first time I have experienced that taste here in the States. The entrée comes with rice, but I highly doubt that it will fill you up. I recommend getting one of their breads(rotis or naans). I got chappathis which was very soft and yum. Dessert gulab jamun was okay. My service was fine, talked with owner to give compliments to chef on the recipe. You can’t expect more from an Indian restaurant, we are getting there slowly and steadily regarding customer service. For all those who complaint about service, please learn to treat your waiters as human beings and your attitude will be returned. I heard that their biriyani is good as well, I will check that out when I’m here next time.

I along with my homie ordered carry out from here on Monday and we were very impressed. A nice Indian cuisine with great customer service. The owner engaged in conversation as we browsed the menu and might I add, the menu provided a wide selection. I ordered the chicken vindaloo. I dunno y I told him to make it xtra spicy, but the meal was great. While waiting on our food, we were given free appetizers to taste. I highly recommend this place so far. I will be going back again. This was a very welcoming restaurant with excellent customer service and food.

This place is probably one of the most authentic Indian places I’ve been to. I went for dinner on a Thursday night so had to order from their regular menu. The place had a very nice ambiance. There were lots of places to sit and the restaurant was very spacious. Their menu has a wide selection. The small problem we encountered was the service. The server talked in a very low monotone voice which made it hard to comprehend what he was saying. He also could not understand some of the questions we had about the food So other than the small misunderstanding in ordering, everything was amazing. Will definitely come back for that curry and tikka masala!

Came for the lunch buffet. Indian buffet’s are my weakness. At one point I’m certain the server thanked me — assuming I was leaving– and was then shocked at my return to the buffet for another go-around. I can’t do a lot well, but I can eat. Seemed clean. Food was really great– and not all the typical chana masala or gobi blah blah… the food was unique and delicious. The only reason I dropped my rating down from 5 to 4 stars was simply because the food wasn’t super hot. After my first round I learned to stir it up and go for the food closest to the heat. Will def be returning. Oh and a side note, this parking lot is terrifying. No one follows any sort of driving rules and just weaves around everywhere. Attend Indian buffet place with caution.

I went to Mint Leaf for the second time today. The first time was for dinner, my sister ordered chicken tikka masala and I had the palak paneer(or saag paneer). She had nothing but great things to say about her dish but we both agreed the palak paneer was THEBEST we have ever had! Including our childhood growing up in Southeast Asia. Today we went to the lunch buffet which was equally if not more impressive. A wonderful selection of veggie options and just as many meat options. Every single item I put on my plate was exceptional and I couldn’t help but go back for seconds. The service was fantastic and the restaurant is beautiful and very clean. We’ll definitely be back to mint leaf for many more lunches and dinners

I’ll preface by saying that the Indian cuisine is probably above all my favorite. I’ve eaten at several Indian restaurants over the years and I place this one among the best. The vegan options are plentiful and outstanding. I ALWAYS judge an Indian restaurant by how good the carrot halwa is and theirs is fantastic! Not too sweet. Can still taste carrots instead of sugar. Service is about as good as a buffet style setup can be. They bring out a basket full of fresh naan and water once you are seated. I liked that this place had several dishes that I had never tried before, which is exciting because I thought I had tried them all! Makes me curious about what they’ll offer next. I usually frequent Sri Krishna’s because I love the food there but the lunch buffet here is about 4 dollars cheaper and the wait staff is MUCH better than Sri Krishna’s. Come check this place out. You won’t regret it!

We have eaten at most of the Indian restaurants that are scattered in various places around the Atlanta area and Mint Leaf, formerly known as Taj Biryani, is the only place we go to now when craving Indian cuisine. The inside of the restaurant is clean and spacious. The food, especially the lunch buffet, is extraordinary. They are not afraid to serve dishes at an authentic level of spiciness, and as far as the service goes, Nelson is absolutely the best, most conscientious server I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They never let your glass of water run dry and are always willing to go above and beyond normal expectation for us. We have tried a great variety of the menu selections and everything has been wonderful, but we highly recommend the Biryani Specialties, the Goat Curry, Butter Chicken, and the Chana Bhatura. The next time you want Indian, give Mint Leaf Indian Cuisine a try. You won’t be disappointed.

«Meh. I’ve experienced better.» The good: service was quite efficient. There was plenty of seating. The lot is big and shared with other businesses. The bad: picking the wrong single item to try. I wanted to be adventurous and try something different. Rather than getting the butter chicken or tikka masala, I got the chicken kurma. The chicken was dry but it did pull apart easily. The curry was flavorful but that didn’t make up for the mediocre chicken. I think I’ll stick to Indian buffets to try more items. I might even come back to try this place if it’s convenient.

Good: None Bad: Food is so bland. I got a lamb curry dish with rice and samosa. The samosa’s shell is not cooked all the way so it’s doughy on the inner layer(shell is thick, too thick). Lamb curry taste like it’s cooked w water and tomatoes with salt. I have had bad Indian food before but wow, this is really bad. Even the rice is bad… I mean, how do you screw the rice up? For some reason, the rice taste like it’s «sweating», hard but watery… sorry I know it’s confusing but again, tasteless. And… the topper? I bit into a fingernail in the curry. Guess they ran out of ingredients and decided to add a body part :(

Lunch buffet is absolutely terrific. All the flavors, including many vegetarian dishes, were bright and delicious. This restaurant was busier than I expected and packed with people. When I come back again I will try more of the vegetarian fare with the naan — not spongy, by the way, just right. I indulged on the butter chicken, and only tasted the tandoori and chicken 65, both were great, so I may try something new next time. I’m leaving here full and happy.
