Here’s how you know that I love a good book store– We visited my in-laws for two days. Day one was filled with family and food. Day two? They brought me to Acorn Books. Not because they love the joy of a small friendly bookstore, but because they love me, and wanted to be sure that I knew this store hadn’t closed, but had just moved a bit down the road. This is a small(but bigger than it looks!) well organized store with new and used books side by side on the shelves. There are multiple rooms, so be sure to ask if there is a section you are just not seeing. The owners are very nice, and will be happy to help you find what you need. As with so many small book stores, they can’t afford to mark new books down much, so check to see if you’ve found a new or a used copy of a newish title. They offer a loyalty program and have frequent sales, though, so paying full price for a new copy of a book is helped by the rewards you will see build as you return. I read constantly, and am happy to support small bookstores run by people who are dedicated to sharing the joy of the printed word. I’m looking forward to visiting again soon!
