Napper Tandy’s Irish Pub

NIce place that is very big inside and great for games. I love their Wednesday night wing night with $ 13 all you can eat and drink wings. After 10 it turns into a dance party and they have some great djs.
Happy Hour is 11am to 8pm weekdays with half price apps and drinks.
I love their quesadilla.

I came here to see a teacher from my high school tell his famous Christmas story tonight. We just wanted to eat dinner and listen to the story but what we got was a disaster.
First the waitress tells us she will be right with us once we sat at the table. Fifteen minutes go by and we just decide to order our drinks and appetizers at the bar. When the waitress finally does come by we tell her we already ordered appetizers and she can transfer it to her and we will order our mains. She didn’t seem all that interested in taking on another check and frankly I don’t blame her as she was the only waitress for a room of about 50 people.
After 40 minutes no food arrives and the waitress explains that they weren’t prepared for so many people. The bartender who we also discovered is one of the managers response that we hadn’t received our appetizers was «well everyone here ordered food. Now that’s the guy I want managing my bar.
The waitress finally got a break and took our order after realizing our food was either never put in or really taking that long. Our apps arrived within 20 minutes shortly followed by our mains right in the middle of trying to listen to the story.
When we got the check, which was never combined and had to be on two separate checks.
There was no apology at all or even an acceptance of a problem on the part of the bar
We have never received such atrocious service and we are out to eat often. I have never seen my husband so upset.

Came here to watch Sunday football with my brother in law. Nice open bar with a lot of seating and televisions, good drink deals, good food.

Its a dive bar so do not expect anything less. We came here around 10 for the UFC fight. The place itself is split into two parts, one had a live band with a cover and the other was the bar and college football games leading into the fight. Throughout the entire night, they couldn’t get the sound right. Sometimes the DJ was on, and way to loud, then the fight again way to loud… on and off constantly. The drinks in my opinion are watered down. I got a gin and tonic and tasted straight tonic. The beers, even bud light bottles are $ 5 when I know other dives will charge 4. Positive, no cover for the girl UFC fight but decent place for cheap drinks and a loud environment if you want to meet up with friends.

Great place to go to watch the game, eat some wings, and drink some beer. But if you’re looking for a quiet spot, definitely avoid Napper’s.
If you’re in the younger crowd and looking for a fun night, I would definitely recommend Wednesday’s Wing Night event. Good music, good drink deals, and great company.
While at wing night, if you’re looking for a little break and somewhere to sit, head to the back patio. I prefer to spend my time there, personally.

Great place to see bands play, great bar scene, nice service but alas the food is mediocre. Shepherds pie lacked meat and flavor, Reuben sandwich was sub par but we had a great time anyway.

Last night was the second time I went to Napper Tandys in Smithtown, and for the second time it was a miserable experience. I went with friends and There were two bar tenders, one was early twenties, I think his name was Dom, and he had black rimmed glasses, and the other one was probably early 40s. They were both so rude, they were talking with two other men, that were ordering drinks, those men were the ones who gave us one of the name of the bartender after over hearing is complaining. It took a while for us to order because no one would help us, when we got out drinks were so watered down, we asked the young bartender, who was the one that made the drink, if he would make a new one… he took the drink and dumped vodka on top of it and then gave it back. My friend started arguing with him, he was such a smart ass, We should have asked for a manager but we were all so annoyed we just left. The music wasn’t that bad, on one side there was a DJ, the other side there was a band, but the dance floor was small. Had it not been for the bartenders it could have been a good time and I would go back, but because of them I would never go there again.

We just had a surprise 50^th Birthday party at Napper Tandys. The food and service was great. One of the best parties our family ever had. Norma, Sherry, and Kris were outstanding. Thanks

Turn the volume down, your losing the Saturday night dinner crowd. Just came back from this pub on a Saturday night. Waitress was totally overwhelmed, going back and forth to her friends she told to come. Pretzel and soup took 25 minutes. Beer took 15 minutes. Just so you know there are about 8 tables in the whole place.
Bright side, French onion soup was great, Bavarian pretzel, great. Wanted to order entrees but if I did I wouldn’t be home writing this review right now on my couch in my silk boxers. I would still be at nappertandys waiting for food. Time is money, money is time. Blonde waitress very good. Young girl, not good. Time of visit, 8pm Saturday ¹²⁄₂₀. Narrow it down owner, narrow it down. I’m not happy.

Awesome fun bar and if people get stupid they kick the clowns right out. Lot of fun and good service

It’s a pub… It’s a bar. And they are super friendly when your friend is incredibly drunk and decides to dance on the bar top and then well… you know how nights like that end up.
They gave us heaps of water and stayed open longer so that we could sort ourselves out (oh yeah, there was some pantslessness going on too for the Birthday boy). All in all, a pretty great time. Actually, I’m happy to give 5 stars… I’ve also eaten there recently and while nothing with the food was stellar (typical pub grub), the combination was worth it!

Im giving this bar 1 star for a good sound to see a band play
other than that they need to Hire New Bartenders, the women are Nasty and Classless, don’t these people live off tips?.
The guy Bartenders were Great and very accommodating.
Having to Pay a cover to go in an empty bar is BS.
WONT Be returning here for a drink with the fella’s though.

Nappers is a very fun environment. Don’t come here if you want a quiet dinner with the family haha. Their food is pretty good and when it picks up, the dancing scene is pretty fun!!!

You want to watch a game? Napper Tandy’s is the place to go. Lot’s of screens, good pub food, good beers, friendly servers, and a nice crowd. The place is easily accessible with entrances in the front and the back, and its quite large with two different bars on either side. The place packs out on Sundays during football season and is a great place to go for root for whoever your team is, as you will usually find a wide variety of fans there. Its also a decent place to get a beer on a weeknight, with a decent amount of dirty women there to exploit.

I would have given them 4 stars but a place that allows a 2 year old kid to sit at the bar and act like they are drinking their mothers beer while their 3 year old sister runs around the bar with a knife in her hand while their parents drink and laugh about it Is a little to crazy. Did I mention the bar staff did nothing. Other than that the food was awesome.

Came here for a happy hour. The food and beer was great. However, the rest of the story doesn’t end there. My friend and I were both (!) charged on our credit cards the entire bill (there were 4 of us total). Not cool. The manager was very helpful and finally refunded the extra-​charged portion to my card, but this took several phone calls to remind them and thus a few weeks. I was not at all amused during this process.

Great food, decent beer, brilliant crowd.

Didn’t like this spot. It was nice enough inside but I didn’t appreciate having to pay a $ 5 cover to get into an empty bar. I did because my friends were inside and I didn’t want to move the whole group because I came too late but still. Ew.
Also, they advertise falsely online. I was expecting $ 4 absolute but when I ordered at the bar, I was told that there was no such special, only crap beer. Ew.
I’m going to try my hardest to not go there again.

When I first approached this bar, I was a bit lost. Unfamiliar place, 3000 miles away from home, and there seemed to be a private BBQ event at the front patio of the bar (which I would later find out was for-​purchase and everyone welcome). Maybe that’s what I get for wandering into a bar in unfamiliar territory, but it really shouldn’t be this way, local’s bar or not.
-=-Venue-​=- In this part of Long Island, good old bar and grills are hard to come by which is what first attracted me here. I seated myself at one of the corners of the bar and found myself in some prime real estate since I was in the area closest to the patio. There was plenty of seating elsewhere, but the bar was the spot to be.
Service at the bar was a bit of a disappointment. I would not be noticed or acknowledged by the bartender for quite some time. The age group of this bar was mixed from older flojoes to young yuppies but being right in the middle of those groups ended up with myself not so popular with the waitstaff here.
When ordering my food, i would not even be sure if my order was heard since i would be ordering and the waitress would suddenly be walking away as i was talking. For the longest time, i wasn’t sure if i would get my entire order. My fish and chips came out cold and par in quality, but the French onion soup was cheesy and made the experience a bit better. I would hear conversation of some of the bartenders working in areas where they were not supposed to. Customers being ignored as a result of this is unacceptable.
Food is average, and service is below average. So about 2.5 stars.
